People don't give this song the credit it is due. Everything is spot on. The production is amazing, the heavy piano and the electric guitar in the back half of the song changes the whole feel. And then the lyrics, I'm sure most of us can relate to the song one way or another.

This is probably the best song he's done in my opinion. It's kind of a hidden gem because it wasn't on the original mix tapes but I've never gotten tired of it... Perfectly sound and balanced...

I loved “take my breath”, however i also miss the old dark music he used to make in the past. Plus, Abel is in a very happy state now, I don’t think he’s going back to making music like that anymore. That’s sad for us, the og fans, but good for him, of course.

Abel honestly embodies what love is actually meant to be. Its not supposed to be great all the time. He shows the dark side of love, kind of like the dark side of the force in Star Wars. He shows just how entoxicating love can be how withdrawal from that feeling can be damaging. He sings about truth, not hopes. All these other artists just sing about this girl or guy they want to love, but Abel shows the truth of those feelings and the journey those feelings take once "love" is involved. He isn't singing about bad love he is singing about dark love. there is a difference between bad and dark. Dark can't exist without light, and thats what all these other artists fail to realize. Abel is the ignored part of love. The part that no one wants to talk about. The dark side of love is much more seductive than the light part. thats why i think people are drawn to his music. he shows us truth not hopes
