Hi, your video was very interesting! I'm a baby doctor who would love to work in a cruise ship. I know most companies require at least 3 years of experience and a skill set I don't have, but I still would love being part of the medical team in a cruise ship, could I apply as a nurse with my credentials? Thanks!
I would absolutely love to do this! I have 7 years experience of nursing working in a variety of hospital settings, however, I don't have ITU or A&E experience unfortunately. Is it a necessity? I have worked for many years in wards providing acute care both surgical and medical.
Have a look at each individual company and see if any accept without that specific experience. Otherwise I would advice to get some experience first in A&E and Critical care.
Im from south africa i would love to work on cruise ship... i do have the relevant experience, I'm an Enrolled with 10 years of experience in various wards, surgical, medical ,icu,Peadeatric and trauma unit.
It depends of the skillset in different countries, but from my experience in the UK, some paramedics could work in a cruise shift. I think the problem is most paramedics can't give medication, monitor patients in hospitals, and are not trained in ICU care.
Hi David, dealing with emergencies might be stressful for some, but there are other roles like occupational health that can help you achieve a better work life balance with less stress.
No experience in medicals. 10years experience in beauty sales. Can i take up a nursing course or training on board a cruise ship. I will be joining the sship later this year
No, you have to go to nursing school and have some years of experience in specific area ( itu & a&e) or order to be a cruise nurse. But check the criteria in your own country.
And you have to have 2 years minimum in the hospital And if she's talking icu care then at least 3 years for you starting med surge and then going to icu from there or ER
I have 7 years EMT 5 yr ER RN 4 years ICU RN ACLS BLS PALS and I’m a board certified IV/picc nurse. Think they would take me? I would need to bring my wife and 2 kids periodically…
I love this idea! Great salary, tax savings and you can see the world while helping people!
Thank Alex, you for your comments! Looking forward to watch your videos!
04:00 can you write out the companies - its a bit difficult to make out because it goes very quickly and is not innunciated
I will make a video with the companies for sure, will be released on Monday :). stay tune!
You're awesome! Keep posting!
Thank you 😀

Can indians apply?
If you are in India, maybe check cruises operating in India. If you are in the UK as long as you have the relevant experience you should be able to.
