Truly Appreciate the lessons , I tend to watch your lesson then practice an hour or so most days doing exactly what you recommend , started Dec 2021 and can close my eyes and move chords , strumming is challenging but getting better!!!

Learning the guitar has changed my perception of reality, legit coming from zero musical experience to learning chords muaic os significantly more beautiful. Very few things drastically and permanently alter perception, but the guitar has done that for me, I tell everyone.

I know you probably get tons of song requests but the strumming pattern for Eric Church's Chevy Van is one that has eluded me for a while now. I watch three different tutorials on TH-cam and they all play it differently but none go into detail about how to do it. Anyhow, if you get time it would be appreciated. And as always, thank you for what you do. I have no doubt you have helped way more people with guitar than you can imagine.

Thanks for the lesson. I just started and your videos have been a great find! Thanks for doing them. I have been having trouble with the up strum. It just feels so awkward. Feels like the pick it catching. Any advice?
You just strumming up on the bottom couple of strings?
@@CountrySongTeacherI learned this tonight on my up strums. I was trying to up strum all of the strings. I’m getting better. I’ve been playing about a month. I can get through I Can Only Imagine pretty decent. I keep joking with my kids I’m going to do it in church by August😂😂😂
