I've done the same thing but with the Commando. I am only running ECM and a Heavy PPC, however, I am so small and so fast, that it works to peekaboo, snap a shot, disappear and repeat. Its another one of those builds that requires constant shooting to rack up damage, however, if you are behind the ankles of your team heavies and assaults, you're almost invisible. What's more, is most enemies don't expect to get stung by a Commando from 500+ yards.
I congratulate you for having the self control to not turn around and shoot your teammate in the face for blocking you, I know too many other mech warriors who won't have hesitated.
They should do something interesting with the survival tree like giving you a arm shield that has 1.5 tons of armor but reduces your speed slightly for medium mechs
Even something in the 5-10 ton range that acts as an additional component and encourages torso twisting and clever positioning. The ability to sacrifice some firepower for additional tankyness when employed correctly.
Haven't seen this build in a while. Wolverine is such an underrated mech I feel. It's very versatile, has good survivability, packs a punch and is pretty mobile. I thought for a moment the urbie pack might bring the second game back :D Pretty good damage for laser vomit and enjoyable, if a little frustrating, games. Thanks Bara ;D
@@maraudercatt8564 Peek with your mech twisted and turn to shoot when you take a hit. It helps to have armlock off in this mech as you can shield the arm a lot more and still hit with it. Practice makes perfect :D
Is it me or a lot of people are not positioning themselves correctly in the games? They block retreat or getting in the way and suffering team damage? MWO is as much causing damage as it is positioning.
Moving in tight spaces with other mechs takes a lot of practice as well as communication. There are a few hard rules that new players have to learn (like never stand directly behind where their legs are pointing and give them room to fire) etc, but if you can't communicate with the person closely then it's just impossible to be 100% efficient with your positioning.

Yeah, they changed it after I joined, but it really doesn't make any sense. These are the people that most need to be able to listen and ask questions over VC.

Build suggestion, Make a mech optimized for getting behind your opponents and shooting them in the back for a surprise kill. The faster the kill the better and no rockets allowed! :)

Hey Bara, I've been experimenting with rocket launchers lately after seeing you use them. The problem I find is that they don't seem to do as much damage as I think they will. For instance, I'm running my loyalty Blackjack with 4 rocket launcher 20s (and 2 ER large lasers) and while they should be doing 160 damage the result never seems to be that good. Shouldn't I basically be coring anything lighter than an assault with them? I smacked a Boom-Jager yesterday with them at about 200 meters (aimed CT) but he was only down to yellow and orange after the hit. Am I missing something? Should've he have been dead? 160 damage is a lot. Anyway, love the videos.

I had that on my team a couple of times tonight. LRMs were unpopular, so his NARCs were practically useless. Then enemies kept under-running his PPCs, making him even more useless.
