The 2009 vikings was the most well rounded vikings team in my opinion. It's my personal favorite season the vikings ever had. They just got completely robbed in overtime during the NFCCG due to worst officiating/most bias officiating ever. Love these games man thx for the upload.
Not only that, but that was the year of the saints involved in “bountygate”. Saints getting paid extra for hits on key opponents, injuring them or removing them from the game. I remember seeing playbacks on favre being driven into the turf during sacks, which deserves a penalty and is an illegal hit. Pics of favre on the internet in the locker room and was black and blue from his shoulders to his calves. Sean Payton and the coordinators involved should’ve been banned from the NFL forever because of it.
Watching back these highlight films from this magical season brings back awesome memories and reminds me of four things: 1.) Our defensive line was something to be feared. Unbelievable pass rush. 2.) Brett Favre played with such tenacity & toughness. Making downfield blocks, getting back up and playing through injury... Unbelievable 3.) Peterson was a stud. Too bad he was prone to putting the ball on the turf during clutch moments though. :( 4.) Our offensive line was subpar, but Favre was an artist at making the most of it.
That was SUCH A FUN SEASON! until the painful NFC championship game. Funky D, love these videos!!!! Especially the ones from my younger days as a fan in the mid 80s-thru early 90s. Nostalgic!
Weird that it was one of Adrian Peterson's worst seasons, after a hot start he went the last 10 games without a 100 yard game while averaging 3 yards per carry. He had his best season with Christian Ponder?
@@ckobo84 wow! When i read your comment, i didn't believe it. But that is true!! We had ALOT of offensive weapons that season with Percy, Sidney, i think Berrian was still on that team? When we had Ponder.....AP carried us to the playoffa
Adrian Peterson was fun to watch. He was one of those RBs that would just wear u down and start breaking runs as the game wore on and the defense grew fatigued.
Matt Stafford scares no one. Like when the Vikes played against Calvin Johnson, never thought he would break a game open for the Lions like Sanders could.
I really had no idea how special this team was going to be until the first Packers game. Favre was just managing the game until the end of that 49ers game. That finish seemed to spark the team.
I hated the man on principle for years, but now that I'm an old man (38), I came to the realization that I just love this sport. I'll always be a Vikings fan... Don't cry for me... But now I just appreciate, and respect talented players regardless of which team they're on.
My god, what an incredible team that was. Would've won the Super Bowl had it not been for those cheatin' bastards. And yet the Saints have the audacity to complain about pass interference calls every time they lose. It's called karma. Hope their curse continues
I can't believe how superstitious sports fans are. And this loosely defined Karma is dispensed by whom? Or what?... Regardless, why would all those Saints players and coaches who had nothing to do with the 2009 team reap the consequences of other people's actions?
2009 was a good year for the Vikes, they got robbed in the NFC championshio game. Very bad officiating. That was the "bountygate" year for the Saints and they should been stripped of their Lombardi trophy.
is that al micheals as play by play!?....dude was clearly off/drunk that night, & his co-host had to take over. al, calling players on wrong teams, teams scoring, ect....dude, was either drunk or having a stroke. it's just crazy
The Lions used to be so damn annoying back then man when they would literally have good things going to make you think like “damn these boys might do something this week” but then it would all just end up going so bad.

On top of all that, there was the crazy number of fumbles. The Vikings would have won easily if they just protected the football...
Sadly protecting the QB didn't matter until Brady and Rodgers got injured.

I missed this NFL. Good Lord. A QB throwing blocks and an RB unafraid to lower the pads.
Wow, great game for Chad Greenway. 2 picks, a fumble recovery and a Lions onside kick recovery.
3:16 “touchdown Vikings” 😂wrong team bud
SlimThug vikes woulda beat the Saints so easy . But they had the worst turnovers in nfl history
Should've won the super bowl that year
@Kevdawg Sutton III% Pro Gun-Rights Activist exactly
Fr. Coming back to these older i truly realized how stacked we were. Favre ran that team
We got cheated.
Oh my I love that you added that Chad Johnson part
He's number one by Packers fans
It took us 24 minutes and 29 seconds before we finally realized that we were playing the Lions.
Nice 😎
I been watching your channel for years Imma die hard Vikings fan since 97 upload more vids please skol👌🏾

3:13 touchdown Vikings!
Polish Kid06 😂😂
The fumbles by Peterson haunted the team all season, especially in the NFCCG.
3:37 “GOD DAMMIT”
The run at the 5 minute mark by Adrian Peterson is absolutely mind blowing!
Matt Stafford scares no one. Like when the Vikes played against Calvin Johnson, never thought he would break a game open for the Lions like Sanders could.
This dude deserves more subs tbh
I didn't see Favre firing on three cylinders, much less all cylinders! Good team win - not so good title! 😀
Good ol Favre. So fun to watch.
8:47 Ernie Sims can be heard and seen in pain. Busted shoulder.
I really had no idea how special this team was going to be until the first Packers game. Favre was just managing the game until the end of that 49ers game. That finish seemed to spark the team.
4:58 GOD DAMN ADRIAN, that collision
idk how that dude got up after that.. 😯

The "God Dammit" at 3:33 lol
Favre was amazing. I hated him for 15 years. Then he played for my team, and did this stuff.
thanks so much for the video, back when real men played
3:15 *Detroit scores touchdown*
"Touchdown Vikings!"
😂
Love how Favre throws the ball like a baseball fast ball
Ah Adrian Peterson. the GOAT at fumbling. Cost the Vikings several huge games and IMO a super bowl.
This Vikings squad should have won it all soooooo good!
3:34 “GOD DAMMIT” 😂
Loved the game break showing Garbage Bay Fackers getting scored on by Ochocinco.👍👍 Real touch of purple pride💪🏽💜💜💜SKOL!!!!!

That hit at @5:06 my god Adrian 😬😬😬
That may have been Adrian Petersons worst fumble of his career and that saying a lot because he’s had a fuck ton of bad fumbles.
I'm pretty sure a God damn it was said after Peterson was pushed out of bounds
No Body
oh it definitely was. I watched this game with a bunch of guys, we heard it and we just all laughed. That was the turning point in the game.

More like "Petersen" on all cylinders!
These titles are deceiving.. Firing on all cylinders.. okay..
Love your Videos but Favre was far from firing on all cylinders. Unless you meant firing on all cylinders with all those handoffs to AP lol.
*THIS IS NOT DETROIT!*
3:15, years later and the announcer is still cringing. Lmao
No views no likes no comments means im first
