RIP Liam. I’m an Amazon delivery driver and once my shift ends I always play Night Changes on the way back to my station to ease the night after a hard days work. I was devastated when I heard the news. We will miss you, and we love you, bro.

I felt like this video spoke more about him than all the other media outlets’ reports on his tragic death, why and how it happened, etc. with strangers speculating on all the aspects of his passing which will probably never be fully known. It’s heartbreaking how you can see the light going out of his eyes as the years go on in these sequential clips. Prayers for his soul, condolences and love for his family and loved ones.
You were truly a nice guy. So polite and always willing to make comments for the journalists. You were just too nice for this world, really. Rest in peace, Liam.

I was shocked when I saw the news this morning. I didn't expect it at all. As a former 1D fan, this news shook me but Liam's recent mood was not good. He should have had someone to hold his hand. rest in peace.

This really has been going on since years and the industry is a massive cause of this. ALL of the 1D members have spoken about the abuse they were subjected to during their 1D time and even their 1D managers went to theraphy because of the things they were forced to do to them. Liam had been subjected to a hate campaign since at least 2013 and in the past year it really went to a whole new level. People from outside of the fandom started hating on him because it was "trendy" and even bullied him daily, literally telling him to end himself, that the 1D boys never liked him and that they were never friends,... It was RELENTLESS! It was so bad that he even had to delete his beautiful post about attending Louis' AOTV screening after about an hour because the comment section was full of vile, nasty comments... The industry needs to change - for everyone!
Have you heard about the Liam's Law petition (LiamsLaw_ is the official Twitter account for updates and has a link to the petition)? We finally need safeguards in the music industry to protect artists' mental health. Directioners have been advocating for it since the early 1D days and Liam since 2021.
The petition has more than 97.000 signatures now, gained media coverage and the attention of a law maker who's willing to support it and I got the band STONE (that Louis introduced us to) to sign it, so there's a good chance that changes will finally be made but we still need more signatures to put more pressure on law makers and the industry.
If you haven't signed the petition already - please do, tell everyone you know about it and get them to sign it and spread awareness of it. The music industry has to change and right now is our chance to get safeguards for ALL artists' and future artists' mental health into place. Let's finish the job for Liam! ❤

I feel numb. I’ve been following them since I was 7-8 years old and now I’m 21. They were a part of my life that I will never forget. What makes you beautiful was on of the first song I downloaded in my mp3. I still have a lot of magazines and posters from back in the day that I will treasure forever as well of the memories. I wasn't a fan of them, I was 2 years, when they were formed, 3 years when they debuted, so I was very young, I have heard of them, I was in shock when I read the news, so yeah, I wish all the directioners strength with processing the loss!

The industry needs to change - for everyone!

Liam once said that not getting through X Factor the first time was devastating. He was just a boy at 14 years. The Industry challenges as we have seen are so much harder at 14, 16 and even as a young adult. Liam has been vocal about his own mental health challenges and stardom at such as young age, have the power and the money to live the life of a rock star where sadly, life experience and the maturing of the brain happen later in life. RIP Mr Liam Payne, we hope you are resting your poor soul from all the years sadness, remember the soul is always evolving and I hope your’s will too ❤😘
It honestly feels like some weird nightmare. He always seemed to be the type you’d always expect to be around, at least for many many years to come, like the nsync members or backstreet boys i pictured him growing into middle age and settling into fatherhood. It’s bizarre and horrible to realise that will never happen, it’s so so sad

I’ve been thinking of all the middle school memories, the joy and elated smiles brightening my friend’s faces every time they’d say they were a Liam girl. 😢 It’s been nearly six years since we graduated and ventured our separate ways. Thinking of them now.

For me what hurts is leaving behind the son. I lost my young mum last year due to a rare condition and my whole life has been really dull and painful so I believe losing a parent is a nightmare 😢. I wish he thought about the boy😢
