Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to rescue these innocent victims. And please, don't let them be adopted by families whose kids "want" a pup for Xmas, only to abandon it when the novelty wears off. These are living and breathing animals and deserve a fantastic future. ❤ From the UK.
I hope they don’t go to children either since many of these are pit bulls, and hundreds of kids are mauled and maimed every year in the USA, and pit bulls are to blame more than any other breed (not their fault though-it’s the bad breeders and irresponsible owners).
Pits can be SO adorable, but over 800,000 people a year in the US must get medical attention due to dog bites, and according to the CDC, over 60% of deaths by dogs are caused by pits even though they make up only 7% of the US dog population. ** *_Before accusing me of lying, look it up._*
Please research and look at *both* sides.
The majority of maulings, and the nightmare plastic surgeries that follow, are also caused by pits more than any other breed, and they do the worst damage. Plastic surgeons are speaking out.
No other breed attacks as horribly and devastatingly as the pit bull.
They are bloodsport dogs and were bred to attack ferociously. It’s not their fault-it’s the fault of those who bred them, but nevertheless, this makes them very dangerous.
Dogs bred to herd instinctively herd.
Dogs bred to retrieve instinctively retrieve. Dogs bred to attack, instinctively attack….
They are not the average domesticated dog-with their attack instinct, they’re more like owning a tame mountain lion, and you never know when they’ll give into that instinct.
It’s playing with fire, and too many people get burned. 😞
If you decide to comment and debate this, please be mature and keep it respectful…
Man! Those porcupine quills look so painful! Well done to all those who helped to get him better 🐕
I was more worried that Quill the dog attacked by a porcupine would go blind from those sharp quills, I’m glad he’s alright.
Poor thing. Hopefully he learned not to pick a fight with porcupines, but some dogs just seem to love getting into trouble. He looked so sweet so I hope he got a good home with that family.
Most dogs would immediately back away from a porcupine, but pit bulls go in for the ☠️. You can stab them, kick them, and they just won’t stop attacking. They were breed for that. That’s why it has so many quills. I’m sure the poor porcupine didn’t make it. :(

Thank God for all the people willing to help. Humans don't deserve the unconditional love these animals give.
Bless these people for helping these poor innocent souls….❤❤❤
I hope someone is doing the same for kitties also!!
Thank you for saving all these babies ❤❤❤❤❤
Dogs are good people
Well said....dogs are good people. We are ALL animals and should be kind to one another!
No, they're better. Most people genuinely suck. Most dogs are genuinely awesome, empathetic, and loving.
The BEST people...
Thank you for the reporting, a horrific situation. PLEASE let people know that all rescue dogs will be spayed or neutered to start making a dent in these abandoned populations. Again thank you FOX 9 for this reporting, keep it going.
What would the world do without these angels?! Thank God there is still some good left on Earth.
We’ve adopted two dogs from Coco’s Heart…amazing rescue organization!

All these volunteers and shelters are the bees knees !!! The absolute best ❣️💗❤️🥰🤗🐾✌️
I cried in sorrow thinking of their horrid lives and I cried gratitude & thankfulness for the volunteers who give it their all to save lives and bring joy to their lives. And thank YOU for bringing it to our attention. Writing from a sunny but cold South Carolina sea island.
BEAUTIFUL precious babies thank you every one fo your kindness and empathy ❤❤❤
OMG 😓, those poor babies. Thank you and God bless you for saving them!😊 I pray they end up with someone who will give them the love and care they deserve.🙏
May God bless all these people who helped the poor little animals 🙏🏼 ❤
I live in North Dakota and know our own shelters are overflowing with these dogs. Unfortunately they mostly come from the reservations. One of my own dogs was rescued from this same situation. I so appreciate these people for coming in and helping. We have the same issue with cats. I allow the stray cats in my neighborhood access to my garage which has a heater and give them food and water. The nationwide issue of homeless animals is out of control. We all need to do our part. Here in North Dakota with our winters they will die a horrible death without help.
Thank you for helping the defenceless animals. Very sad situation with the overpopulation of them all.
Yes overpopulation is real, but this goes for so called invasive lizards in Florida too! Praying people step up and help all animals!
So true, it is bad everywhere. Here they have the cold to deal with and there it is the opposite. Having the added issue of idiots thinking so called exotics are a good idea seems less than helpful. Forcing people to take responsibility is pretty frustrating.
@@Pam-ov1bv Im in N.Michigan. Our problem isnt Native Americans ,reservations breeding dogs. Its the AMISH farms n their Puppy Mills.
Thank you for what you do in caring for the animals!God bless...
Incredibly beautiful, dedicated humans with the kindest of hearts. Enough of us cannot be doing such - the need is beyond belief. Thank you!! To every person who is so-committed...
Great story🥰🥰❤

Praise God for the work you do 🙏🙏❤❤
PAWTASTIC, PAWMAZING, PAWTACULAR, PAWFECT, PAWSOME, PAWMENDOUS, PAWGEOUS!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Make Animals Great Again
Animals have always been great.. Its the humans that have sucked (i.e, exploited, dominated, and abused, throughout history. :/) Humans are definitely at the bottom of the evolutionary chain, in my view, based on the large number with black hearts and despicable violence towards innocents. Non humans animals do NOT do this.
You guys are boss !!! Love you all so very much 🐶💗
HOW CAN I HELP? MY SON LIVES IN NORTH DAKOTA 💙 😢
@@patriciajones7869 I live in North Dakota too. I made a longer comment you may be interested in. The best thing to do is if you can contribute to our local shelters they need help. If your son can foster a dog or cat that helps too. Having out of state shelters help is so appreciated. What area is your son in?
@Pam-ov1bv Fargo
Great story coverage! Well done !!
Dedication of so many great people. God bless all of you.
People who abandon dogs and do not neuter and spay and treat their animals irresponsibly are despicable. Humans feel they are so superior but actions like this show theyare really not worthy of this planet. Shame on all who let these dogs down and thank you so much to those who stepped up to rescue them.
Gteat job coco shelters
Poor babies!
I'm a foster fail already 💜🐕💜
Bless y'all. ❤
Wow Praise Jesus
OMG... GOB BLESS YOU!
LETS GO PEOPLE OF NORTH DAKOTA! OOORAH
It was the people of North Dakota that abandoned these dogs. They need to do better.
@wisepati123 well then... beauty is in the eye of the beholder I quess? Grass is always greener on the other side? Maybe? It all depends on your perspective? It's obviously obvious they need to do better! So WTF DID I JUST SAY? So if it's so obviously obvious they need to do better. Do i need to say "let's go people of N. Dakota, you need to do better? Cause you being a "wise" pati, OBVIOUSLY already know that!😊
#AdoptDontShop ❤🐾
JESUS CHRIST BLESS THIS SUFFERING SICK PUPPY, HEAL, GIVE THEM LOVING. CARING REAL HOME ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looked like the porcupine dog had cherry eye. Was he treated for that, too?
The one with quills all in its face and the problem with the eyes will those eye bulges go down or will they cause the dog to go blind or something.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤GLORIOUS❤❤❤❤❤❤
If they took all those dogs, will more show up there? If so, why? This is third world activity, having so many dogs in this shape. And it's shameful. MANY thanks to the rescuers, vets, anyone involved in helping them, and the adopters! You make the world a better place.
A lot of these dogs come from the reservations, and since they are resistant to neuter and spaying their animals, it will happen over and over. They also will send their horses off to slaughter when they get too many. I have really lost my respect for them.
😢😢😢 humans can be so horrible
I'm originally from ND, and I am very pissed off to read about this, I want to know who is behind this, and I will make sure whoever is will never even think of doing this again to dogs
Most of these dogs are from the reservations. They also let their horses over populate and simply ship them to slaughter, including mares and foals.
I blame ignorant indifferent people for this endless problem. What is wrong with them that they can’t see that they’re making things worse!
We need legislation to protect pet ownership in this country. If you rent, and millions do, many landlords make it very difficult to have a dog or cat. It should be a protected right to have at least one and not be price gouged.
Ma'am. I am a landlord. Own a dozen modest but nice houses in Ottawa county Michigan. Ive always allowed pets. But from yrs of renters who DID let their dogs, cats ruin woodwork, carpets n Especially the nice Lawns I provide? I insist on a Pet Deposit. Generally approx $300. If when you move ,,no damages? By an animal,,you get your $300 back. I font thinj that's too much to adk for.
These dogs are not abandoned from people who can’t afford rent. Most of these dogs are abandoned by the residence of reservations. The reservation folks will also round up horses and send them to slaughter. It is the irresponsibility of the people that is causing the problem.
@@wisepati123 Im in N.Michigan. Its not Native Americans here abandoning dogs. Its the Amish, seriously. They are reknowned for being huge backyard breeders.
I remember how mean these rescues were to potential adoptees such as myself during covid. What ever happened to news about getting your pets spayed, pets breeding is worse now then it was decades ago, but never a topic
I’m not sure what rescues you are talking about the ones I know have always been very careful and make sure that the homes are screened. A lot of dogs adopted during Covid have ended up back at the shelters once people went back to work. If you follow any of the shelter or rescue pages, you will see them harp on getting your dog spayed or neutered.
People don't talk about spay/neuter anymore, which is the only solution to the overpopulation problem. Too many unwanted pets thrown away like garbage, and it will only get worse in coming years.
There is a lot of talk about it on the rescue groups. Sometimes I feel we need to pay people to neuter and spay.. but in some places, there is a lot of cultural resistance to it, especially when men don’t want their male dogs neutered. These dogs from North Dakota often come from reservations, and it is my understanding thatthey simply round them up and destroy them when they get too many. I have read this over and over.
@@wisepati123 Ughh. I used to volunteer at a s/n clinic, we actually gave Walmart gift cards as incentive, free pet transport to/from the clinic and always free dog and cat food. Sad that you have to bribe people to be responsible for their own pets but it's for the animals and you do whatever works.
Thank goodness for good people. There certainly are plenty of bad ones.
If I said it to the dogs once, I said it to them a million times. "Leave those porcupines alone!"
Poor quill
Were the pups from around belcourt?
Poor pups. North Dakota, I bet they were from a reservation and just got dumped. Those people claim to love and cherish the land and creatures but they sure make a mess out of it and treat animals like trash.
Come on North Dakota you can do better than this! Shame on you North Dakota. Can't even take care of your own state.
Is it the whites or the Indians? Exactly. Its not ND but the reservation populations
Not to single out North Dakota, but why aren't they taking care of their stray dogs, spaying them, finding families, or at least picking them up themselves and sending them to places like Wisconsin. Why do Wisconsin rescues have to go in? I hope North Dakota is reimbursing them. (Yeah, right.)
Nothing Dakota pet owner here. Spay and nueter here costs up to 1000 dollars. Where I live, they only take cash up front for anything.
The shelters are full, and we have to pay up front.
With not even 2 million people here, there is lots of open space, so people bump them.
Most states do not have -50 degree weather coming in January and February. We do. So those who can foster as adoption is crazy here. Most landlords will not accept animals of any kind, and most people rent.
@@acahill4031wow, that makes a lot of sense. I live in California and to spay or neuter a dog on average is about a hundred dollars here, though for the one dog we adopted that needed it we only paid 40. Some places here will even do it free. I don’t think I could have had my dogs spayed and neutered at $1000 a pop. That’s crazy.
If we still have an issue with stray dogs here at an affordable operating price it’s sad but understandable why ND’s would be way worse. Also the weather thing makes a lot of sense too. I’m glad those dogs aren’t out there freezing to death.
Please don't send any dogs across the border to Kristi Noem.
Let me guess stray dogs on native reservations , we have that problem here to
I heard it was possible they were neglected by your mother
Yep
😍😍😍😍😍
Awww heckin scruffers
❤
Was the person who proofreads the thumbnails off?
There are 2 types of dogs. 1) Get poked by a porcupine & learn not to do that again. 2) Get poked by a porcupine & proceed to try to get even by attacking every porcupine they see! Let's hope that dog is the first type!
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ANGELS,.........😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Quill has Cherry Eye. He needs treatment.
🙏🇺🇸
Thumbnail spelled rescue wrong
Beautiful ❤❤ thank you
Heartbreaking to see this! Fur animals are rescued everyday and shelters are overrun with animals, many are put down due to too many of them YET still ALL fur animals have a chance at adoption and a family…
Not so…for lizards…hunted and murdered inhumanely in Florida, the lucky few finding their way into a shelter where they wait likely for good until their day of death in that same shelter…no one is coming. Ever.
Why are some animals destined to be “acceptable” pets while others are deemed “ unworthy” while others are deemed “disposable” and end up as dinner.
Our world is very sick, cruel and discriminatory.
I have lizards in my home no one wanted because many are special needs and I can attest after having lizards for 34 years…people are missing out. ALL animals matter! Spread the word! ❤🦎
I love lizards!!!! ❤❤
Why isnt anyone in ND doing something about this? They have to come from 500 miles away to catch stray dogs? Did everyone in ND lose their minds and give up their hunting rifles?

Goodness how heartbreaking 🥺 im glad they'll get the care they need tho 🙏
How pathetic
At least the governor there can’t get to them
Don’t be mean, why would you accuse her of vile acts, do you listen to the smears of the main stream media; be careful as you may be slandered in the future?!
And cats?
Hi Corrin!!! From a fan in Kingsburg, California
Mandatory chipping, spaying and neutering for North Dakota. Subsidized for low income owners.
