Tonight's episode "Indigenous in the City" features Winnipeg's Most, Kent Monkman, Lee Maracle, Lesley Varley and more! Tune in at 9 PM on CBC Television! -
So are the Winnipigs police who admit rolling in the hood and just IDing people , thats a crime of our rights to be secure in our papers and not unlawfully harssed but cops are criminals too just armed with tin badges of tyranny .
Kinew has done an absolutely fantastic job at giving a deeper insight to what these guys are really like and where they are right now. I really respect how he didn't get too judgmental or biased. He showed both sides of the coin and the realities that many aboriginal people go through in today's western dominated structure. Koodos.
I live in winnipeg, I'm only 13 and Winnipeg's Most is one of my Inspiriations . I try to rap and I try to be as good rappers as they are . I hope one day I can meet these guys .
What a great story. I am not a fan of rap, but my kids are. I watched this video and this group rocks. They are really good. Keep up th great work. You are a positive influence on your culture. I love it. Thank you.

I SWEAR IT AMAZING THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN INTERVIEWED, MY UNCLE IS 1 OF 2 MEMBERS OB NATIVE MOB BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THAT I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY CAUSE I WAS NEVER APART OF THEM... BUT I KNOW HOW IT IS TO GROW UP AND DEAL WITH GANGS.... I JOINED BOUNTY HUNTER BLOOD'S BACK IN 2005-2006 I DID WHAT I HAD TO FOR MY SELF... I DID WORK WITHOUT ??? SO I HAD TO GET OUT OF TOWN AND I HAD THE PERFECT PLACE, QUITE AND YET CONTROVERSIAL BUT YET MY HOME.... LEECH LAKE!!
these guys had canada bumping, i made my first ever recorded song with Jon C in 2013/14, we used his old recording equipment back in 2014 aswell! it was legendary for us young ones at the time! but life moves on, alot of people are now dead or moved on to anther life
Marion Paul I've been to Prince George. The Generator is a good place to get in a brawl that's for sure. It is pretty grungy in PG. That being said it also is nowhere near to Compton in terms of violence. I heard Grand Prairie is pretty bad. Never witnessed it there first hand though so I can't say for certain. From what I've heard Grand Prairie is pretty grimmy though.
Augustao Harold Boss You're an idiot. Yes people get shot murdered in Winnipeg. Technically for the past several years though Thunder Bay and Edmonton have been more violent. None of them compare to the violence you see in US cities though.
Thats amazing Canada seems to look at its aboriginal populations as the USA looks at most of its black population... I will continue to model myself as if I do not have a color. Positively...
I don't live in the North End but I do go to a vocational high school in the North End and I quite like it, it's a laid back, small population school and it's just right. I mean not everyone is in gangs or is interested, not everyone is lacking in school. We're all assorted bunch, the whole lot of us are trying.
Respect to da most wen I came to Winnipeg there's nothing going on they definitely put Winnipeg on the map people know that that's why they hating who else in this city have over million real on there videos be proud Winnipeg before them y'all didn't have no good rappers expect for hell&back first rapper I heard wen I came to dis city all my native people stand up remember that track that's where it all started much respect
It amazes me how we have all this info now about what the politicians are actually doing to the population and yet we still let it happen, they need to be charged with crimes against humanity, when will we take it all back?
Sad that through all this greed and disloyalty got in the way and ruined one of the greatest Canadian hip hop trios of all time. RIP Brooklyn. I believe if the most would have held it together he may still be with us
Residential schools really caused all of this unfortunate shit surrounding aboriginals in Canada. Kids were forced in to catholic-run boarding schools to “get rid of the savage in them.” Within a generation or two, many aboriginals were lost and had no idea how to take care of them self or how to take care of an entire family.
Kids need a place to go other then the streets, Winnipeg Police have a hard job keeping youth safe in the north end. Brooklyn (RIP)can say whatever he wants but the fact is there is some bad stuff in the north end and the kids are the ones that suffer. Congrats to WM for breaking out the north end needs change.
the problem with almost every trouble teen is they look to some goal or some people to pull them from darkness. no one, or no thing will save you from your negative troubled past, the only way to progress to change yourself and the things you do, regardless if that means you wont be the next sports star or rapper. you have to be positive even if you live a regular life, a mediocre life that entails happiness. accept yourself and respect everything, change your image and your values, TRUTH.
first shot out ta winnipegs most you guys r dope!! wish you would all be free of all these haters and the BS that stcks to it! really havent herd of ya till i waz in remand couple months ago all these guys claiming they know you guys you know winnipeg everybodys gotta fucking gossip like little girls.anyway brooklyn i also had all them things well minus the rap skill but i wanna ask you this we basically grew up the same deal as in did not have lots money tuff area and you were sombody or nobody

What's with all the disrespectful comments? Let's just celebrate the fact that Winnipeg has a successful hip hop act.
.so, Winnipeg is the new Compton?

Not even close! Murder rate of Winnipeg is not comparable to Compton. Fucking stupid useless entitled chugs.
