- Riding my horse, singing in the studio and a few veggie surprises! A day in my life at home during covid and this time I bring you along! On top of this I talk about Marko leaving @nightwish, the virtual shows and how the last year has been for me. I think everyone (fans included) struggle with Marco's exit but I am so glad that Nightwish continues as a band. I am sure, everyone will adapt and I can't wait to see you all live again soon! Great storytime!

We have a Wolfhound cross...they tend to be very gentle giants and their coats are soft, but shed a lot of hair !!

In the virtual concert, when I heard the first notes of "Planet Hell", I instantly jumped out of my chair. It was an emotional moment for me to listen to you singing this song on your own
At first I haven't recognized Planet Hell since it wasn't even an option in my mind. That was quite a shock.

In Virtual concert I was thinking, what a hell I just heard, Planet Hell, wait where is Marko to start, okey Floor starts never mind, YES here we go! Still listening Planet Hell a lot, because it’s a very brilliant energy song. PAN was also a highlight song for me, because some of the singing parts are very complex. Well, I’m not a singer, so I don’t know is it complex, but the song is awesome.
The cinematography in these storytimes is getting TOP TIER! Its so, so refreshing to see people who are well-known and so talented….drinking coffee on the porch. Idk i think we need more of that! Thanks for sharing! ❤️

As a 30 year videographer/producer, I have to say you both do an AMAZING job! The whole production, editing, cinematography and overall story telling is so well done! These are engaging from start to finish. We are so spoiled to have such cool content and we thank you so much for the time you put into it for us! This one might be my favorite yet!

A gardening tip: When you have moved the lawn, use the cut-off grass to cover the soil between the plants. That way the soil keeps the moisture much better so less watering needed, it reduces weed growth and also helps to build a good soil structure.
and for winter counts as mulching and helps retain temperatures

Not to take Marko's place (in our hearts), but I think it would be fun to bring this out as well as his marvelous bass playing!!
i think Jukka`s voice would be great as a harmony in the new stuff...How`s The Heart, Harvest etc...He has a deep voice that would fill those harmonies in a great way i think.

I don't think it's possible since it was sold as an exclusive access to the live VR show . It wouldn't be fair to the ones that bought the tickets to that show.. would be great tho ....

I'm beginning to think that this storytime episode is Hannes' project rather than Floor's to showcase his shooting and editing skills. After all the youtube channel is run by both of them. Now i can hardly tell who manages this channel more! Haha! Not complaining though! We thank you both for all the amazing content!

Floor, it's great that you can have a 'normal (ish)' life and like the rest of us a 'to-do' list during these odd times. I've only recently discovered how great Nightwish are thanks to a review by Elizabeth Zharoff Charismaic Voice channel and I cannot believe how the band passed by my ears without me hearing it, At least now I have all the CD's and DVD's to catch up on what I missed. I love your voice and the band play so well together. Even I miss Marco even though I'm an old new guy discovering your music. Now to look forward to a greener future.

Floor you are my life !!! I am inspired by you. But I am a simple person from the Russian hinterland and I do not have the opportunity to see you in reality, but I still live this dream. And every day listening to your voice, it is a gift for me.

5:30 Wake up call from my 5 year old son, then we both make a one hour walk into the woods with the dog. Then preparing breakfast and wake up the rest of the family(wife and my two daughters).
8:00 Kids are in school, my wife goes to work first coffee break in the morning, then a little bit Cardio and weight training and then do the work in and around the house.
13.30 they are all back at home and we eat together. After the meal there is a coffee break for the parents to talk ( the kids play and do some homework) After the coffee break we play or go out into the forest, my daughters go to the riding lessons two days in the week.
At the weekend it is family time and one/two hours that we called time for yourself.

You can tell a lot about a person by how their animals react to them. It’s obvious that Floor’s animals adore her. I like these videos because they provide an insight into the very normal lives of celebrities away from the stage. Such a genuine and grounded person despite the enormous talent. I’m from Oklahoma, and Floor would fit right in on our farm too. Only the accent would be out of place. PS … the garage still looks great.
you can plant the raddish in companion with onions to keep at least a few of the other garden guests away from them

I love the wide open landscape you have to live on! You mentioned your carrots are coming up and that got me excited haha I'm very proud of the veggies I've been growing so far to include my carrots which have also finally sprouted, it's great to see a lot in common with one of our idols 😁

I've known for months that you've traded your horses. Nice that you explained the very understandable reasons to us. Lily and Auri were not ideal for advanced riding (even i could notice that 😔). The Nightwish virtual shows were absolutely great. I watched both of them for three times. You all were on very good shape (Nobody hasn't put on weight in the laziness of the corona-times). "Planet Hell" is not very familiar song to me. It was a bold move to include it to the both setlists. You handled the double vocals remarkably well. "Shoemaker" was also a great surprise to most of us. Joopajoo. Hyvää kesää kaikille! 🌞
Planet Hell is one of my favorite songs from the early Nightwish era, I got chills you can't even imagine when it started playing on the virtual show. It was amazing 🖤

I'm still smiling, even minutes after watching this video, I can't comment on all the stuff that you showed us because it would take a few pages, but I enjoyed every minute of it, and I have to watch it again, at least to see those lazy cats in "action" one more time :))

I loved the glimpse into your life at home, and seeing you so happy in that environment. I will be glad when I turn yellow, but black is definitely my color, like you on stage often. I was so proud of you individually and how you picked up your vocals for the virtual shows, you were fantastic! The whole Nightwish can be so proud of your performances. I am a big tough rough American alpha wolf, but you and your brothers always put me in awe.

Every frame is a painting in this beautifully shot video. This stirs on me a feeling of longing to live there surrounded by nature. Incredible work!
Hi Floor, there are many automated systems that can keep your garden watered if you can't be there in person. Some are simple timer controlled systems, but I'm sure you could install a more complicated system that measures both temp, moistness and other parameters and waters accordingly if you wanted to. And if you feel you want to be more involved (when you are out on tour for example) I'm pretty sure there are systems that you can get that remotely connects with your phone, with sensors, cameras and switches for monitoring and watering your veggies... I myself have a system in my cabin that was very easy to install, that functions both as a burglar alarm and a monitoring system, plus I can switch on the heat and some lights remotely. It's very nice to have that as I'm away for weeks at the time for work, and with this system I can check that everything is ok, and how much snow has fallen and so on... 👍😁
NYC is fully open now and im truly optimistic that Ill be seeing Nightwish in October.
The virtual shows were absolutely amazing watched both nites and you sounded incredible as usual ....the job you did on Planet Hell doing markos parts was mind boggling .
I've learned the same thing over the past year; I have to go out into nature to reset myself. It's especially helpful when I'm overwhelmed or irritable to just go out and watch the birds, bees, rabbits, etc. and to look at all the plants. Stargazing is very soothing in particular.

you know what, it dawned on me we have a few things to be thankful for, with this covid trouble, the highlight is the being able to see you as you are as a family and person, you brighten up our lives more than you realise, added to this if you had been full-on touring your recent medical problems could have been soo much worse, you are a special lady in a very special family (you ain't dodging this one Hannes) so yes I am glad you have had to change what you do but I have to say you are better than ever it leads me to think you are not just a Nightwish singer --you are floor and are cherished for you as you are

riding is like breathing for me. and i have a good eye with horses and his foot timing is spot on. He also is happy with you. he has fun, he shows it by keeping a sassy strut and you can not ask for better then that out of a horse. He will teach you alot and you will teach him nothing no one can teach a horse anything they teach us.

You the most genuine person I have ever seen. I love your work musically you are truly amazing. So cool that the fame has not ruined your ability to enjoy the simple life. Your farm is so nice and your love for animals shows. I started watching a lot of your video's with Nightwish from 2013 that show was amazing. Since then you have quickly become my favorite female singer of all time. But after seeing these video's of the simple life you love I can not express enough of how amazing a person you are. I live in the states in Northeast Pennsylvania. I live a life much like yours with property and love to hunt and fish. I have my own little business selling live bait for fishing which has become much bigger than I thought it would have originally. But anyway Thank you for the talent you share with your music and showing the world how real of a person you are. Best of luck on your future projects I will be watching. Just started watching video, and already am amped by the creative and quality production! Loved the use of Nightwish Human :II Nature music interwoven through clips, really apt matches. Sweet to see affection between Floor and her new riding horse, even if he BIT her previously! Guess he, like so many of us, enjoys a taste of the glorious Floor, if not quite so literally!

Right now, I have two glorious weeks off work on annual leave, so spending lots of time recharging the batteries, listening to music, watching movies, and of course, constantly watching Nightwish concerts on my home cinema. I try not to upset my neighbors, but I just gotta crank it up when Shoemaker comes on 🤘🤘xx

My day: Wake up, feed the fur babies (5 Jack Russels), sit outside sometimes drinking coffee, talking with family about current events or anything of interest really. Play with my lil ones outside because the youngest will be vocal and impatient with me if I don’t. She gives me talking too’s and “nag/scratch” me until I do, while outside I check on the veggie garden. Listen to music a lot!
Check emails, messages etc. Work. Cook. Relax. Boring really.
The horse bonding is amazing F, you can feel and see the love from all of you (horses and you and Fenris). Love the way you speak and treat them. Yup, I am an animal lover too. 🥰
When I was 17 I broke 4 vertebrae while horse riding (not my horse) and the horse decided to go all rodeo bronco on me. Fell off onto my knees, and there went 4 vertebrae (2 straight down the middle the other 2 the “wings” of the vertebrae broke off). I’m not paralyzed 🙏🏻 but had to wear a back brace for 3 months.
My sister got onto the horse right after I fell off, the same thing happened to her, but all she broke was a nail 😂 She grabbed onto the saddle and held on that way.
A week later another girl who heard about what happened to me decided to be all mucho stating “The horse won’t dare do that to her”, she ended up in hospital with internal injuries.
Since then I love looking at them, touching them, just not riding. One day I may venture my way back onto a horse. The horses we owned in the past were lovely.
Back to A day in the life of Yulan: Some days I drive to the beach and just enjoy the view. I am blessed living in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa, the Garden Route, Western Cape.

Thanks for sharing these videos Floor! Back in the After Forever years when I 'found' you, I've never imagined that many years later I could have the chance to meet the personal life of a singer that I admire! I'm not European, so for me knowing the artists that I liked was really only through their albums (google search or YT was not a thing back then either). So I am glad you like to share small pieces of your life and hobbies :)
