I've noticed SMG4 videos usually fall into one of three categories: - parodying a game/movie/TV show - insane lowbrow comedy that has a heavy emphasis on slapstick, memes, and stupid behavior - surreal horror With the occasional heartfelt episode tossed in for good measure.
These 64 creepy pastas always mindboggle me. This was such a creative use of the "every sm64 copy is personalized" thing. Also, can I just say how funny the Mario, SMG4 and SMG3 trio is?
I'm sure someone else has said this before, but it is hard to believe how much SMG3 has matured, going from being a villain to being allies with his rival.
Never ceases to impress me how SMG4 can have hilarious slapstick for one moment, and genuinely unnerving and disturbing violence the next. Seriously, “Luigi” slamming Mario at 2:20 legitimately made me recoil and kinda freaked me out, I love it.

I never thought seeing Luigi having more major role once again in this episode. At least he still have much attention in more SMG4 Videos ❤. But for 8 weeks in fact haven’t shown the fate of Peach in the sunken Castle. As well SMG4’s Universe is literally a proof every SM64 were personalized. A good example when the episode referencing one of Nintendo’s famous myths.

It makes me happy that SMG3 is becoming more heroic and is FINALLY PART of the main cast. Meggy and SMG3 will always be my favorites. I love how Meggy isn't an ass to Mario anymore eithers. I don't comment often here which is why this comment might seem out of place. Still, means a lot to me. Good job editiors and storywriters!
This was a VERY good episode! Humor, action, suspense, and oooh, very scary! And of course, very entertaining! The animation quality alone has come SO far over the years, it’s amazing! Also nice to see how SMG3 is a regular part of the crew now, him with SMG4 and Mario make a perfect trio 🙌🏻❤️

That was absolutely brilliant and genuinely cool! It featured some modern creepypastas of Mario in a fascinating way that worked for the SMG4 universe, while being scary and silly at the same time! We've returned into an episode of horror and liminal spaces once more in this one! Even though the characters are labeled as "Mario.exe" and "Luigi.exe", I thought it was interesting how much they paralleled MX/Mario '85 (the "Mario.exe" character is literally MX's 3D model) and Too Late.exe ("Luigi.exe" is mirroring the creepy smile that "Too Late Luigi" has when he's disguised as Luigi). They even snuck in an FNF reference which also coincides with the fact that both characters have (or are going to have) FNF inclusions that show their true horror and power! Even an epic use of Sonic Mania music for the boss fight was pretty smart! Nice use of everything else as well! I feel like these could be "accurate" translations of creepypasta characters in the SMG4 world! The "jar" joke was an absolutely terrifying refernce that a creepypasta in a "meme-y" world would use to terrify or hurt the cast! XD
