I have played golf for basically my entire life (30 years). Over the last few years I really lost my passion for the game and felt no desire to play. A few months ago I was introduce to the channel. Seeing you guys out there having a blast has really sparked my interest in the game again. At the end of the day, it’s all about just going out there with your friends and having a good time, thanks for reminding me of that!
Yeah I lost my passion after I moved and didn’t have my friends to go with. I decided to do lessons for the first time and take it serious, I paid for a year upfront. Until I hurt my back, I was doing a lesson every week or two and practicing at least 3 nights a week. Having someone tell me what to work on makes practice feel and be productive and seeing the changes has restored my motivation. Just throwing it out there, that’s what helped me stay in it, but I’m also geared that way. I want to be good and I like to practice if I see improvement from it
When I was a junior golfer I took golf very seriously, to the point I lost my temper. At one point I broke my putter (snapped the head) and the bottom of my golf bag (hole through it) when I hit the bottom of it. At that exact moment I decided never to get angry or upset again on the golf course, that was an awakening of my soul, doesn't matter what I scored from that day onwards it would just be good vibes. One thing I realised too late in my golfing career was that not practising at the driving range was contributing to my temper on the course. I was expecting to hit good shots but had never practiced the shots I wanted to play. To get good you must practice at the range, for example visualise the course in your mind and practice the required shots until you nail it, then stick to your game plan when you go to your local course, and remember "good vibes only, and laugh at yourself."
As much as I love the banter between Cutsy and Bobby, im not going to lie. I love the back and forth between FP and Cutsy. Bash brothers for sure. Nice job guys!
