      Thanks. I’m in home improvement industry and so many contractors are just horrible at taking care of the customer. Do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. It’s not hard but so few actually do it

    Your 1/3, a 1/3, a 1/3 explanation of buyers is spot on. Was in the business for 36 years and had a 60+% close ratio over all the years. My advantage was I was an expert. I was able to show why my designs, product, and installation was the best solution for them to prove it. Once told a client she couldn’t buy from a competitor after she placed a whole house order with them because I knew she wouldn’t be happy. She gave me the opportunity to prove it. She then cancelled that order and did business with me.
    I was never a empathetic, best buddy salesperson. Instead I really listened to the client and focused on giving them the best solution to their needs, and was told that time after time.

      My favorite is, “We’re getting a quote from XYZ company in 2 weeks”. I’ll go over with them what to expect in that appt and how it will price out. Then I tell them, I’ll call and cancel the appt for you if you want and we can get rolling right now. I’m probably 50% on that one and at least half call me back after the appt and tell me it was just like I said, let’s get rolling

    Don't tell yourself that 60% closing is what's available, What a way to hinder the stretch - I averaged 80% over the 6 years I worked at CC and the average at the company was 62% - there's a big difference between an 80% closer and a 60% closer. Fight for more than 60%!

      Oh I don’t. I’m after 100% of the deals all the time. Sometimes as well there are jobs I don’t want and I’m glad to let those go
