If you ask ARMY what BTS's best song is... you're going to get 100 different answers. And that will change,too, depending on the mood. You have to realize that BTS has made songs JUST for ARMY. These songs evoke so many emtions that maybe others wouldn't understand. Like Take Two - the feelings from that song, with 2 members already enlisted - just really personal. Anyway...I suggest On Kinetic Manifesto, Dope, Fire, Blood, Sweat &Tears. Also watching Festa Room Live or BTS Tiny Desk Concert - these kind of give you a feel for the members.
BTS' albums are thematic. They are built around a theme and sometimes the theme stretches across 2 or 3 albums. The Love Yourself (LY) theme consists of 3 albums: LY- Her (about falling in love and the joy of love), LY-Tear (about the downside of Love, the heartbreak) and LY-Answer (about the importance of self-love). The song "Fake Love" is the title track of the LY-Tear album, arguably one of their strongest albums. Many of their songs explore difficult topics and are thoughtful, often based on literature, philosophy. There is no other group like them.

Yes! I think Bora did a great job making a guide. It's concise, but covers a lot of the really important points about the group. I think it's a great place to start and of course we all want them to watch Taylor Mari's guide later on. But I think that the Bora City guide is a better place to start for now and then we can bring them into the longer and more detailed guides later when they're more likely to retain more of the information.
The symbology! The phones flashing, but media can be fake, the empty picture frames, no real people. The scene in the room with the sink, he was literally painted into a corner. The hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil in the their hand movement choreography. They have hundreds of songs. They have all been my favorite at some point. We are holding our breath until they are all out of the military. Before they went in, they all did solo work and it’s still dropping while they are gone. Fake love was the first era I experienced as new Army back in 2018. I remember they performed this song for the first time at the BBMAs and everyone went crazy! Y’all should definitely check it out. 💜

I honestly don't know of any bad songs. But Spring Day is my favorite. It just touches my heart! It has been on Melon’s Top 100 weekly chart for 260 weeks consecutively, which means that it has now never left the top 100 songs on this list in five years!! I'm voting for Blood Sweat and Tears by BTS next - my fave! Although I have about 77 fave songs from them lolz coz BTS doesn't make bad songs - for real for real. The listening becomes even better when you understand what they're trying to say in their songs and when you know what the boys are like and when you know more about their journey. Y'all were talking about fake love and how it can apply to anyone and fake relationships in general... this is what BTS is about: putting those legit real emotions into song and the songs can be serious, silly, deep, melodic, slow, fast - it's banger after banger! They did perform this song at the Billboard Music Awards, but I have to say Fake Love performances on award shows like the MMA and MAMA are even more epic-ly amazing. American award shows’ budget seem low or small beans for stages compared to MMA and MAMA. Anyway, just a tidbit.

Welcome. I always recommend people begin at the beginning of the BTS discography, then you can appreciate the group’s artistic evolution. The songs in hangul are more in-depth and interesting than the full English songs ( which were given during covid to lift people’s spirits). I don’t have a favourite BTS song, just a special song that fits certain situations. Remember for most songs there is a dance practice video and a behind the scenes/making video. For the older songs there is also the music show’s performances. There are annual music award shows (MAMA, MMA, Golden Disc and more). Live concerts are worth the watch, they are so much better live! 💜Borahae
As a fan of heavy metal and driving guitar rock, I have to say that 1...theres something about BTS that just hits right, and 2...they don't have a single bad song. They have songs that I like more than others, but not one of them is a "bad" song. What I find so appealing about their music is that it's as if they lived my life and wrote music about it 😂 I can absolutely relate to every song I've heard. 💜💜💜💜💜
Fake Love can be understood on so many levels, not just romantic love. BTS has no bad videos. They might cover a genre you don't care for, like a ballad or an anthem, but they are still excellent. My favorite BTS songs are Mikrokosmos, DNA, Answer: Love Yourself, Spring Day, and Magic Shop.
I always love watching someone new to BTS watch them. They are absolutely amazing and their fans (ARMY) are ALL AGES. I am so thankful they came into my life 5 years ago. Fake Love is COMPLEX and requires an in-depth analysis on a multi-layered scope. Not only from a musical perspective, but also the lyricals, the philosophical references, the "BU" storylines, and director & real life stunts and shots for the MV... just so much to discuss. Hell, I could even talk hours about how significant this song was to their career in the US music industry. 😂
Would love to see you react to Magic Shop live - BTS are better live! Also, whenever I see Army mention that BTS are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists (which is true), I always suggest watching their cover of Coldplay's Fix You which I believe show that they are actually 7 vocalists.
I can't imagine picking a 'best' song from BTS. Their discography is so big and so varied, and the subjects they cover so diverse... For me it's more like there are sets of songs that I listen to when I want something happy and light, a different set when I want comfort, another for dancing or working out, another for when I want to cry, etc. The thing with BTS is their songs are consistently well-written, well-produced and well-performed. And their performances are amazingly good. They put their whole hearts into every one. So, you'll find ones you like less than others, but even those will be high quality (and sometimes those really sneak up on you and you'll end up liking them a lot). Don't feel like you have to like everything, though - some songs will be more your style than others. This one would actually give you the backstory of not only BTS, but how K-pop groups are created and what they go through. Then you’ll understand how BTS got together and what made them become a family way beyond being a group.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned but they film behind the scenes vlogs when they record their videos. Initially, I think it was because they had to find ways to promote because they were from a small label (although they never skimped on their videos) but over time, I think the company realized these are once in a lifetime artists so they document as much as they can.

There are a lot of good vids on YT that go over song visuals and lyrics and kinda help explain everything going on cuz it can def be a lot to take in with language translations and relevant cultural info that us westerners might not get. They really are the whole package both as a group and in their solo work! They are by far the most talented humble hard working creative and hilarious group of guys I've ever seen... and I've been around awhileeeee lol I really think the fact that they are so humble and have zero egos helped them get this far and last this long. The story is deep and takes twists and turns! (There are explanation and summary videos on TH-cam.) BTW, BTS does not have a bad song! I'm 68 years old and have enjoyed my fair share of music over my lifetime, but nothing has touched me or changed my life like these young men and their music. The lyrics that they mostly write themselves are often deep and meaningful, touching on social issues such as mental health, oppression, female empowerment, self-love, and many others. If you watch Taylor's guide you will get little snippits of songs as well. They have so many songs that will get you in your feels. 'The Truth Untold' and 'Spring Day' are probably their most emotional songs in my opinion. If you choose to react to 'Spring Day' please also react to the explanation video at the same time.

BTS started as a hip hop group, but now cover many genres of music, including rap, pop, latin pop, edm, hip hop and much more. The group is made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and they are amazing dancers, known for their complex choreography and live performances. Some MV's to start: Black Swan, Mic Drop, Idol, DNA, On Kinetic Manifesto, Dope, Fire, Not Today, Airplane pt 2, Save Me. Live performances to start: Festa 2021, Tiny Desk, MMA 2018 and 2019. Rap line songs to start: Ugh, Outro Series, Cypher series, Born Singer, Baepsae (Silver Spoon). Vocal Line songs: House of Cards, The Truth Untold. To learn more about their backgrounds and a bit of their personalities, it is really worth watching an introduction video. The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mairi has the best summary and snapshot into them as a group and individuals, in my opinion. There is also a great shorter video from Boracity called 'A Guide to BTS (for haters, sceptics and non-pop fans), which isn't as indepth, but a good place to start.

Asking ARMY to pick a favourite song is like asking a parent to pick their favourite child😱 This morning my favourite is Not Today to wake me up, hype me up to prepare for a difficult day at work! Last night it was House of Cards. When i drive late at night i love Louder Than Bombs. It really depends on my mood. In case you are interested and because i only saw one quick mention of it in a comment, BTS not only have themes across a set if albums but they have a fictional storyline called the Bangtan Universe or BU that has been running since 2015. It starts in their MV for I Need You and the story was released a little at a time over years in MVs, short stories, notebooks, a Webtoon called Save Me, and even a mobile game. It is quite dark, i think you would be quite shocked by the first MV. Fake love MV is part of that storyline so some of the imagery will not make sense to you. Jimin with water, Suga with fire, J Hope with snickers bars and fair ground stuff, Jungkook watching them shut away from their fears and trying to help them. Once you get to know them better, it might interest you to check out the storyline. Loving your reactions so far. I think Boracity's guide might be a good one to start for them as individuals but i agree with another comment that The Most Beautiful Moment in Life guide by Roce Squad might set the scene of KPop and how BTS are different a little more clearly for the first guide for you.

Great reaction! Not sure if any of us can say Fake love is our favorite, but for each of us, it holds a special place in our hearts. Whether it’s because it’s the performance we were so proud of that bought a larger Western audience, a song that spoke to us on a personal level, or perhaps just the first song that introduced some of us to BTS, there are so many variables. There are also so many variables in BTS’s discography as you could legit create a track list of songs for every mood and every occasion. I love Fake Love and it’s always been on my no-skip list since it came out however my no-skip list has 214 BTS group and solo songs on it so I might not be the right person to ask 😂😂😂💜APOBANGPO ARMIES! Nice reaction. However, I do want to bring up one thing which is particularly true of BTS. Along with great musical composition, it helps to understand that a portion of the addictive power of K Pop is the amount of investment that is made into the visual. I get and respect grooving with eyes closed or away from the screen. It is something we all tend to do. But keep in mind when you do so you remove yourself from a key element of the overall art. K Pop videos can be like movies and BTS is top tier in this. They sometimes can be like foreign films. I think commenters likely will go into details which chances are address many aspects of what you react to. Listening and watching both will facilitate your interactions and hopefully keep growing your channel.

Don't ask me to pick a favorite song because I can't but a few of my favorite albums from BTS are Dark & Wild, Love Yourself Tear, and Map of the Soul 7 (honestly they have a very vast, very diverse, and no skip discography). I have absolutely loved all of the solo albums too! It is mind blowing to me how they could create such an amazing body of work. There is something for everyone.

No such thing as a bad BTS songs or a bad seat at their concerts. I've been twice and it's like you're in a different world. Zero O Clock is another great one and Airplane Pt 2 will make you wanna go on a vacation.

These songs evoke so many emtions that maybe others wouldn't understand. Like Take Two - the feelings from that song, with 2 members already enlisted - just really personal. Anyway...I suggest On Kinetic Manifesto, Dope, Fire, Blood, Sweat &Tears. Also watching Festa Room Live or BTS Tiny Desk Concert - these kind of give you a feel for the members.

BTS' albums are thematic. They are built around a theme and sometimes the theme stretches across 2 or 3 albums. The Love Yourself (LY) theme consists of 3 albums: LY- Her (about falling in love and the joy of love), LY-Tear (about the downside of Love, the heartbreak) and LY-Answer (about the importance of self-love). The song "Fake Love" is the title track of the LY-Tear album, arguably one of their strongest albums.
Many of their songs explore difficult topics and are thoughtful, often based on literature, philosophy. There is no other group like them.

Yes! I think Bora did a great job making a guide. It's concise, but covers a lot of the really important points about the group. I think it's a great place to start and of course we all want them to watch Taylor Mari's guide later on. But I think that the Bora City guide is a better place to start for now and then we can bring them into the longer and more detailed guides later when they're more likely to retain more of the information.
The symbology! The phones flashing, but media can be fake, the empty picture frames, no real people. The scene in the room with the sink, he was literally painted into a corner. The hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil in the their hand movement choreography. They have hundreds of songs. They have all been my favorite at some point. We are holding our breath until they are all out of the military. Before they went in, they all did solo work and it’s still dropping while they are gone. Even their dance practices are awesome to watch. AND, they are better live 😊if you can believe it. Thanks guys. ❤

I'm voting for Blood Sweat and Tears by BTS next - my fave! Although I have about 77 fave songs from them lolz coz BTS doesn't make bad songs - for real for real. The listening becomes even better when you understand what they're trying to say in their songs and when you know what the boys are like and when you know more about their journey. Y'all were talking about fake love and how it can apply to anyone and fake relationships in general... this is what BTS is about: putting those legit real emotions into song and the songs can be serious, silly, deep, melodic, slow, fast - it's banger after banger! Welcome. I always recommend people begin at the beginning of the BTS discography, then you can appreciate the group’s artistic evolution. The songs in hangul are more in-depth and interesting than the full English songs ( which were given during covid to lift people’s spirits). I don’t have a favourite BTS song, just a special song that fits certain situations. Remember for most songs there is a dance practice video and a behind the scenes/making video. For the older songs there is also the music show’s performances. There are annual music award shows (MAMA, MMA, Golden Disc and more). Live concerts are worth the watch, they are so much better live! 💜Borahae
As a fan of heavy metal and driving guitar rock, I have to say that 1...theres something about BTS that just hits right, and 2...they don't have a single bad song. They have songs that I like more than others, but not one of them is a "bad" song. What I find so appealing about their music is that it's as if they lived my life and wrote music about it 😂

Fake Love can be understood on so many levels, not just romantic love. BTS has no bad videos. They might cover a genre you don't care for, like a ballad or an anthem, but they are still excellent. My favorite BTS songs are Mikrokosmos, DNA, Answer: Love Yourself, Spring Day, and Magic Shop.
I always love watching someone new to BTS watch them. They are absolutely amazing and their fans (ARMY) are ALL AGES. I am so thankful they came into my life 5 years ago. ARMY has a saying that "BTS comes into your life right when you need them". Despite all the adversities they have endured and continue to they only exude positivity. They genuinely care about people & truly love ARMY. I love your reaction and have so many recommendations but in order to really know about them you need to know their names & about each one of them. That's why I strongly suggest reacting to A Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. It is 47 minutes long but goes by very quickly. And no need to read it to us, we have seen it hundreds of times. I know that you will appreciate & even respect them more after watching the Guide. Fake Love is COMPLEX and requires an in-depth analysis on a multi-layered scope. Not only from a musical perspective, but also the lyricals, the philosophical references, the "BU" storylines, and director & real life stunts and shots for the MV... just so much to discuss. Hell, I could even talk hours about how significant this song was to their career in the US music industry. 😂
Would love to see you react to Magic Shop live - BTS are better live! Also, whenever I see Army mention that BTS are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists (which is true), I always suggest watching their cover of Coldplay's Fix You which I believe show that they are actually 7 vocalists.
I can't imagine picking a 'best' song from BTS. Their discography is so big and so varied, and the subjects they cover so diverse... For me it's more like there are sets of songs that I listen to when I want something happy and light, a different set when I want comfort, another for dancing or working out, another for when I want to cry, etc. The thing with BTS is their songs are consistently well-written, well-produced and well-performed. And their performances are amazingly good. They put their whole hearts into every one. So, you'll find ones you like less than others, but even those will be high quality (and sometimes those really sneak up on you and you'll end up liking them a lot). Don't feel like you have to like everything, though - some songs will be more your style than others. Welcome to the great adventure that is getting to know our 7 wonderful, talented, totally goofy but also really deep and thoughtful guys!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned but they film behind the scenes vlogs when they record their videos. Initially, I think it was because they had to find ways to promote because they were from a small label (although they never skimped on their videos) but over time, I think the company realized these are once in a lifetime artists so they document as much as they can.

There are a lot of good vids on YT that go over song visuals and lyrics and kinda help explain everything going on cuz it can def be a lot to take in with language translations and relevant cultural info that us westerners might not get. They really are the whole package both as a group and in their solo work! They are by far the most talented humble hard working creative and hilarious group of guys I've ever seen... and I've been around awhileeeee lol I really think the fact that they are so humble and have zero egos helped them get this far and last this long. The song was No.1 on all music charts in Korea at the time. BTS began in 2013, so there is a massive back catalogue of music of about 500 songs. BTS started as a hip hop group, but now cover many genres of music, including rap, pop, latin pop, edm, hip hop and much more. The group is made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and they are amazing dancers, known for their complex choreography and live performances.

Asking ARMY to pick a favourite song is like asking a parent to pick their favourite child😱 This morning my favourite is Not Today to wake me up, hype me up to prepare for a difficult day at work! Last night it was House of Cards. When i drive late at night i love Louder Than Bombs. It really depends on my mood.
In case you are interested and because i only saw one quick mention of it in a comment, BTS not only have themes across a set if albums but they have a fictional storyline called the Bangtan Universe or BU that has been running since 2015. It starts in their MV for I Need You and the story was released a little at a time over years in MVs, short stories, notebooks, a Webtoon called Save Me, and even a mobile game. It is quite dark, i think you would be quite shocked by the first MV.
Fake love MV is part of that storyline so some of the imagery will not make sense to you. Jimin with water, Suga with fire, J Hope with snickers bars and fair ground stuff, Jungkook watching them shut away from their fears and trying to help them. Once you get to know them better, it might interest you to check out the storyline.

I think Boracity's guide might be a good one to start for them as individuals but i agree with another comment that The Most Beautiful Moment in Life guide by Roce Squad might set the scene of KPop and how BTS are different a little more clearly for the first guide for you.
Taylor Mari’s guide to BTS, in my opinion, is the best overall introduction of all the members. It is a bit long, but not too long, it is formatted & edited really well. Great reaction! Not sure if any of us can say Fake love is our favorite, but for each of us, it holds a special place in our hearts. Whether it’s because it’s the performance we were so proud of that bought a larger Western audience, a song that spoke to us on a personal level, or perhaps just the first song that introduced some of us to BTS, there are so many variables. There are also so many variables in BTS’s discography as you could legit create a track list of songs for every mood and every occasion. Nice reaction. However, I do want to bring up one thing which is particularly true of BTS. Along with great musical composition, it helps to understand that a portion of the addictive power of K Pop is the amount of investment that is made into the visual. I get and respect grooving with eyes closed or away from the screen. It is something we all tend to do. But keep in mind when you do so you remove yourself from a key element of the overall art. K Pop videos can be like movies and BTS is top tier in this. They sometimes can be like foreign films. I think commenters likely will go into details which chances are address many aspects of what you react to. Listening and watching both will facilitate your interactions and hopefully keep growing your channel.

Don't ask me to pick a favorite song because I can't but a few of my favorite albums from BTS are Dark & Wild, Love Yourself Tear, and Map of the Soul 7 (honestly they have a very vast, very diverse, and no skip discography). I have absolutely loved all of the solo albums too! It is mind blowing to me how they could create such an amazing body of work. There is something for everyone.
