Good review ! The safety in the thrust is really a good feature. I've found that I feel safer about my training partners to thrust a lot more, so I ended getting better in this aspect of my fencing.
The flick is not that much of a problem if you pay attention to your edge alignment, and if you are honest with yourself.
The overall quality of the steel and finish is really good.
At this moment, I think it's the best standard feder to get.
Don't forget that it's customizable (blade length, crossguard length, schilt shape, pommel shape, handle material and color.

Great video! I’m very excited for my sigi lichty that’s being made (shorter version of yours essentially)

Great review, I've heard from several fencers that the "Shorty" length handles a bit better. Have you had a chance to use one of those?

    Thank you for this review.
im quite new to hema and want to buy soon my first feder.
should i purchase the sigi concept or the Ensifer corona?

Both are good swords with different characteristics, the Corona feels more “Sword” in your hand, but is slightly lesser flexible and hits slightly harder.
The SIGI is safer but in some actions I feel it perform slightly lesser than the Corona.
As a training tool to improve basic skills both can help you pretty well, in a sense a SIGI may be slightly better for a beginner because of its safety, while the Corona is good while developing more skills in terms of control.

Hi, great video you have made
if not going to trouble you, may i know, what is your opinion in term of durability for sigi?
maybe after a few month/year of bending due to thrusting the feder from intense training
    thank you

I would say that, to me, it looks as durable as any other feder, and chance is that will be even more durable than the average looking at the actual state of my blade

Greetings from the other side of the Mediterranean, Federico!🇪🇦
Your videos have inspired me to do HEMA. Now I'm training on my own with a broom stick until I'll forge my own federschwert.
What do you think is the best overall length, blade lenght and handle for a longsword? I do the research and asked fencers and I think the overall length may it be between 130 and 125 cm long.
    Thank you!🙏🏻

Hi Aitor, well this is quite an ambitious goal! I wish you good work then.
Well, there are many swords with different dimensions. Talking about findings most of the longswords are between 112 and 125 cms more or less. Then there are longer and shorter ones. The ratio blade handle also varies a lot. Talking about modern feders the measure used are between 125 and 140 cms. with the most used being 130 to 135.
So my advice is to find some finding measurements through books (like the Oakeshott ones, or some museum catalogues) for the findings, or check the measures done by other productors on their websites (such as SIGI, Ensifer or Regenyei) for modern one.

I really dont like the flicking. But i have noticed that you have to focus more one edge alignment and teknuiqe or the enemies blow will come trough, so thats a possitive and a negative. I havent fought sigi agains sigi though. That might change alot

Did you try feders from Caino swords? Their feders seems have similar flex but hardly find any review.

I tried them a couple of times in sparring, but I still don't own one. I consider them good training tools.

I wonder about that schilt does the opponents blade fly around when the blades slide against eachother

With those flicks or not good hits we say "no quality" when judging putting it in the same box as getting hit with the flat of the blade.
I just got my fifth sigi a maestro with rings. Never practiced with rings so that will be fun.
