Hey guys, thaks for showing the real time application of this product. I may try this on a 2011 vehicle with very hazy headlights. You may already know this but…if you tape off around the headlight you wont need to worry about the product getting on the car paint or accidentally rubbing the paint.
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching. Also, the beauty of this product is since it is meant as a compound for paint…you don’t have to worry about it damaging your paint if you have splatter. Thank you for watching and commenting! I hope you get similar if not better results!
@@andrewphilshow I actually tried it yesterday…worked suprisingly well. I mayb invest in a small polishing pad to fit on my drill and give it a bit more polish.
@@andrewphilshow I watched a video recently from The Headlight Restoration Pro from Feb 20-2024, Meguiar's PLASTIC X headlight restoration - New & Improved seems to great for fixing headlights too. I am going to get a new bottle and try it also.
@@JettBlast I saw Meguiars released a new Plastx, we will have to give that a try as well! Please let us know your experience with that product! Thank you for watching and commenting!
How was the Meguiar’s headlight coating? I didn’t see the one year after video. After using this compound, do you spray the headlight coating afterwards?
Yep, after using the compound you spray the Keep Clear Headlight coating on afterwards. Here’s the 1 year later video. Thank you for watching and commenting! I was going to do that. sanding it and I bought the Meguiar's, the two of them, the compound and the polish. I'll try with just Compound and the polish, to see.
Of course it will look decent as soon as you finish rubbing because it's acting as a filler. Once the product is washed off the surface or you use iso alcohol to wipe it clean, some dullness will return.
Not to bash on anyone, but this is a waste of time and product. The clear coat is not UV resistant anymore and it will fail even faster every time you "polish" it. You're just removing part of the oxidation, if you want a quality fix you need to remove the clear coat and damaged polycarbonate via sanding, then polishing and ceramic coating or PPFing (some use clear coat aswell, but we're not a big fan of it).

Is compound cutting more than plast x ?
It almost seemed that the compound removed more haze than the Plastx.
Haha "Let's try it over here". What a way to get your buddy to do all the work.
Work smart not hard, right?

Any rubbing compound would work too.

They make a Plastx that’s for headlights? Where do you find it at?

Thank you for your input and thank you for watching! We are looking to see if there are any alternatives to sanding.
honestly, I thought it was going to be better.
