When my wife asks, “Why do you watch people play this video game?” I ask her why millions of people watched Bob Ross paint on a canvas for hours. This is the modern-day version of watching The Joy of Painting.

I recently saw an old interview with Will Wright about the very first Sim City where he says (paraphrased) "and some players could choose not to engage with the city simulation at all and instead treat the game as a digital canvas". It's really nice that we have finally reached that stage in city builders where you can truly make art with them.

Living a few kilometers away from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, it's still hard to believe someone managed to reproduce this place I'm so used to see with such level of attention ! The idea of putting an Alsace inspired place might sound odd at first but thanks to execution I think the 2 styles really complement eachother, giving the district an exotic look. This town is mostly famous for its "faïence" (eartherware?) industry and being placed between the lavender fields of the Valensole plateau and the Sainte-Croix lake + Gorges du Verdon, making it a convenient place to stay for tourists in the region.
Another thing that makes this town kind of unique is the golden star attached between the 2 cliffs with a chain which, according to the legend, was placed there by a knight coming back from the crusades. If you plan to continue working on this town, I think it woud be a neat addtion :)

What a stunning job by you! It makes me wander around that town right now instead of being in a grey february city in Germany. Respect for the amount of detailling what probably has taken ages. When it comes to functionality of PO buildings. What i do in my cities is, i RICOed some small 1x1 vanilla buildings to for example a 3-household and then i move them into the PO and change their access points closer to the street or the doors of the PO buildings

Even the top of houses are differents, because of the inclinaison (its rains and snow in the North, not the south) and texture used is aslo different

That mix of style of building is not something that would be done because of availability of raw materials. It had been done in south west of france because forests were more accessible. Not the bright paint tough. ^^
In cities skylines? It's fine. You try to integrate the best you can and the best the game let you integrate.
Verdict: It's a very beautiful tourist town. Nice job!
