Thanks for the (instructive) treat, and your playing and ear is stunning. Also, what you point at the 6min mark, Yes you’re totally right, THAT’s what makes Jimi cool ! Very John Coltrane like I find : more than often choosing to avoid the obvious notes, boring or not adding any tension to the background root, but rather play (and even enhance !) the forbidden ones... the infamous « blue note » which launches the whole song into the musical stratosphere ! Great great video 👍

Emerson this is super accurate ... I found out Jimi's amps were modified . ! If I can I will get back to you on the specifics . His Fuzz Face pedals were hot rodded also . Perhaps this is why it's difficult to sound like him ... I'd love to hear Rod sing Foxy Lady , Manic Depression . Cool .
