But knowing that foreigners who actually live here have such positive things to say about this country makes me confident in my identity.

We must remain humble but we must not be embarrassed of ourselves. Coming from Europe all the way to India and only having Gothic architecture and Western classical music to like over 2 decades' time is akin to a Desi who lives in the West and finds only Swaminarayan temple and Bollywood dance worth experiencing in the West.
She said Bihar is her favourite place. The local museum. In Mumbai there is nothing "cultural" "cultural" except these old buildings in terms of architecture preserved. These are heritage buildings. Beautifully lit. Kailasa temple is in Aurangabad. Konark temple, Jagannatha temple is in Odisha. Several marvels are elsewhere. Do you remember of anything of surreal architecture & art in Mumbai? No. It's the safest place in India. That's it's only catchphrase tbh.

Delhi financial capital? 🤔 Who said that? Mumbai was, is and always will be financial capital of India, and not only that it is one of the financial capitals of the world. The lady knows my city really really well.
She is talking about Urad Dal I guess, which is mostly consumed by south Indians almost daily for breakfast, Urad Dal is a great brain food and makes it healthy.
