The only difference between Indians of the Straits (in Malaysia and Singapore) and Indians of the mother subcontinent is that here in the Straits, the Indians don't insult you and call you names. They have learnt to coexist with other races (Malays, Chinese and other native tribes) and respect each other's traditions. This is why foreigners were baffled why such heterogeneous societies can exist in harmony and peace...because Westerners come from lands where bigotry is celebrated, diversity is mocked. As long as westerners dont bring their toxic ideologies, they are welcomed warmly here in our Southeast Asian gardens. Enjoy bro!
