If he doesn't tell them *before* the marriage, he doesn't get to draw the power. The spells are quite proper. I'm with contemporary. Flashing neon red. Informed consent and body made for sin aside, it's time to find another magic fuel for him. Nice that he is upfront and gave her the key to the vault though.
Depends. How many days are there of Fantasy's life? Like, if she's immortal, then they're a match made in, well, not Heaven but somewhere. That being said, China doesn't have this many red flags
@@katelyntaylor7384 There's actually a book on that premise 😂 It's called The Undying King by Grace Draven (who writes AMAZING fantasy books) and the romance is between he who cannot die and she whose touch is death. They balance each other nicely, don't you think?
The fact that he gave her the key scares me the most. Blue beard! I used to love that tale, still do actually. I only have one pet peeve, in the last frames I just wish the word romance would flicker just a bit.
As someone who not only is born and raised n the south but also loves paranormal romance (especially vampires) I really appreciate the southern accent and impression. 😆
I love Paranormal's 'as one does' - the whole delivery means they know there is more crazy to come and they need a benign phrase to keep that info-faucet gushing
For some reason, I just thought of Jane Erye when historical spoke of understanding. Not say that's how she is, but when I think morally grey ml in that genre, I think of Mr. Rochester.
First few minutes into this short, I thought FR was referencing that fairytale of blue beard. A blue bearded King that married a farmer girl and gave her a keychain with all the keys of the castle, so that she could enjoy all of the pleasures of it. Except, she was told not to open one room that she had the key to. One day, she opened it out of curiosity and saw the preserved corpses of all the princesses that the king had married to previously. He discovered her and heartbroken told her that since she opened the one door he told her not to, he'll have to kill her. Idk how this tale ends originally but the version I saw, the girl is saved by her three lumberjack brothers and the king burns together with his castle.
📖Bluebeard's Secret by Sarah K. L. Wilson
I thought it had to do with the Bluebeard fairytale by the description of a vault full of dead wives and the new wife being given the key to it 😂
😂 I was like, wait, I know that guy. That's Bluebeard. He is more of a marinara sauce jar full of redflags guy. Aaaanywaaay you were not supposed to look so he'll kill you cause you broke his trust.
I was just about to ask if fantasy has ever heard of Bluebeard or Fitcher's Bird.
My grandma used to tell me Bluebeards tale as a young girl. I will never understand why she tought that it was a appropriate tale for a small child xD
Omg how'd I know it was based off of blue beard.
I love how Historical and Paranormal switched their trope responses: "As one does" and "I understand" 😂
Yes, I've noticed Historical moving away from Victorian towards Medieval morality (grey) lately! 😂
In the true fantasy genre, it would be a joke on him, bc she's immortal and doesn't know it, since it's a long lost heritage of her family. 💁
This it’s always this.
