Another two plastics worth looking at are UHMWPE which is similar but even tougher than HDPE, the other is Derlin™ or POM Polyoxymethylene which is a high grade engineering plastic which is easy to machine.
Great test Nick. HDPE is pretty much indestructible. I have frame hit one in -20c and it just put a tiny dent on the corner. I hope that finger isn't keeping you from shooting brother. Heal fast and stay safe.

Thank you .. The finger has a long way to go yet , I cut the tendons, and they seem to be taking ages to heal.
