generateStaticParams is a replacement for getStaticPaths in the older pages router versions. Essentially without knowing the static params, next will server render every page in /blog/slug since it doesn’t know which slugs are accepted. Since a blog is a essentially static since you know the posts at build time, you can let Nextjs know which slugs it should build pages for and it’ll statically build those pages and no longer needs to server render that page
@@rasmic I've never been able to put my finger on it but there is just something different about how we Canadians carry ourselves vs our US counterparts. Some might say we have a vibe 😎
Great video! Just a quick note: I noticed you used the meta keywords tag, but that tag is actually obsolete for modern SEO practices. Google and other search engines no longer use it for rankings, so it’s not necessary to include
This was great. Becoming one of my go to developer video channels to watch when I’m chilling. Keep it up and you be one of the most popular developers. You should do a mega vid of how to build your own cms. A mega video like code with Antonio
Can you do a video about how to setup the website to google search console? Because if i deploy my website in for eg vercel and do all of these you said, my website will still not be visible in google search or any other search engine. Great video either way.
Great work!! Can you make a video for hosting a NextJs website like this one for foods on a Virtual Machine using PM2 where you render the built site after the npm run build command? Where all these sitemap.xml, robot.txt etc. will be served after the build phase? It something useful for people that don't want to host everything to Vercel thus opting for self-hosting in VPS.
Also, do you use any other resources to improve the SEO of a website or you let NEXT take care of it all? I've heard some people kind of register their domains and stuff in Google Search Console, etc.
This is hands down my favorite coding youtube channel rn
don't make me blush
