While I've heard of quesadillas, I've never had one before. I watched this straight through four times. Then while I ran it a fifth time while I was making the salsa, I skipped Storytime. Sorry, the more I hear that story the more I want to retch. 😂 Here in Canada, the Maple Leaf brand has a new maple pork tenderloin that is very garlicky but marinated in a maple syrup glaze. I used leftovers of that for my first-ever homemade quesadillas. The sweetness of the maple glaze cuts some of the bitterness of the cilantro. I made mine on mini tortillas and used a pizza cutter to cut them in half. Oh my, these were amazing! I will definitely be making them again! Next is to see how cold quesadillas compare to decide if I want to take them for my work lunch. Thank you so much for adding humour and good food to the Internet!
I've done it... I've made it... I've loved it and now I want more...!!! I only had one large Tortilla so I cut it half into a half moon. Cooked chicken from Tesco in the fridge, and I added 2 fresh Birdseye chillies into the salsa 'Hot Hot Hot', and all the other bits... Woweeeeeee... I'll be out buying more Tortillas tomorrow as it was so quick and easy to make, but I need to be braver with the flipping...lol... Also just for info... The bestest Jalapenos in the world are ASDA's own brand for £1.20 a jar... Crunchy, very spicy and even when you add them to a chilli, they don't soften awesome stuff as they knock the spots off any other brand... Loved the video as always, and loved the result even more... Hurrah hurrah and do I get a badge making it so quickly after you posted it..??? lol... Cheers Adam love ya even more now...lol
Another great recipe and wonderful entertainment from you. I have a question for you, what is your favourite comfort food and have you done the recipe here?
Thank you Sue. hard question to answer that, as I have so many dishes I like. I suppose the one thing I can always rely on, is a good roast beef dinner. A nice rolled rib roast, proper yorkshire puddings cooked in dripping, as with the roast potatoes. Some steamed cavolo nero, roasted carrots and honey parsnips. A proper gravy, no packet stuff. And some horseradish on the side.
I know that is going to be good and I have pulled pork in my fridge to use up tonight wooo hooo !! I make cheese versions of these and freeze them stacked for the kids to fry up as needed, I have even ventured into brekkers scrambled egg and bacon quesadillas on the weekend. Adam try warming the tortillas to soften them up a bit then top with a small amount of filling of your choice then fold over and use a flour water paste to glue the edges closed and fry them in oil, wow crispy little pies you can eat on the go.

really loved the dancing rabbits at the beginning. when i was a kid my gran used to make a 'mexi-pizza' quesadilla - which was simply some salsa, and spicy siracha mixed with tomato sauce (or ketchup) all on top of shredded cheese - and then melted between two tortillas. So simple - and so delicious. Just cheese, zesty sauce/salsa and crunchy tortilla. This vid reminded me of that. Give that a try and you'll be a fan. See you next time ;)
