I love it when someone uses a shade of paint I would never have used with what was already put down. I would never have gone with that pink, but it is perfect. Thanks for the pleasant surprise.
Your work inspires me to create more and more. My creativity has been stifled lately.....I'm a middle school teacher teaching in chaos....To get me out of my "funk", I turn to your videos. You have no idea as to what your work has done for me both mentally and emotionally. THANK YOU FOR RETURNING MY SANITY!!
Wow! This was truly a master class in grunge. I have to say that I loved the background so much I didn't want you to put anything on it and let it be it's own star. Thanks for sharing.
I loved watching your process. I haven't done this mixed media in years and you have me wanting to get back to it. I see a shopping trip coming up soon. LOL, my husband thanks, you Amber! TYFS, Donna, in California.
Ahh, France Papillon … my first art journal hero ❤️❤️❤️ I’m afraid I cheat and add more water to the brown/darker color so it seeps into the cracks quicker. This background was beautiful 😍😍
Thank you so much Amber. I really really love 💕 this fantastic and stunning and gorgeous amazing double spread. I really really love 💕 all that texture and colours you’ve used. I really really think 🤔 you should frame this and put it in pride of place too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Beautiful page. The background reminds me of a wall in an old house with peeling paint revealing the layers beneath and the history of the house. That black paint was scary, but so lovely once it was wiped off to show the texture. ❤️👍🏾
Beautiful colours. So many layers and textures. Someone gave me a box full of tubes of things like glazing mediums and I didn’t know how to use them. Now I feel inspired and can’t wait to play. Thank you once again...I learn so much from you.
Wow!! This is so beautiful! I would be afraid of "messing it up" if I put anything on it! You did a beautiful job! I love watching you work!! Thanks for sharing!
I've been looking for inspiration for a canvas that i want to create for my brother and s-i-l for their 25th. THIS IS IT!! I can't wait to get started after seeing this! I love your comment about the background being a work of art in itself... I will remember this as I start my creation...! Thanks Amber for sharing your talents with us. xo Ursula
The whole thing came out beautiful love it!!! Do more of these bc I look at you for inspiration as well. Your one of the first art journals TH-cam I started watching
Another stunning piece Amber ,you really inspire me every video you release ! I especially love the colours in this one ,my favourites ,thank you for sharing ,i look forward to the next one .
Loved watching you 'build' the background! I was getting worried with the white ink stamp - contrast too stark, however, the tag ties everything together!! Love it!! Thank you for letting us watch the process!!
Absolutely stunning! I am also a subscriber of France. Truly an "art therapist"! This is so gorgeous, Amber Thank you for making my start to the week awesome!
Wow! Perfect start to my Sunday! Thanks for reminding me of embossing powder. Beautiful page, but you didn’t list your nail polish colour in the supplies list lol 😍
Gorgeous!! I love your work! Your colour palette, the cracked textures (black glazing medium!😱😄), damp and dry rags and fingertips (and yet immaculate nails!) 😉 About a year ago I would never have appreciated this, in ANY way. But we had some home renovations done downstairs and were confined to a couple of rooms upstairs. (And I'm sorry if I've already shared this..) With no whole house to keep, I had loads of time to get into cardmaking again. Then I came across mixed media and your channel. Pow!! I love it! Then came lockdown...a great excuse to keep experimenting and I'm growing 😄 Who would have thought?! I can't throw anything away now. Every wrapper, piece of card, thread pebble, bead.... SESAME SEEDS FROM THE TOP OF MY BREAD ROLL!!! 😂😂 I sneak my husband's pollyfilla and drywall tape. It's TERRIBLE 😭😂 ( I've been told that's a sign of growing 🤔🤭) This was sooo good 👋👋 Such wonderful Saturday evening viewing. Sigh....... And the music. What is it? Sounds a bit like Einaudi but less moody. Anyway, meanwhile I do have some of my other life back 😉 Thanks for this. I will be trying 👍 have a good weekend and stay safe. 😘
I like the way all the layers came out, you really did France proud, I myself love her work and wish I could create like that but I needa stop and like u said breathe bc I’m always trying to rush instead of enjoying the moment
This was an amazing video! All your videos are amazing! I love your musical selections-they are perfect and NOT irritating so I don’t have to mute! Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Absolutely breathtaking. What kind of spray did you jse after the white lettered stamp? When battery died. Also how long does a masterpiece like this usually take you?
Hi ya.. love this page & watching the whole process come together.. you do love your dots dont you 🙈😂 lol... they are very much your signature thing to put on your pages..while i do love all your art work & watching the whole process of it coming together.. im thinking your page looked amazing without your signature dots..dont get me wrong it looks lovely at the end..but i dunno i think the dots was to much...but thats only my opinion hun there for it does not matter..you still ended up with a beautyfull page... you have inspired me to get some crackle paste & glazeing medium.. but im so torn on crackle paste as there are so many of them.. but i deffo dont want transparent crackle. There are mixed reviews on the ranger one but best results on the golden one..i know you used the ranger one on this page & the crackle effect was lovely..but have you used the golden one & if so which one would you recommend please..as im on a budget but i want crackles lol..i bought the Deco mache Antique crackle but dinlo here didnt read the pot n turns out there is a 2 part thing a top n base coat grrr ...the effect i want is the exact same effect you got 😁...also another question.. do you know if i could mix (these are the one i have) pebeo gel medium with normal acrylic paint to make a glaze..? Or do i need actual glazing meduim to get that effect..just trying to use what i have is all ..."im a supply junkie" 😂🙈...so need to use what i have...Thank you so much for shareing yoyr art videos with us..as always its a pleasure to watch..hope all is well😁🌻
Hi! I don't think the gel medium would have the same effect as glazing medium, BUT you should definitely try it and see what kind of results you get. =D Have a wet wipe near by to wipe it off right away. I haven't tried the golden crackle but I bet it is lovely. The key is to not put it on too thick. Absolutely use what you have. Half the fun is experimenting with your supplies to see what works with what. =) Have fun!
@@AmberKCreative hi ya. .i did have a try with Acrylic paint & liquitex gel matt meduim & the pebeo gel meduim aswell ..all tho i only wiped it off with a kitchen paper towel. It kinda worked as a glaze over that deco mach antiqu3 crackle top coat (coz idiot here didnt know it was a 2 part thing🙈) lol..but it went sticky i efen tried it with paint & the galleria matt medium . But it left a sticky residue over the crackle & only some of the crackls took the colour in. So i definitely need to get proper crackle paste..iv ordered the golden one..so i hope it works lol some youtubers have used it onbthere videos & has a lovely crackles 😁 so fingers crossed🤞 8t works for me..but yes definitely think i will have to order some glazing medium instead to get the effect you got...thank you hun for your reply was very nice of you..not many youtubers will reply (rude) lol. I hope all is well with you & your family .keep on smiling & crafting 🌻😁
Absolutely gorgeous! Like others, I was really surprised by some of your paint choices, but they turned out great! I'm curious, however: did you plan every step in advance, or was it an organic process? Or something in between??
I would buy that as a digital all day. I loved this so much. Glad l found you. 💕
Oh! i love France Papillon as well, and her voice relax me so much !

Beautiful from beginning to end...but for me it opened up my mind for uses in my black journal...😀❤️
Watching you create your background is one of the most satisfying things I've seen in a long time.

Yes, it feels like every little thing can be used in mixed media art. It's hard to throw stuff away! 😊
This is so awesome! Can't wait to try the crackle paste.
I like the way all the layers came out, you really did France proud, I myself love her work and wish I could create like that but I needa stop and like u said breathe bc I’m always trying to rush instead of enjoying the moment

Absolutely breathtaking. What kind of spray did you jse after the white lettered stamp? When battery died. Also how long does a masterpiece like this usually take you?
This is fantastic & I loved watching you create it. I also love France's art. What color Lindy's Gang Spray did you use? Thank you.
Thank you so much! I think it was Dark Chocolate Truffle. =)
Amber, this is gorgeous!!
das ist toll!
Beautiful. In my case, Using baby wipes or paper towels usually removes a layer of gesso too. I don’t use a lot of pressure too. Not sure why though
Also it’s very difficult for me to not think of the end result 😕
This is incredible x
Thank you, Julia!

Amber, this is beautiful and it was interesting to watch. What was the pink paint you used?
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Beautiful work. I'm impressed that you don't get your jumper/top in the paint. I know I would lol. 🤣
Thank you! 😊
