Happy 25th anniversary "Toy Story". I'm so proud and happy at everyone at Pixar and Disney for making one of the best animated films of all time. Thank you John Lasseter for an amazing childhood and R.I.P Robin Williams.
I was brought here by Woody and Buzz's special appearance at last night's Oscars presenting Best Animated Feature to fellow Pixar flick Inside Out! John Lasseter is this generation's Walt Disney by creating an amazing new chapter in the nearly 100 year history of the Mouse House. Disney's alliance with Pixar is a true example of "Uncle Walt's" tradition of breathtaking innovation. Happy 20th anniversary to Toy Story and 35th anniversary to the studio that brought the talking toys to fun filled life. RIP to Robin Williams
So, so, so well deserved!!! The Toy Story series is the best animated series of all time! Finding Nemo (and still but not as much it's sequel) would be next in line because I remember it more as a kid but now they're both the top. After that would probably be Wall-E, and I have to figure out the rest of my list. Toy Story being the first computer animated feature film revolutionized animation and I'm so happy about that. Yes, original animation is good, but this was so revolutionary. The story/screenplay and animation of the Toy Story series is what makes it so phenomenal! John Lassenter and Pixar do such a great job and Pixar is just phenomenal. Anyway, I can't wait for Toy Story 4 and Pixar, keep being phenomenal. PS, RIP Robbin Williams.
I'm 35. More than anybody else, John's (and Pixar's) work defined my and my generation's formative years and helped us all through them, so I thank and salute him for that. Also, I know he has since been revealed to have committed professional abuse and misconduct, and it was very wrong of him to behave in those ways, but he publicly admitted to and apologised for his misdeeds, and in subsequently resigning from Pixar on his own terms, he did the mature thing and took full responsibility for them and voluntarily jumped ship before they had to force him out. Take his reaction to those revelations, and compare it to how Harvey Weinstein reacted to the scandal that brought HIM down.
I still see him John Lasseter as a good man since I also loved and grew-up with his animated films from Disney and PIXAR from Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Cars, after all he really did a public apology and decided to resign from Pixar, this is why I believe he deserves a second chance if Disney and PIXAR would give him one.
chris Lopez. Yeah, allegations don't prove shit to be true unless real evidence is ever provided instead of being based on words alone that prove nothing, only from jealous, attention seeking feminists out to destroy someone over personal vendetta.

Watching this in 2018, after Robin Williams committed suicide and John Lasseter got kicked out of Pixar following multiple sexual harrassment allegations....
If you don't have the rights to post the animated part of the clip, then work with Disney to post it! I'm sure they would like to share this moment as well. This is a unique part of Pixar and Animation history that should be shared. I don't believe this clip is available (in full) on any of the Toy Story home video/DVD/Blu-ray releases. I am lucky to have a well-worn VHS copy of this clip...
1:07 - 1:10 It’s hilarious in hindsight considering 14 years later Ken would actually have a role in Toy Story 3 and this was BEFORE Mattel finally let them use Barbie and the characters since Barbie was supposed to be in the first film as Woody’s girlfriend in place of Bo Peep and had a major scene of rescuing Woody and Buzz from Scud as an homage to Sarah Connor from Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Mattel refused thinking the film would be a flop and that Barbie should be a literal blank slate for girls to project themselves onto.

I don't care what they said about John Lasseter, he still my hero
He will always be the creator of Toy story. I’m pretty sure he had other plans for TS4

I still think that woody and buzz are talking, sitting with the Oscar
John, you´re the best!!!!!!
@jojito08 Yes it was. Unfortunately we don't have the rights to post that part of the clip.
@Liam I’m guessing the OC was a deleted comment asking if a clip from Toy Story was used.
Pixar Animation Studios was a small studio but when Toy Story became a success, Pixar became a bigger studio
John Lasseter is the next Walt Disney.
Antonio Pèrez-Mantilla if Walt Disney inappropriately touched his employees
Mo M it's only allegations

Disneyfan82 well said!
He went on to become a pervert
Robin presented an Oscar to Pixar 3 times
John may be a creep, but he really did change the game when it comes to animation.

Toy story got selected to the library 📚 of Congress
was it a the end of this award that Woody and Buzz started talking to the animated Oscar? Someone has this clip?
This is hard to watch now. Poor Robin! Lasseter now in disgrace. Very Sad and Bittersweet!
I guess even the smallest toys can become the biggest stars in movie history.
@Oscars Such a shame. It blew my mind when I saw it on tv that year. Thanks for the reply.
Toy Story is the best animated movie of all time, and if you don't agree then you're a Cars 2 fan.
Michael Chapman yes toy story is the best
