I mean... it's redbook CD audio, couldn't you put the disc in a CD player and listen to the music? Or did Dreamcast games have tighter encoding than PS1 and Saturn games?
@@aortaplatinumIIRC since it’s a GD-ROM disc if you put it in a real CD player it just reads a small section at the centre of the disc encoded in CD-format that contains a message saying the disc can only be played in a Dreamcast. The message is different depending on the region too which is interesting. The format of the music is ADX files on the GD-ROM, like Sonic Adventure and many other Dreamcast games.
@@aortaplatinum Not for Sega Dreamcast discs. The audio files are in .ADX file format but Audacity can be used to convert the said files to .mp3 or .wav files. And even then, unless the files have been ripped and uploaded online no ordinary computer can read GD-ROM discs.

I played this game when i was 12-14 and it was a good game however the soundtrack was Amazing for its time! Kind of like in Ridge Racer type 4! Thanks so much for uploading! Dreamcast was an amazing console!

Listening to this, I can't help but to think: What was going on the 2000's? Every music was just so damn funky and they were just releasing bangers! They went so hard on a racing game for no reason!
Aun no entiendo como es que sega no volvió a hacer juegos de coches, siempre les salían bien, y la banda sonora de los juegos de carreras también les salía bien, y aún sigo esperando un sega rally 3😓

Kabbu pfp omg hi!!!
@@iDontThinkImPrettySure Hi! I see you you've heard the good word of Bug Fables.

It's one of my favorite games of all time :)
@@iDontThinkImPrettySure Me too. I love Paper Mario so it's like my dream game. Defintely top 5 for me.
I haven't even played the game yet, but this is already my favorite song from MSR. TJ Davis is an amazing singer.
Oh DAMN, did not expect the acid jazz, on some Incognito, Brand New Heavies... even some Jamiroquai didgeridoo thrown in! I'm strung.
I can't believe I didn't really notice the didgeridoo until now. There are so many "nods" in this soundtrack
Literally ICOGNITO!! The song I hear your name was my first thought
This sounds so much like Jamiroquai, I'm in awe
yeah kinda like too young to die at parts
I looovvveee Jamiroquai best music ever 😊😙
That's the first thing I thought the first second in lol
Toda la razón amigo

Big Sonic R flashbacks. Not in a bad way tho, this kind of music is banging

This song is really helping me out with my recent struggles
It helped me back in 2004 as well.
Listening to this, I can't help but to think: What was going on the 2000's? Every music was just so damn funky and they were just releasing bangers! They went so hard on a racing game for no reason!
This was 90s and very early 2000s. After that it went to shits
You're awesome for posting this. This was my favorite racing game for quite a while and the soundtrack was a big reason
No prob☺
Felt like i accidently popped in my Incognito album
Definitely sounds like it could be an Incognito song ;)
💯
I swear its The Brand New Heavies with the Jamiroqai horn section. Stuart Zender on bass. Gary Barnacle etc......
and Incognito
Thanks for upload this OST pretty Laura
You are welcome 😊
No matter what sega game I can still hear sonic music inside

Heh, I knew about this song before recharged 😏
I heard this in Sonic R-echarged (Roblox)
we using honey the cat with this one
The vs. Mighty and Ray experience on R-echarged.
Vs Mighty and Ray racing theme
This song reminds me of persona 5
This sounds as if An endless Journey From Gran Turismo 3/4 was a Jamiroquai Song.
Lyn Inanizumi?
no, it's TJ Davis. It's acid jazz just like Persona 5 though.
One word: Jamiroquai
I beat mighty and ray so easily
I needed to be super sonic in my private server to beat them

Which character you used man? I'm still trapped in that damn race

Persona sounds old Sega tracks.
please for the love of god acquaint yourself with jazz-derived music outside of the Persona series. Persona did not fuckin invent funk
better than persona tho lol
