Looking away, to me means corrupt, at the end of the day. I will never forget the name of one police officer that tried to stop a PD in Nevada from illegally messing with me. The guy was just fair and stable, but they started to make it out that if he was helping me, he was sleeping with me. He couldn't afford that type of crap with a wife and 4 kids. When looking away, its kinda understandable but you might as well walk or accept that you're corrupt too. I stated not holding it against cops. But how does that help? It doesn't. I almost lost my life. I didnt forget it either. its affected me long-term.

All people should watch this - when you see Black Lives Matter when so many white cops abuse black citizens. Corruption all the way around. They need to give men and women 1. Basic intelligence tests and 2. Most importantly, psych tests to rule out sociopathy and psychopathy. Sometimes people go into the police to do good - others, to have power over others. Let's weed out the criminal and immoral elements in police departments - they carry guns!!! And give ongoing classes to police people, vis and vis what's ok and not ok, as well as support for the dangerous jobs they do. Please lets punish the bad apples and rewards those doing a wonderful job. Also, to take away the concept of protecting the bad apples as if it is a honorable police code. It is not. It is complicity with evil.

Thanks for the upload! Definitely worth the 1h 40m length of the two episodes. :)
For being a TV docudrama that was produced between 1998 and 2006, I find the concept with the the interviews, the surprisingly good acting and sets they're using in the reenactments. Normally the budget of docudramas are so limited that it's way too noticable in the end product, but not here. I don't know how New Dominion did it, but it clearly worked!
Of course everything isn't perfect, it would be nice with 16:9 widescreen edition (I know that this was produced before the switch to 16:9 standard in television) as well as some scenes can be a bit cheesy at times. But overall it's a nice crime docudrama that's quite compelling to watch and has actually stood the test of time surprisingly well. :)
Thanks to New Dominion Pictures for uploading these episodes for us all to see free of charge! I find it awesome that a production company decides to "archive" their popular series here on TH-cam for us all to see. :D

I am sorry to say that Kim Groves murder was NOT stopped by the police or the FBI when it was clear they had a hit out on her. Could have done it in a way that did not jeopardize their operation. I have a theory about that. Most people that become police officers have the best intentions. There may be a few that go into "law enforcement" for the purpose of making cash on the side. But most go in honest. The ones that turn while on the force are usually subjected to something that sways their morals. Maybe the department fucked them over on a promotion, maybe some are gambling or addicted to drugs and need more income to survive, maybe some are just tired of the shit pay and get jealous of the money they see on the street the gangsters and drug dealers make.....or a combination of any or all of those....so they turn dirty for the easy money. But I stand firm that most of these dirty cops started in law enforcement with good intentions.

OMG ! My exact same thoughts ! I would like an update on these cases like what happened to the police officers in prison ? Were they "protected" and seperated from the general population ? Are they still alive and suffering or did other dirty cops and the dirty justice system get them out ?

    My strictly personal opinion.
Any policeman, judge, lawyer, politician, violates the law and can be proven corrupt, to receive life imprisonment.
No one is forcing you to take up a position in which you are called upon to observe the law, but if you want to hold that position and you do not do your job for which you are paid, but you break the law, then you run the risk of being severely punished. tougher than a simple citizen.
If this law existed, 80-90% of corruption cases would disappear
