Its still hard to seal with when they do things, but I dont have all the anger coming with how i have to deal with it.. thanks To Him, I can pray over my parents alot better, and with love, and sometimes.. sorrow.

    Thanks for the teaching! Also, I’ve considered how our spiritual father and mother, Abraham and Sarah, represented God’s commands, so by saying “ honor your Father and mother”, He’s saying, remember and do my commands your spiritual father and mother gave you, so it will be well with you…same command as He gave previously, just framed a little differently, maybe? So often, blood parents aren’t godly examples, but when we are a part of Israel, we all have godly parents in Abraham and Sarah. Shalom from Cleveland, TN!

    I call the 5th commandment the "hinge" commandment. It sums up our devotion to God and precedes, or lays down a foundation to our relationship with others. This is shown in Malachi 1:6 "A son honoureth [his] father, and a servant his master: if then I [be] a father, where [is] mine honour?" If we don't truly honor God with our total being, then how can we honor our earthly parents? and vice versa...

  • @TheLonga50
    @TheLonga50 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow, what a story, pity our son is dishonoring me and his mother and has done for moving into 6 months now, something very trivial made him stay away from his parents while his mother weeps frequently lost as to why he does this, it will see us to our dying day, and granddaughter is kept away too because of this, we won't be around forever.

    • @christbasedhealing
      @christbasedhealing 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your son has decided to stay away from you (and keep his daughter away from you too) then what you are calling "trivial" is not trivial to him. Perhaps he is waiting for you to acknowledge that the "trivial" thing you did was wrong and apologize? Have you done that? As a Christian, you're supposed to confess and repent of your sins. Have you genuinely apologized and made a commitment to not do that "trivial" thing again? I imagine this isn't what you want to hear, but as someone who's been very hurt by her parents, all I want, is to see genuine repentance. My parents also refuse to acknowledge that their behavior was wrong because in their mind they believe that what happened was "trivial" and not a big deal, but I assure you, it was a big deal to me. If you love your son and you want to have a relationship with him, eat your pride and apologize. Take the time to see the situation from his point of view and whatever his grievance is - make a commitment to stop that behavior. I think you'd be surprised at how quickly he'd forgive you and let you back into his life if he saw REAL remorse and a COMMITMENT to change on your part (just like how God forgave you when He saw real sorrow and repentance towards Him). God bless you and good luck. I pray your family is united again.
      (P.S Tina Gilbertson’s The Reconnection Club Podcast, is a great resource if you want help understanding your son’s point of you and how to repair your relationship with him). th-cam.com/video/MGQCT7Ml1ps/w-d-xo.html

    6/21/10 From The Lord, Our God and Savior
    The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
    For The Lord’s Little Flock, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear
    Beloved, hear Me, says The Lord. Understand love and know mercy, then go and do justly as you walk humbly with your God, sharing all I have given you with everyone you meet. For again I say to you: This Word, even every Volume to every Letter, is the Word of My glory which I have put forth once again; a testament of My love and sacrifice, the announcement of My coming, a proclamation of truth, revelation of who I really am - the Trumpet Call of God, so all those called and chosen may hear and come to Me in their proper time and season.
    And if they turn away or fight against you, pray for them. For they know not the valley in which they tread, nor do they understand they are walking into death; for they have yet to grasp the full weight of their error. Thus those who rebel against Me, and speak evil of you because of Me, shall surely receive of My strong rebuke - judgment at the time appointed. Therefore, warn them from Me. And in doing so shall you understand love and know mercy, and do justly. For this is to love your enemies, to bless those who curse you, and to do good to those who hate you.
    My sons and daughters, it is time
    To love your neighbor as yourself...
    For only a wicked man would neglect
    His own people, only an evil man would fail
    To warn his neighbor, and only a sluggard
    Would sleep while holding the trumpet...
    Only a man meet for death would fail
    To warn the people, when the sword
    Is about to overtake the land...
    Says The Lord.

    We went to his feast of tabernacles for the year of 2023. We had a family emergency come up and his version of handling her emotions was to lock my sister who is a minor in a room with grown men and called a mediation to help her deal with her emotions. She was locked in this room and wasn't allowed to leave or call anyone. She was in these interagation for hours and wasn't even let out to eat. If this is there idea of handling an emergency situation I don't know want to imagine how out of hands things could have gotten. This was before he excersized her in front of the entire congregation because he accused her of being gay. Notice how there are recordings for all the days except day 6, its because they had recorded the exorcism and didn't want to post it. There so called security took was more aware of the traffic than the wear about of the children and the medics didn't even have a bandaid on them. This comment isn't to spread hate but to raise awareness that not everyone that preaches in the name of YAWEH is doing his work and this man is one of them.

    (sorry about my Eng, its not native) Some question about Paleo Hebrew and its origin... as I know its a copy of Phoenician writing. Writing is a privilege of bigger civilization. Hebrews as slaves in Egypt wasn't so to have own writing, so they inherit and adapt popular trading language... I saw comparison table paleo hebrew and phoenician... and original phoenician have different meanings of images. I prefer not use Paleo hebrew as argument for any explanation but I like how you did it and also I was learn it and use it in same kind of way when preparing some teachings in the past years... What do you think about it? I come to conclusion that we can easily don't use it (while I don't see such technique of preaching in apostles texts), and prefer use more simple words that don't need long explanations...

    Matthew 15:3 And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves also break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother [Exodus 20:12],’ and, ‘The one who speaks evil of father or mother is to be put to death [Exodus 21:17].’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to father or mother, “Whatever I have that would help you has been given God,” 6 he is not to honor his father.’ And you have invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you, by saying: 8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. 9 And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men [Isaiah 29:13].’” (NASB)
    Deuteronomy 27:26 “ ‘Cursed is anyone who does not fulfill the words of this Law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ “ (NASB)
    Matthew 5:18 “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away [Revelation 21], not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!“ (NASB)

    He said regardless of how they treated you, lol... that's some crazy man made rules 🙄 What about Parents who have physically, sexually and emotionally abuse their children. There are some very evil parents out there. Some would even traffic or sell their own kids too. Incase Christians forgot, abuse is evil. God teaches us to LOVE one another and anyone who abuses others should NOT be honored. God didn't say to honor evil. Evil is supposed to be reproved. The Bible says to pray for wisdom and understanding. Only the good parents should be honored. Be wise.

    • @PassionForTruthVideo

      We are always so grieved to hear of such extremes. We should never have to ask ourselves what honor looks like in this situation. But sadly, in this broken world. We do. We recognize that honor does not and can not always look a certain way. In some circumstances, you have to completely disconnect with abusive people. All we can do is be willing to allow God to be the judge and bring vengeance or people to repentance.

    This is absolutely terrible you totally gloss over the fact that there are a lot of people out there that have very abusive and dangerous parents, I believe that there is a clear biblical definition of what a parent is. And when that parent breaks that biblical oath they disavow being a parent.

  • @davidfields4981
    @davidfields4981 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    To honor your parents means exactly what it says. It also means honoring the greatest Father, GOD. One example that a person can dishonor their parents is by marrying someone who your parents or ancestors would not approve of, such as a White Woman marrying a Black Man. That act dishonors their parents, and grandparents and all of your ancestors. GOD told his people, the ones he gave the commandments to, not to intermarry with the Canaanites, Jebusites, Hittites , and other races of people in the land of Canaan. ( So calling me a racist is meaningless to me. I follow GOD, not man)

    • @PassionForTruthVideo
      @PassionForTruthVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Brother, I think you have a good point there, however, it's not about a race or skin color, but to remain inside the people of God. Since there is no more bloodline to be followed and all israelites come from the Faith in Yeshua, we shouldn't make exceptions of people because all could come to Christ and become Israelite by faith.
      I also believe, that when the Messiah comes again, He will teach us all these things and help us become as He expects us to be.
