You Really missed the mark with this one. 1.The Xrp ledger is fully decentralized. 2. Opencoin created Xrp, it was gifted to Ripple. 3. Ripple doesn't get 1billion Xrp per month, they release 1 billion per month from their escrowed account, and what isn't sold from that amount, gets locked back into escrow. Xrp is a bridge asset, designed for cross border remittance. The fact that you're comparing it to a stable coin, shows that you have done very little research on xrp

I wasn't wondering before this video, but I certainly am now. This video is packed with misinformation and you guys clearly have a fundamental misunderstanding about both XRP and Ripple Labs. I'm sure it's difficult to track down the details for every project you want to make a video about, and then actually make a video about it, but it would be better that you don't make a video than to make an inaccurate/misinformed video.
I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt until I heard you say "The rest are given to Ripple Labs each month at a rate of around 1 billion Ripple per month." If your information can be so confidently given, and at the same time be so tremendously inaccurate... then I'm afraid to trust your other videos, Man.

yeah i enjoy his videos too, just watched this video and right off the top you got the story wrong. the creators of XRP later created the company ripple. this matters, cause ripple is being shown as bad actors by the US SEC and thats the opposite of the truth. stable coins are pegged to a fiat currency and were moving to a trustless system. your understanding of stable coins requires that the US dollar is trustworthy. stable coins will be like counterfeit money unless they can prove they are 1:1 backed. regardless of what stable coins are pegged too they will be priced on the open market and they need XRP to connect the world. its already all happening. MAKE a new video i love your show. this is my opinion and my suggestion to the whiteboard guy cause i love his explanations but i know from my own research that this whiteboard is inaccurate. ive learned from following the lawsuit against ripple that this is the way the community helps out in its own decentralised way. LOTS of people from all crypto communities have people that are uneducated but outspoken about things they dont even understand and these people are called maximalist and those type of people we dont listen to. I think it's obvious this channel is biased (negatively) towards XRP. The fact they call themselves the best channel giving advice on crypto, receive so many corrections in the comments and still choose to keep it up makes me feel the person was either paid, or they know EXACTLY what they are ding by keeping this up.
What is even MORE crazy is they have almost 600K subs. YIKES!!!
EDIT: In addition, I've watched the Shib, Matic and Chainlink videos and also read the comments on each video. NO WHERE NEAR as many people calling out misinfo in the comments which certainly raises eyebrows as to the agenda here
So I read some other comment confirming this about how this guy is inaccurate about XRP, so what channel would you suggest because he is very succinct and matter of fact, which can be quite dangerous and shows he probably is tied in, especially with all the subscribers.

The difference is that XRP and XLM are two different tokens, created and used by two different companies. Ripple (the company) existed first, and one of the co-founders of Ripple decided he wanted to attack the same problem (remittance payments around the world) but do it in a slightly different way. So he left Ripple and founded a new company called Stellar. His name, by the way is Jed McCaleb.
So, in a nutsack, they are two different tokens that are trying to accomplish the same things. Ripple and XRP came first, XLM came later.

- XRP is NOT a product of Ripple, the comparison with Apple makes no sense. XRP was created before Ripple the company even existed.
- RippleNet is a suite of products, xCurrent is just one of the products, that is a messaging system similar to SWIFT’s. RippleNet is NOT xCurrent and definitely doesn’t use any Unique Node List.
- The consensus mechanism that XRP’s blockchain (XRP Ledger) uses is based on the Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) model, there is no such thing as “Unique Node List” consensus, this is just a feature. - The Unique Node List (UNL) mechanism doesn’t mean it is centralized, it is an extra security measure, validators/nodes can create their own UNLs or choose the one they want to follow.
- You can’t understand why someone would want to contribute to the network without a reward?
This proves all the points that you haven’t done your research.
There are countless answers for this misinformation you provide, by misleading people to make bad decisions, shame on you!
- Stablecoins does NOT solve the problem Ripple is trying to solve with XRP. Which is using a neutral, jurisdictionless, trustless, and decentralized bridge currency with no counterpart risk. Most banks around the world are trying to go away from USD, and stable coins are just digital USD.

Every validator can set their own UNL and does not have to use Ripple's trusted default UNL. So it is not one set for all validators rather each validator can create their own list of UNLs.

- XRP is NOT a product of Ripple, the comparison with Apple makes no sense. XRP was created before Ripple the company even existed.

Validators get nothing for being validators? That seems ... odd. The only thing that might make sense is if banks joining the system are also required to act as validators. Otherwise, if there's no reward or incentive to run a node, this can only lead to corruption or bad actors since only those can think of making a profit off of being a node would in fact want to be.
Unlike POW or POS, you can choose the set of validators to validate your transactions... From what I understood from information online.
How can a stable coin do what XRP does? Does it use Ripplenet? In otherwords, do you think that JPM coin could be used instead of XRP?

It's over 300 partners , plus over 55% locked in a programmable escrow the release and buy back , instead of just burning in a wallet like other coins do ! And polysign is in charge of it, plus it's a smart contract that's probably irreversible so idk what you talking about....

For some back story, I’m new to crypto but I’ve been trying to learn more about it and I had a chance encounter with an old classmate recently that has me interested in possibly actually investing in it for the first time. He was a bank teller who claims to have made millions from crypto and retired now and it seems legit but the number 1 thing he was saying to me was to buy XRP. He was so enthusiastic about it that it almost sounded crazy but I know he’s a good guy. He was just practically pleading with me to buy it ASAP because he is 100% POSITIVE that this thing is going to explode within a month and it can turn my life around forever like it did for him. I know how people can be though so I haven’t yet but I know him personally and could really use a miracle so I want to believe it but I’m just trying to learn as much as I can first.

Remitly uses Ripple platform via Cross-River bank. I always use them. Before I could check my bank account overseas, the money was already deposited into my account. The speed was mindblowing. And the price $3.50.
