  • We were invited to fish a remote river that has been untouched for over a hundred years. Located in Tasmania this picturesque river is filled with thousands of wild Brown Trout, so needless to say this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
It was such a great experience walking the banks of a remote river flicking lures for Trout that have most likely never seen one. This was honestly two days of Trout fishing I will never forget.
We also smoke a few trout up for lunch and let me tell you, there is nothing better than a good old catch and cook. Trout fishing Tasmania is such beautiful experience.
    Tight Lines,
    Mark Berg

Can honestly say fishing saved my life after I lost my first born and it sometimes not even about fishing, it got me put in a place that is good for your soul, coming face to face with deer and seeing trout chasing the soft plastic in shallow water along with snakes echidna kangaroos, black kockatoos etc it brought me back from a dark place and when I get down I always take the rod for a walk fish or not it is a must in my life.

    Outstanding
This would be one of the best fishing videos I’ve watched this year.
Just a real privilege watching graceful trout fishing in Tassie.
The rustic Tassie country side and just two mates doing what they love doing.

Beautiful fish Uncle bergy. Can't wait to t up for a bass flick 🙏 how beautiful are trout especially browns. Browns are like a mini version of a freshwater black Marlin when you get a real one. Tail walk and dogfight just like a black Marlin does.

Nice to see some brown trout, I used to live in tassie, now Terranora. We used to go with my dad, my brother got his first & it weighed 12lb. On a fish cake at night. Miss those days.

The one out of the dam is 100% a 5-5.5lb fish, great fish all the same.

You could at least tell people it's the Shannon River so they could go and have a crack themselves. And the fairytale about it hardly having been fished in 150 years....😂 you guys are funny....

A hundred years and no fishing - sheep farms nearby which means someone has fished it in the last few days

If you said that to my 7 year old while his was learning to use a spin rod, you’d better know how to swim!
