I bought the 2nd version on discount and it was a pleasant surprise. The upper was top notch and the shoe was perfect for track intervals. I do like a firmer shoe for running fast.
I ran about 60 miles on the Velociti 2 and I felt that it was too hard for me. Considering it is UA’s best running shoe is sad. I won’t be trying the 3 unless they can make it softer
UA is pretty meh when it comes to running in all honesty. I mean this shoe and their shoes in general are nothing better than reeboks Floatride but probably a lot more expensive. Then you got Puma and Adidas stepping up their game a lot these last 2 years and Saucony & Nike have been pretty strong even longer. Let's not forget Asics either... All these brands are in general far more superior than others and UA. Mizuno at least created a somewhat interesting racer. I mean UA don't even have a niche like Altra or anything or even some other brands when it comes to trail shoes like Salomon and Merrell etc. No, they need to step up their game a whole lot.
