No, you misunderstand people HATE the non-kishi boruto... which is majority of this series... The whole momoshiki arc & Shin arc were all kishi's work and obviously literally the best arcs.... I just made a realisation, despite the fact Sasuke and Jihraiya never met properly (to the best of my knowledge) They both follow the wandering ninja mentality. Both spending very little time at the leaf, both doing missions and/or protecting the leaf in their own way and both their students is an Uzumaki...quite an interesting tale ahead of Sasuke.

Honestly I started Boruto and I was a big Naruto fan with a negative view (like many other ppl) and I did took me around 20 episodes to actually get into it for real. I am at episode 73 and so far it has exceeded my expectations by far!

Kakashi vs Obito was great, but it was great because it had so much emotion to it. This fight is IMHO, the greatest right sequence in all of anime, because it had emotion with the throwbacks, its animation was ridiculous and just the sheer epicness of it.

People hate boruto just for the fact that they never wanted naruto to end, they always wanted him to be the lead. And that is just a misdirected disappointment mixed with sadness turned into hatred. You have a linear thought process, you think about every aspect of an anime series (writing, art work, character development etc) not everyone has that ability.
Be honest when naruto and sasuke are not on screen the show is so bad... U want reason... They spam jutsu without any cleared olan... Watch sasuke vs deidara and see a boruto fight without Naruto ro sasuke... spam gale palm then kage no bushin then bam I won... I WANT TO REQUEST A REWATCH! There’s sooooooo much in 165! They really wanted to take the viewers that were in this from the beginning through a journey once Sasuke and Naruto start giving momoshiki the business. The sword play with sasuke’s foot was a nod from when Sasuke did that with a kunai in the forest of death in the exam. Seeing how much Naruto has grown when he goes toe to toe in taijutsu with momoshiki instead of being reckless and trying to one shot him like old Naruto. Then the flash back to the shadow clone demon wind shuriken PLUS acknowledging how much they leveled up by adding a layer to it with a TRIPLE OKIE DOKE! That triple okie doke is by far the best part about this fight. Not only do we have to realize these two crafted a god level combination technique when they were kids and didn’t know it but momoshiki really thought he had them. First thought he wasn’t going to absorb the rasenshuriken, then thought he’d taken Sasuke, then gets that ass swapped and whooped! Also loved the passing of the torch. Showing everyone Naruto had lost and everyone’s hes loved and protected to let Boruto know without words that this power didn’t come overnight and that he had to lose soooo much and learn so much to get where he is. On top of that sequence narutos huge smile was a symbol of his true character. Even after revealing his loss,pain, and love through the rasengan he’s able to still smile big and keep pushing forward because that’s what strong ninja do. Truly an amazing episode. So much fan service.
I forgot how sick that episode was. Naruto is still unreal. All that with only using taijutsu and having his chakra drained was still too much to handle. Crazy

It's everything you think it is going forward. Great storytelling and complex issues centered around generational differences and the sins of the father. Such good stuff. I feel sorry for the ones that can't relate and or read the subtext of these stories.

Also, little known fact: In the early stages of Naruto, Kishimoto originally had it to that a rogue ninja would wear his forehead protector sideways instead of the cross-out. That's why we saw Zabuza wear his to the side, and the first flashbacks of Itachi had him wearing it on the side as well. Also, would a punch from Boruto really blow up a Naruto shadow clone? Didn't Naruto have clones fighting on all fronts of the war for days on end? Didn't one of his clones single handedly defeat the 3rd Raikage, hailed as the most powerful Raikage of all time?

Glad you enjoy it. I get why you do, that was never the hard part. But Naruto fans from way back just had a different vision of the whole series, not just Boruto as a character. He is a small piece of the picture. Some things are good concerning him in concept, some things just aren't my taste and some things are executed poorly. But to sum it up, it's not about Boruto as a character not being Naruto, it's that the series isn't Naruto. It lacks something. It's like anything, you have to know what fans like to know where to take the story so that it's catchy. Sure, the author can make a story that the author himself/herself appreciates, and you can want it to sell as a series but that's not enough. I compare Boruto and DB Super a lot because they both don't live up to fan's expectations, or what fan's perceive as it's true potential. An author needs to absorb this knowledge of what fans enjoyed about the original work, as well as what were flaws. Pride and artistic pride keep authors from caring about the fans want. Fans have great ideas but they lack the author's something and vice versa. I mess with Super because it doesn't lack the essence of Dragon Ball as much as Boruto lacks the essential dynamic patterns and catchy substance that Naruto had. It's tastes and opinion but I still feel this is why most don't mess with Boruto, even if they see its bright side. Fans just want what Is best, and for the story and all the elements of the series to be polished so that it leaves a legacy like it's predecessor. This goes for Super and for Boruto, for any series actually. Whether it be movies or tv series, they know what they liked and how to make it better. There will always be 20/20 hindsight. An author has a wall to overcome, whether it's a block or pride or just having a great predecessor series to surpass. But this is why you need fans, so you can absorb and adapt. But I'm glad there are people who dig this story and series. Some people don't see why you like it, or others like it. Some of us do see why. But as you admit, you can't understand why some of us don't dig it. Well you may but you just can't feel the same way. There will always be that barrier of tastes. Nostalgia is also lacking, but just know it's not nostalgia that holds some fans back from liking the series, at least not solely because of it. But these episodes were better than most so I checked this one reaction out.
Honestly, I think the main issue people have with the Boruto anime is that the movie came first which did the whole chunin exam and otsusuki arc then we had to wait for 60 episodes for them to adapt the movie. So imagine watching everything you've seen up till now knowing that whatever happens Borutos character cant change meaningfully till at least after the movie arc. Plus its also important to note the best aspects of the Boruto anime the Shin uchiha arc, the mitsuki origin, and the movie arc were adapted from shit the original author wrote. If you look at Boruto's anime-only arcs it becomes apparent that by contrast, the writing isn't up to snuff. Though I will say the manga is shaping up to be pretty interesting and I'll start watching the anime once they adapt it.
As for some of the hate Boruto the Series gets, I see it happen a lot to sequel properties. I think part of it (and by no means am I saying all criticism of this show isn't legitimate) is that people start to have their concept of what they want the sequel to be like. They have their own ships, and head canons, and what-ifs scripted out before the show even comes out - and every time the show falls short of what they personally wanted the show to do it gets dinged for it. And that just isn't a healthy way to approach new media.

The sword play with sasuke’s foot was a nod from when Sasuke did that with a kunai in the forest of death in the exam. Seeing how much Naruto has grown when he goes toe to toe in taijutsu with momoshiki instead of being reckless and trying to one shot him like old Naruto. Then the flash back to the shadow clone demon wind shuriken PLUS acknowledging how much they leveled up by adding a layer to it with a TRIPLE OKIE DOKE!
That triple okie doke is by far the best part about this fight. Not only do we have to realize these two crafted a god level combination technique when they were kids and didn’t know it but momoshiki really thought he had them. First thought he wasn’t going to absorb the rasenshuriken, then thought he’d taken Sasuke, then gets that ass swapped and whooped!
Also loved the passing of the torch. Showing everyone Naruto had lost and everyone’s hes loved and protected to let Boruto know without words that this power didn’t come overnight and that he had to lose soooo much and learn so much to get where he is. On top of that sequence narutos huge smile was a symbol of his true character. Even after revealing his loss,pain, and love through the rasengan he’s able to still smile big and keep pushing forward because that’s what strong ninja do.
Truly an amazing episode. So much fan service.

I'm a huge fan of this series and I'm someone who encourages watching it all and not skipping anything. With that said if you skipped these next 3 episodes it wouldn't hurt anything, only episodes that I truly didn't like in this series thus far.

Glad you enjoy it. I get why you do, that was never the hard part. But Naruto fans from way back just had a different vision of the whole series, not just Boruto as a character. He is a small piece of the picture. Some things are good concerning him in concept, some things just aren't my taste and some things are executed poorly. But to sum it up, it's not about Boruto as a character not being Naruto, it's that the series isn't Naruto. It lacks something. It's like anything, you have to know what fans like to know where to take the story so that it's catchy. Sure, the author can make a story that the author himself/herself appreciates, and you can want it to sell as a series but that's not enough. I compare Boruto and DB Super a lot because they both don't live up to fan's expectations, or what fan's perceive as it's true potential. An author needs to absorb this knowledge of what fans enjoyed about the original work, as well as what were flaws. Pride and artistic pride keep authors from caring about the fans want. Fans have great ideas but they lack the author's something and vice versa. I mess with Super because it doesn't lack the essence of Dragon Ball as much as Boruto lacks the essential dynamic patterns and catchy substance that Naruto had. It's tastes and opinion but I still feel this is why most don't mess with Boruto, even if they see its bright side. Fans just want what Is best, and for the story and all the elements of the series to be polished so that it leaves a legacy like it's predecessor. This goes for Super and for Boruto, for any series actually. Whether it be movies or tv series, they know what they liked and how to make it better. There will always be 20/20 hindsight. An author has a wall to overcome, whether it's a block or pride or just having a great predecessor series to surpass. But this is why you need fans, so you can absorb and adapt. But I'm glad there are people who dig this story and series. Some people don't see why you like it, or others like it. Some of us do see why. But as you admit, you can't understand why some of us don't dig it. Well you may but you just can't feel the same way. There will always be that barrier of tastes. Nostalgia is also lacking, but just know it's not nostalgia that holds some fans back from liking the series, at least not solely because of it. But these episodes were better than most so I checked this one reaction out.

Honestly, I think the main issue people have with the Boruto anime is that the movie came first which did the whole chunin exam and otsusuki arc then we had to wait for 60 episodes for them to adapt the movie. So imagine watching everything you've seen up till now knowing that whatever happens Borutos character cant change meaningfully till at least after the movie arc. Plus its also important to note the best aspects of the Boruto anime the Shin uchiha arc, the mitsuki origin, and the movie arc were adapted from shit the original author wrote. If you look at Boruto's anime-only arcs it becomes apparent that by contrast, the writing isn't up to snuff. Though I will say the manga is shaping up to be pretty interesting and I'll start watching the anime once they adapt it.

As for some of the hate Boruto the Series gets, I see it happen a lot to sequel properties. I think part of it (and by no means am I saying all criticism of this show isn't legitimate) is that people start to have their concept of what they want the sequel to be like. They have their own ships, and head canons, and what-ifs scripted out before the show even comes out - and every time the show falls short of what they personally wanted the show to do it gets dinged for it. And that just isn't a healthy way to approach new media.
