      Yo I accidentally saw them live at Red rocks and was completely blown away they were so much fun and awesome to watch and hear. They weren't even the headliner and just stood out so much that I was so super impressed.

      @@cavecookie1 Its just soo bouncy and bright and happy sounding. But the lyrics are gruesome and the whole after I countdown 3 rounds I'll be in good company - one for the cheating wife, one for the cheater, and one for him the singer... but, yeah it just. Bouncy!

    If I don't feel like doing the bulk shopping, but I have to, then I play this song in the department store and walk through the store like the guys in the video. That is fun.
    I've had the song in my playlist for a few years.

    This reminds me of a musical journey I took a few years ago. It started with Nathaniel Rateliff "SOB" --> Dead South "In Hell I'll Be in Good Company" --> Shakey Graves "Roll the Bones" --> Colter Wall " The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie"
    All great music. Of them, I think I appreciate Colter Wall's catalog of work the most, but "Roll the Bones" is just phenomenal.

    Tons of online discussions about the lyrics - who got killed, what happened then, etc. Very dark lyrically. It seems like you were too enchanted with the style, the presence and the voices to notice how deep the lyrics are. I hope when you played it to your wife you were able to catch more of what this tune is actually about.

    I like this song, though I must admit, I can and have listened to this on repeat, but have never looked up anything else by them. I just like this so much I don't want to NOT like something else.
    Here's a raspy guy for you: Paolo Nutini. Almost everyone reacts to Iron Sky recorded at Abbey Road Studios, you could do that, or do the other one from that set: Let Me Down Easy.

    have always loved these guys and this has got to be the best toe tappin, finger snappin song about killing your husband ever sung

    • @rchuso
      @rchuso 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The killing (after the stabbing of the husband with that knife) was three rounds - for the cheating wife and her lover, and then for himself to avoid the hangman's rope. At least that's how I interpret it.

    • @JDams572
      @JDams572 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The band actually made a video saying that the song is about how he caught his wife cheating so he killed her, but he still loved her, and after committing murder he will be in hell in good company (with her)

    • @JDams572
      @JDams572 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also “after three rounds I’ll be in good company” refers to the 3 bullets he used. Her, the other person, and himself.

    I don't know if this fits under any genre. This is so different from the traditional bluegrass I grew up with. I won't introduce it to dad because he won't appreciate it, but I like to think of it as my banjo music, so I won't feel so guilty about not regularly choosing music with banjo in it. Dad plays 5 string banjo in that traditional fast fingerpicking style.

    • @Tacocheesecake

    Please react to CLUTCH (the best band you've never heard of ©). I suggest for your first go, either Electric Worry (their most well-known song), Burning Beard, 10001110101 or A Quick Death In Texas.
    FYI...this same comment will appear ONLY if I have watched your reaction video. I am not here to spam your channel...I just want to help get a great band some much deserved recognition. P.S....I will always give your reactions a thumbs-up, even if I don't care for or like the band or song you react to...because I like you and your channel.
