While not his flashiest production, this is perhaps Steele's most revealing video about what it takes to be great (at anything), even when you're already him ;-)
Had this same thought. Really rad to see what many consider to be the best of the best pilot struggling with something. Obviously no one's perfect but it's awesome to see the process and grind.
@@blithen it’s something him/nobody has even remotely tried in regular practice. He’s good at what he practices at, and sort of what he doesn’t. This reminds me of skateboarding in many ways with the failed tries.
I gave myself a stranger when I was first 'discovering myself' as a kid.. I was upset how many attempts it took and just when I thought I wasn't gonna pull it off, I nailed that shit. Best feeling ever man. Even though I barely use my left, I couldn't go on throughout life not knowing if I could... Pull it off. 👊
No comment I can muster will do what you have presented here today justice....... everyone tries to buy these skills, they cannot be bought, they cannot be stolen and they cannot be given. They can only be earned! You sir have earned it and at the very least the respect and admiration of every real pilot who watches this. I think I have seen every video you have put out and this my fine sir is by far the best, it shows who and what you really are..... A MASTER of your craft and human like the rest of us (except most of us would have walked away after the broken bottom plate) 👍🏻👍🏻
I can see that once you started consciously focusing on the trick, it got so much harder, I think it's easier when you incorporated it into a line and just pop up on it instead of going after it over and over with nothing in-between. Badass rippage my dog!
I was thinking the same thing. He is so skilled that he didn't even need to practice as much as he did. It looked like he was overthinking it. When he finally just decided to go for it, it came easily. So easily that he did it twice in a row. I think he could have nailed it way sooner than he did.
Yeah. You could Definitely tell By the Fact that Many Times When it looks like he might have actually made it (I.E. was Directly above the hole @the top of the ladder) He'd Often Pull Out prematurely. (Most likely stress related) But When He Clearly Was Gonna Miss; He'd Follow Thru (&Practice the Missing the ground Part)
This "My War" concept is definitely something awesome to watch, from Trasher's vid to FPV tricks. Need more content like this, showing, determination, passion, patience, everything to achieve one and only one goal stuck in your head. Thanks Steele for this cool moment, another gate open between skateboard attitude and fpv drone. Bruh
This was fantastic. It really shows some psychology happening. Just like going to college or training for an Olympic event, it's the striving towards the goal that's so enticing and exciting. Once you reach the goal, there's no where else to go. Then you're stuck looking for the next goal. Awesome stuff.
Seeing all your missed lineups and crashes reminds me that you are, or once were, human like us. They make the videos of you nailing it even more fun to watch, knowing that there's tons of crashes and destruction during the making. Inspiring to remember that you crash too, and not to get discouraged when I see things like the rear props and frame arm in my fpv goggle view after a particularly hard landing.
“ just gotta pull out, just gotta ehhhhh!!! Just gotta ehhhhh!!!” 😂😂😂 for a second I thought I might have had the wrong video on the wrong site. Awesome work Steele. I appreciate you showing us that even the best struggle at times. Killing it as always bro.
To see Steele ramp up and be off target like all of us normal folks was encouraging. Funny that when he actually tried for it instead of just RIPPING it became work, and difficult hahahhaa ...
I watched the whole thing so that I could prove to myself that even the pro's spend days to achieve one dive. And I shouldn't expect to get good at FPV in a day! Practice makes perfect! ❤
I really like that you show the process. Makes us all feel like you are human after all. Lol how many packs did it take . And I can't believe you didn't explode more often. Your stuff is durable. That's what's up. No room for error at all.
This actually is more encouraging to me than an edit where it looks like you got everything perfect on the first try. To see how hard you fought to get that dive, to see how many tries it took, that is what says to me, “Don’t give up! Do it until you get it.” Thank you for letting us see behind the curtain.
@@MrSteeleFPV This edit showed, like what your initial attempt looked like and all the other attempts. We got to see you doing the math this time. I mean I know it made the edit a lot longer but I thought it was a cool perspective on how you take on something. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing all your effort! I believe it means a lot to the fpv community this kind of movie where it brings the top tier pilots to a more human ground, showing us that perseverance is key to reach wherever we want. I take my hat to you sir. Regards from Brazil.
Never thought I’d survive watching 15 minutes of one trick… but I didn’t even second guess clicking this video. Mr. Steele be hypnotizing us… lol great vids man
Loved that you showed us some raw content. Gaps aren’t always first or second try and this shows even the best of the best gotta give it a few more shots. Sick af
Determination is absolutely refusing to fail. This was displayed here in both the flying and the edit which must have been a nightmare. Big props my dude.
The best part of all of this is now steele has a new trick in his bag. Which is only gonna lead to other amazing things i cannot wait to see how this plays into his future rippage
You have no idea, how inspiring this is. Try and try till you succeed. It's funny on the other hand that steele was an underdog against a ladder, and we all loved it when the underdog succeeds.
I guess this is why you're the best FPV pilot on the planet: practice and persistence. I still maintain you must have hand-eye coordination and reflexes on the absolute edge of human capabilities though.
.... u know when ur 7 year old comes in and sees u watching someone attempt a dive for 10 minutes and he says with his eyes " daddy wtf are u watching" and all u say is.... "its war son, sometimes it aint pretty..." if y'all watched this to the end like me, hit that thumb!😛👊👊🤟🤟 sick stuff steele!
Video director: see if you can outrun the drone. Epic. Those tires and that battery are burnt toast. That looked like fun! Those blue garbage cans were sweating from the Mustang.
For some reason I have the Botgrinder logo in the lower right when i'm on full screen but goes away in chat mode. Mad skills bro, thanks for taking me on the journey!
For Steele, persistence pays. For that ladder, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! Watching Steele's videos got me into Fpv. One day..... I hope to train my quads to obey stick commands as good as his does. Right now they're like a stubborn dog, I give them commands, and they do whatever the hell they want. 🤣
sweet divin my dude! i finally dove me a hugewater tower for the 1st time with my tinyhawk freestyle one... not the prettiest 1st dive but each one got a lil better! ill get there earlier nex time and practice even more!
thanks Steele that was great to see a legend struggle with something, the time, the loss of gear, the commitment, i don't feel so bad about having trouble lining up gaps now, i just got to nit give up, there is no 'to hard basket' 👊🙃🤙

Yes but now that he's put that many reps in and crashed a few times he will be that much more confident on his next ladder drop.

TBf there was barely any destruction in this, not even a quad or a go pro. But I agree it's amazing seeing all the failed attempts
Props for editing all these attempts man, insane dives🔥🤌✅
