Hi krissy, love your latest back at "your" dry gully☺️. Good spot away from everything, everybody, and nuggies, paradise.😍.... a trick i learnt... when down to "bottom" still noisy and no nug yet... lower the coil into the hole (it will give you the familiar noise) hold the coil steady, noise will disappear (because it is not moving) then move coil sideways in hole without lifting, the noise will probably not be there. This confirms it as ground noise. As you lift the coil outa the hole it will again give the prevoiusly heard noise , again confirming it as just ground noise. Also love you checking loud noises in difficult, this is such a easy method to dismiss 'onry ground noises, but only confirms louder noises, keep digging the fainter ones to see if they get louder. You keep takeing me down memory lane,,, loving it, thanks mate... kev

So great you are back on the bigger nuggies, Krissy! Fingers crossed that they countinue to pop up.
Also I want to give you feedback for your merch-partner. Great that it is a global company! Delivery was quite fast (within 5 workdays) and because they are based in the EU as well (Latvia) the transport costs are really fair and no additional customs to pay (orders from Australia can double the costs of the goods). I cannot wait to wear my hoodie an t-shirt after they dried after first wash - and sipping coffee out of your merch mug watching your latest adventures :)
Cheers and stay safe from Vienna!

I grew up on a farm with machinery, in Alaska the perma Frost made digging for short times.
One prospector purchased a D11 Cat and expects to find 9000 OZ now in a longer season!
Australia is bound to make prospecting like yours more OZ per season! May the gold viles over flow.

  • @patdenney7046
    @patdenney7046 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Raking good looking spots increases your depth obviously raking the rocks off get you closer and also it stabilizes the ground and rakes off the hot rocks that have been exposed to that atmosphere which gives you quite a bit more depth and stability
Stable ground also increases your concentration.
You don’t have to get carried away just a good lawn rake that will stabilize the ground and flip the hot rocks to the side!
If you try and scratch out bottoms of the creeks and good-looking spots they have a rock rake which is four prongs and you gotta get the cast one not the welded one excellent tools you can move just about any rock you want and you do the good looking areas in the bottoms of the creek and you don’t have to bend over to move any rock!
But if you’re just generally hunting you got it down just carry a simple digger and stay light.
You’re awesome keep up the good work keeping your head up is the major part of this game

    Back detector off
If you’re detector stable you can hear so much more
You can’t control the sun spots or flares!
Hunt the same kind of ground how ground has certain ground balances in patches
Only hunt the best looking spots.
Time of day or night may be more stable.
When the air traffic is At a lol.
    Humidity
    Moisture in the ground
Amount of sun in a day or the lack of sun in the day can make the ground more unstable
    Brain overload
Just swing your detector 6 inches off the ground and stressed out brain overload you’re not detecting anything you’re just going through the motions sure you can find a nail trash!
Concentrate on keeping your Coil on the ground
    Concentrate on the small targets
you know how much concentration it takes
The best headphones you can have
There is many more just a little reminder so you can get the tools out that are in your toolbox and sharpen them up
Good job Chrissy you are getting better and better all the time.
There’s a new tool LiDAR follow the old timers!

I am running late this week, probably because I moved into Pine Creek, the cost of generating power was just to great at the other place. I really loved the large nugget it is a pity they don't come in bunches that often, I have broken my caliper and pulled all of the ligaments on my left ankle so have to have another caliper made up and I can hardly walk at the moment, I have set my sluesh up ready to start feeding dirt through as the grass has grown to long over here to detect through, it's good to see you are still finding gold, have a reat day.

A point of advice on your skin-tone looking red. It looks more like a camera setting that makes you look red. Most likely your camera's auto white balance is turned on and will vary significantly depending on what the camera software thinks is correct. You'll notice the color change from shot to shot depending on the total overall gamma in the shot. i.e the close up shots of the gold in your hand always looks super red/orange. As a professional videographer, I (almost) never ever use auto white balance - the white balance is set before hand in each location if the light changes. Luckily sunlight never really changes, so you set it and go when outdoors.

    • @OutbackGoldFever
      @OutbackGoldFever  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks for the feedback, had a look at the settings of my action cam and couldn't find any white balance adjustments, I think it's all automatic. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to something a little more professional 😁

That was a nice pickup. Just think of the barren holes you dig as practice holes that are keeping you slim. You need to vary your quad tracks in. I could see where you were forming a faint track. I hope you have more luck. 28c buggers this little black duck these days.

Hi Patricia, thanks for your comment. It doesn't really cool down anymore, probably not until april, it's only the beginning of summer. A fan helps a bit, when it gets really hot I soak my towel in water and use that as a sheet at night.

Looking good Krissy and what a beautiful nugget as well. The terrain looks very rugged and must take it's toll upon your tires and equipment. But all that aside I really appreciate your program and it helps me learn so many tips and useful bits of information when it comes to detecting as a whole. Thank you so much ;0)

G'day Krissy, I had a guess at at the weight of the larger nugget, I had it at about 8 grams, it just looked thick, large and heavy, I was close! but if I had found it, I would have guessed it at less in the hope it was heavier, several of those a day would be nice, Have you ever detected an area that produced gold for you that didnt have left over scrap metal that was left over from earlier years, an untouched area, so to speak!... I did have a great weekend up at Dunnolly in the Golden triangle of Victoria, at a get together of detectorists put on by Luke of Dig it Detecting, Didn't find any gold but he had us chasing coins, relic's and special prize winning targets, no prizes for me, but pockets full of coins and buckles, now im recuperating from a tiring weekend of travel and detecting. I had a ball!... Keep finding those big nuggets Krissy! Cheers!
