Loved this video. I am in the over 50 group, and I find I still can wear alot of this style. Loved the uneven black trimmed dress, so elegant! You make this style look so effortless! Have a great week.
Thank you for the lovely comment, Beverly 💗 The crochet trim dress with the uneven hem seems to be a favorite! I'm so happy you found this style guide helpful and I hope to continue to add to it in the future 🥰
Thank you Sarah. Many years ago..well, decades ago I wore lace, bows and much more feminine clothing. My mother used to do my hair with giant white bows! Through life experiences and the need to be more corporate and take more responsibility, I morphed into a more severe, classic black and white look without the feminine embellishments though, I have never abandoned my pearls. I am now in a place where I can reinvent and return to feminine dressing. I have so much black. I am going on the hunt for soft pinks and ivory at the thrift stores. We live in a warm climate so, sadly, I cannot collect my first love, coats. You have inspired me so much. I am taking a few hours today to watch more of your videos. May you be blessed for your lovely sharing.
I absolutely loved reading through your comment and so sorry that it took me so long to respond, but your comment just really made my morning 💞 I hope your journey of falling back in love with the feminine style is going well and you are enjoying a fresh start to the new year! Feminine style has made a comeback especially these past few years and I am loving all the options there are for us to build our dream wardrobes! Wishing you so much happiness as you begin the new year ✨
@@SarahKathleenRomantic Thank you Sarah! Since my comment I have thrifted some lovely eyelet dresses in white and pink and they certainly lift all my black to a more lovely level. I have my eye on a pair of pink (can you believe it?) flat Mary Jane shoes as we live in a city that has cobblestone streets so heels are out of the question. You are a blessing! Wishing you showers of unexpected subscribers, positive comments and of course, blessings in 2024.💝
@@evb1601 I am so happy you have found some dresses to add to your wardrobe! omg pink Mary Janes sound perfect..hmmm you many have inspired me 😃Thank you for the sweetest reply!💕
I love the colour pink and I don’t honestly have much pink in my wardrobe. I sometimes feel like I’m too old for it, but it’s a flattering colour. Something I should keep in mind next time I’m shopping.
Yesss never too old for pink, but finding the right balance for your personal style is key💗 It took trial and error to find the right shade of pink that best suits my skin tone and wardrobe colors and I know the same will happen for you 👌
Glad you took the holidays off, and glad to see you back! That white lace Regencycore dress is to die for. It hugs you so beautifully AND flares for twirls! Also the fit and flare cardigan is so beautiful.
Aww thank you and I hope you had a lovely holiday season as well 💗 Im thankful for the time to take a little rest but I'm ready to get back to it ✨ omg I love the peices you mentioned! The hourglass cardigan is so cozy and layers so nicely with trousers as well as dresses. I will def rent it again or purchase it at some point since it's a great basic!
Great tips. I so wish I were tall or Loveschackfancy made petite. For petite people out there, we can't carry a lot ruffles and bows and drama. It's usually overpowering for our frames and if yiu carry some extra weight, a lot of detailing can make you look heavier. I usually just pick one feminine detail and I usually keep it on the the top not bottom. Embroidery and lace are great details for petites. Ruffles are tricky. It depends on where they fall on you.
I've been learning the right balance with ruffles and I agree, they can be tricky, but so flattering if you get it right 🥰 I love your tips for the petite gals out there, thank you so helpful👌
omg I've been thinking about keeping the crochet dress 💗 Although if I do keep it I'd like to get in a size small instead of extra small (it's a little snug around the chest) but I highly recommend it! Its from Anthropologie and its incredibly detailed 😍
Hello Sarah, you do know how to style ,I do love pink too. Isn't that coat beautiful,I also loved everything. Loved that cardigan with the black bow so cute. Enjoyed everything on you ,takecare and see you again soon . 🤩💖🌺XO
I’m doing a week of pink/red clothing for Valentines. For example, your pink ruffle dress with pink cardigan would also be a great outfit to wear before or after Valentines.
Sarah, I just adore your style & eye for detail! Where are the cream lace-up boots from? Every time I search for vintage boots, they look like witch's boots. 😂 Help! 💕
Aww thank you! 💗 The white lace up boots are from Jeffrey Campbell and I purchased them a few years ago so I cant find this exact pair again. But I have seen similar pairs come up second hand on The Real Real! The one pair of white lace up boots that I have seen that is very similar is from the brand LK Bennet..but they are pricey.. so you might be able to thrift a nice pair if you keep your eye out! I hope that helps 💗
I guessed immediately that the embroidered dress was from Love Shack Fancy. My mom and I saw a similar one at the Dallas store for $875, so the fact you got it from the RealReal, in my opinion, makes it your best thrifted item.
There are so many Loveshackfancy dresses for under $200 on the Real Real 🌸 I just wait and hope for the ones I love to pop up second hand on there! 💗 The only trouble with the second hand ones is the sizes are always difficult to figure out lol but it's worth the extra work 🥰 How was your trip to the Dallas store?!!
@@SarahKathleenRomantic Mom and I loved the store. Mom took a couple of pictures of me in front of the store. I was wearing my pink floral blouse and as soon as I walked in the sales lady said that I looked like the store. I only bought one item. I bought a pink fabric bunny for my vacation house cabinet.
@@Prepwithane Im so happy you enjoyed your time at the store and the pink floral blouse you decided to wear sounds absolutely perfect for a girly day 💗 So happy you found something for your cabinet!
Hey Lisa! The lace camisole is from the brand LoveShackfancy and I thrifted off the real real and here is a very similar piece I found in sale at Saks: www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/loveshackfancy-sobia-floral--amp--lace-tank-0400016122792.html?dwvar_0400016122792_color=ANTIQUE+WHITE
I will sometimes use oxiclean (for whites) or shout out depending on the piece but if I get a coffee stain or dirt on anything I try to soak it as soon as I can so it doesn't have time to settle into the clothing 💕🤗
I love the brand list Lisbet mentioned and I shop and love all those brands🥰 a few more I can add on include: DISSH, Loeffler Randall, Rachel Parcell , Alice + Olivia, Zimmerman ( I love shopping Zimmerman second hand off the Real Real) I also wanted to add on that I discover alot of brands through Nuuly (the rental service) as well!
It took me time to have the confidence to embrace my feminine style (years in fact lol) and it helped to surround myself (through social media- IG and Pinterest) with other women who love to dress the same 💗
suit floral is ugly, freedom from religion keep it private you cult, but otherwise great wardrobe but the color palette is lacking only pink and white with floral patterns, laces

How do you wash your clothes and shoes to keep them looking brand new.

I have a difficult question for you: What brand or brands would you say scream your romantic way of dressing?
A couple of brands that I would check out:
Ralph Lauren
Laura Ashley
Anthropologie
Love Shack Fancy
Sezane
