- On the back of my recent leaderboard triumph I decided to try my hand at some Diverse World country streaks. Partly because I was pretty sure that during the hours of recent leaderboard attempts, I had inadvertently broken my country streak record. Too impatient to sift through all the footage, and with form at an all time high, I thought I'd have a proper go. Here's the result from my first couple of half an hour sessions.

Seeing the truck and being estonian myself, I was like "Oh that's my country" then he looks around and I'm like "wait, what?"

Hey Tom, just a quick tip. In your final round in Peru, the signs being held up with black and white poles as is seen in that round is usually a good giveaway that it's Peru when you're in South America. Great video!
That's what I thought, though I wasn't sure if they were unique to Peru

love the video. The funny part (for us living in Belgium) was that you quickly saw some Dutch words but decided to pick Liège in the French speaking part of Belgium.

Me: yeah yeah obviously.
I recognized it instantly but that's because I'm from New Zealand so it's easy to tell. As Tom said the white road markers with the red bits on them are a dead giveaway. Along with the yellow road signs with black borders and writing, and the road lines with white cat eyes down the centerline. The trees are good indicators as well if you're familiar with our countryside.

My guy is in a cody ko video wtf ive been watching for like 6 month's and the shock when cody ko just starts talking about your channel
Would love to see you do a Geoguessr tutorial; like, how does one know it's this country over that (if not already done)
i've been playing lots of daily challenges and battle royales just to get myself used to it. i think the only way is to fight and guess through it when I'm not sure.
but two tips are, DEFINITELY look for the climate and the weather. it's the most significant. hopefully, if you're into geography, you can tell the difference between denmark and kenya.
second one is look for language. it's hard when you're in south America or countries like croatia serbia bosnia etc, but there are some unique differences between each, i learned in around 20 rounds of gameplay.
Just knowledge really - knowing the rocks, the skies, the languages, the geology, the colours etc
I recommend checking out GeoPeterYT's youtube channel, he explains things very well and has some great tutorials, also a website called geotips.net
Geotips.net has a massive amount of information about road lines, language, poles, bollards, climate, general look, etc. for almost every country in the game. Definitely a recommended resource.

I think this format is my favorite. Incidentally, I guessed Greece before you did on that one in the first round. Though I'm not Greek, I have tons of Greek friends and have been to the country a bunch of times. In fact, I think I've been to that exact island.
