    i appreciate the transparency of your thoughts as is's not always that sourcing agents share the difficulties and challenging in sourcing goods overseas.

      Thank you. Indeed, people have a lot of misconception and assumptions about Vietnam manufacturing. This is the reason we talk about some of the biggest myths.

    I actually attended to one of the trade show in Vietnam in March and i realize how hard it is to build relationship with some suppliers.

    • @MoveToAsia

      True. If you are used to sourcing in China, dealing with Vietnam manufacturers may be more difficult due to the language barriers.

    Thank you for highlighting Vietnam myths, I was actually thinking that there are databases of suppliers to find factories online.

    • @MoveToAsia

      You can find some databases, listing or directly use marketplace for market research purpose. Check out our video comparing Alibaba vs Global Sources th-cam.com/video/fM5t6qNQa5g/w-d-xo.html

    I love this topic. what about the risk of working with factories that are more family-owned business ?

    • @MoveToAsia

      Hi,
      - Pros of working with family-owned / SMEs : you can easily become a big customer for them so you can negotiate better than with a big factory.
      - Cons : If you put all your eggs in a same basket then you need extra due diligence, QC and inspection as they may not have in-house the same level of checks as more established factories.

    Learn about the rising demand for Vietnamese textiles, footwear, handicrafts, furniture, and kitchenware. With significant growth projections in these industries, Vietnam presents numerous opportunities for sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices.

    This is the first time that I hear about the buying office term , I thought you usually buy from the supplier.

    • @MoveToAsia

      Yes 'buying office' mean that we are buying on the behalf of our foreign clients, ensuring the sourcing, due diligence, product development, warehousing and logistics until the goods will finally be shipped overseas. This is suitable if you intend to purchase from many suppliers but if you are only working with one factory, then they should be able to handle the required paperwork for exports.

    I heard that IA allows now to find factories though Google Map. Is it also working in Vietnam?

    • @MoveToAsia

      Yes you can use IA to provide you some factory names. I think the algorithm is also using Google datas (so Google Map / Google Search) to filter and provide with recommendations.

    If a factory doesn't deliver the product as I expect, do I have legal way to have them working on my production? Thanks in advance

    • @MoveToAsia

      This problem shouldn't actually happen if you monitor your production entirely and if you already validated a mock-up that both you and the factory agreed. Still final inspection are required and I do recommend to use a third party at this last step to ensure the entire specs are fully matched.
