    What length barrel was in that ESS chassis with 18” foreend? I’m looking to do a build. And debated on 22” or 24”. Thanks.

    What size is the forend on the ess? 15”? Also how long is the barrel you used?

    I'm not much of a long range/precision shooting person either, but I had no idea there was a 6mm Creedmoor caliber. I just thought there was the 6.5 Creedmoor and you slipped up lol, but then I Googled it. Sorry I ever doubted you, Jon.
    Can't wait to see how these rifles shoot! Good looking chassis there.

    Those chassis look awesome. I think you will really like those Howa barreled actions. I have had great luck with the 2 rifle's I have built around Howa barreled actions in 6.5x55 Swede.

    I looked at the MDT chassis for my Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor. Great looking stuff but a tad out of my priceline. I am waiting for Indian Creek Designs to come out with their Modular Forend (MoFo) chassis that takes standard AR handguards.

    • @kylevanruitenburg8634
      @kylevanruitenburg8634 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MDT makes an LSS Chassis that is the same price as the ICD Chassis. Check it out here > mdttac.com/products/lss-chassis-system

    • @Kesrick
      @Kesrick 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, but the ICD chassis in their standard length covers more of the barrel length (similar to the LSS XL). And with the upcoming AR module, I can put on any length handguard I want and have MLOK all around the barrel like the ESS. Not knocking the MDT, just saying the ICD meets my needs better.

  • @OC_Lofton

    I have the Brownells BRN-1 made by MDT for Brownells. It's essentially an MDT LSS-XL Gen1 with the exception that it's designed to "readily" accept carbine X-Position tubes and stocks that fit on carbine tubes. The BRN-1 needs a $50 MDT fixed stock adapter to work with fixed stocks. One cannot properly grip the pistol grip and fixed stocks have a tendency to rotate if the fixed stock adapter is not used. Brownells doesn't inform potential buyers of that on its website. Other than that, it's an excellent affordable chassis by MDT. The improved MDT LSS-XL Gen2 will likely be the next chassis I purchase.

  • @TonyStark-pi3vc
    @TonyStark-pi3vc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been considering the LSS XL gen 2 because of the price difference in contrast with the ESS chassis. Do you know if the LSS comes with the "skeleton stock" or is that at additional cost? If it comes with it I see no reason to buy ESS model for twice the price.

  • @FCoxUSMC

    I just got the LSS gen1. Going to put a Savage Axis in it. I intend to change the barrel and trigger. Timney adjustable trigger 1.4-5Lbs. And a 25" barrel 1/12 right-hand twist .
