Another good list. I'm with you on the babadook and the conjuring both overrated. The changeling is a personal favorite so was glad to see it on here. Legend of Hell House is another horror/mystery that if u haven't seen you need to. I'm glad you mentioned ted Levine he does deserve as much credit as hopkins for Silence of the lambs. Only 1 movie I was completely different then ur take and it's The Village. Maybe because I had an idea of what was going on just 15 mins into movie and that ruined it. Never heard a comment about the others kinda ripping off sixth sense but it does sort of. Also its ok to say Get out is overrated. It is. Happy to see The Wailing. Good list as always.
If you've never seen it you should see The Invisible Guest. Its a Spanish movie. Other honorable mentions of recent are Barbarian and The Guest (not so much horror but in the realm of the invitation)
YES! also must watch Boy Missing, Shrew’s Nest, The Hidden Face, Julia’s Eyes, The Body, The Paramedic, Mirage. I don’t speak a lick of Spanish but discovered Spanish thrillers/horror during the lockdown, now I’m obsessed. They do make these movies like no one else on the planet. 🍿🔪❤️
What's your take on Shepherd? This one is an interesting one for me as it somehow gets under my skin and I'm not sure why. The character of the boat captain (Kate Dickie from The Witch) plays that creepy person she seems to be known for.
Babadook is good, but for sure overrated. Monster was a non threatening entity. Should’ve had it at least scratch somebody for an element of danger. Nope it just calls you on the phone and goes “uuuhhhhhhhh” lol
Thank you for appreciating "The Village" love that movie!
👍
Good to see Stay mentioned.
Jacob's Ladder, man what a movie. Nothing else really like it
Ain’t that the truth.
