Would be awesome to see a video on modifying the block oil galleries, and 4 bolt cap conversion if that’s what you’re doing, not much on TH-cam covering this unfortunately, too much LS lol, keep up the good work 👏
I am going to see what it runs with just the cam then ad the turbo after . Im also doing another car with a standard 5ltr and crane 288 soild to see what we can get out of that aswell .
What do you do with the lt1 springs to handle the bit extra you're asking of them? Does shimming them up help any to fight the boost or the max lift? I've heard of them used up to .500 but not reccomended for over .480 and extended use. I've floated springs from too much boost before with no issues of lift bind. Sorry if it's a stupid question I've always fitted springs rated slightly over the lift or measured bind before ordering a reground.
@@shredBucketheadshred Well done buddy for working out i worded it wrong . i Degreed that cam in on the 50 thou figures on both side of the intake lobe . The calculations tell ME that the cam is advanced 5 degrees in the motor . I know what the calculation ment to me to tell me what i have done .
Intake lobe center line is what you have changed (ILC). You would need to know the original ILC to know the advance number that you have now. The cam card would probably have it on it or it would have enough info to calculate it. You are correct, advancing the cam will bring the power in earlier. Mate thanks for sharing it for us to enjoy good on you.
Onya Mark, thanks for giving us the updates, it's interesting to see the budget build and what's actually achievable if you put your mind to it.
Thanks Jas
Hey mate it’s coming along well great to see a basic build
Thanks Flat Tappet
Very cool mate, good detail and insight.
Thanks Hornet
Loving this! Hope you make longer videos on the build! Cheers!
Thanks, will do!
Great content mate.
Glad you enjoyed it

No 4 bolt mains in this motor its a factory 2 bolt . I will try and get a video of the of what i do to the oil pump in modifications .
I'm guessing Australia?
Yes Australia
The real challenge would be too go 12's with that cam and without the turbo

Lt1 springs wont love that size camshaft
I know they wont like it but they were sitting doing nothing and have to be better than the old original springs .

These springs will be on the limit of the cam shaft lifts .
advancing the cam doesn't change the LSA , it's ground into the cam
I know you can’t change what’s ground into it it’s showing that I’ve advanced the cam 5 degrees from top dead centre.ive just worded it wrong
@@marksworkshop54 you literally said the LSa changed from 112 to 107
