I think its also a lot about the relationship each team has. I believe Sentinels are very close from players to coach and other staff from what I've seen in their videos. As you said his words aren't meant like hate or anything like that, he wants to win and see each of them be successful with how much work they put in. So I'm sure the players get that and its the right thing to say to wake everyone up and motivate them.
People that say stuff like that have never been on a sports team. This way of talking to your players is mostly standard in football.
respect to zellsis for not doing anything and just listening. everyone else fiddling around just seems uncomfortable with the criticism, but zellsis showing some real courage there just taking it all.

You see everyone else on the team packing their stuff up, not making eye contact with Kaplan while Zellsis is standing there looking straight at Kaplan and taking the criticism in.

for people who want specifics, it was EDG coach maokai who got angry after they lost to RNG, what made it surprising to the players was that coach maokai never ever yelled at them before, it was the first time the players have seen him THAT upset at all and it was just eye-opening to them that he was even yelling.

I thought he was gonna be really mad at them after their performance like EDG Maokai did with his players in LPL... but no Kaplan is much nicer than I anticipated but damn he is still scary... I remember my coach talk to me like that for 20 Mins after a volleyball match where my sets were absolutely dogshit that day and it cost us our match and removing us in playoffs... it felt nice and scary at the same time so I trained real hard not to experience that shit ever again

NRG dynamic is different. Because Chet doesnt have authority whatsoever and team was also disrespectful vs Puchan.
I think two major things that differ:
-Kaplan was always saying "we". "We played like shit, etc". Hes holding himself and eveyone else accountable.
-Team is on a different mindset. Sen is clearly listening and willing to improve while NRG is still pissed, invalidating and doesnt listen shit.
Maybe wait a few for the pep talk.
SEN's one was after a regular season game. NRG's one was a after an international elimination game where they were one 3v1 away from winning. Ofc NRG is gonna seem more upset at the moment than SEN.
I agree it was different but the emotions from the players is different, sen were more disappointed in themselves and nrg were more pissed, likely coz of higher stakes and loss was way more frustrating
you also have to factor in the stakes that NRG were currently facing. The top reply said that it was Elimination game on International Stage, so they will seen much more upset than SEN...
If you put SEN on that same stake and same stage that NRG were in, I will be impressed if they can manage to stay disciplined after a devastating lost.

Almost every pro player makes the taking a non-tradeable 1v1 fight on a man advantage mistake. You're probably just tunnel-visioned on tenz's but almost everyone does that. Also, that is not what inconsistent mean, it's more so undisciplined.
I wouldn’t say very inconsistent but he did not play good on lotus. Sure statistically he did well, but he relied on his raw mechanics to get multikills a few rounds. There were a lot of times he wasn’t playing with his team. The 3v1 retake zellsis mentioned is one of them, where Sacy ulted and all they needed to do was run at the guy on site together, but tenz goes drop by himself and swings early and dies. There was many times where this happened on lotus where he swings by himself or makes rlly questionable entry and dies. I’m not trying to hate, tenz is a rlly good player and improved a lot this year but his head was not in the game against Lev (watch the match and you’ll see)
