I kinda felt lgbtq people had just been living their lives but then suddenly a couple years ago, they made themselves a target for pushback and the legislation getting passed now. They did this by turning their attention on exposing children to things they are not ready for. They pushed all ages drag shows that are NOT appropriate for children. They push for gender affirming care without question for children who are completely incapable of understanding the lifelong implications. They whine about a book with explicit sexual content being banned from schools. They think it’s ok for teachers to have sexually inappropriate conversations with their students (akin to grooming). It’s not the entire community obviously, but far more members of that community need to stand up, speak up LOUDLY and fight back because these people are taking the normal ones down with them.

Not feeling comfortable in your own skin is part of puberty and growing up and going thru that experience as an adolescent. Cutting off body parts and altering these kids’ lives is so wrong. There were days I felt different all the time and you know what it all turned out just fine. I believe a majority of these kids when they’re adults will regret this decision.
Exactly I had mostly friends that were boys growing up and so obviously I felt out of place and at some points wished I was a boy. I am so glad my parents saw it for what it really was, a child wanting to be more like her peers. I am now a grown woman married to a man and have 4 children. My children would have never existed if my parents fell for this insanity and medically destroyed my body.

Around 1:41:00 The point was raised by Harleigh Walker that she wouldn't feel safe to play in a boys team, and that's "even more scary". This is perhaps the most important response of this hearing for me. It highlights that for this trans-person she is willing to place her discomfort above and as more important and more intense than Riley's (and other women's) discomfort. There's no way she could know that would be worse, she herself admits she is not an athlete at all and doesn't have that experience. Because of this, she is saying that for this to be fair she must be able to be on the woman's team. So rather than a single person being discomforted, many people should be for the sake of that person. This, to me, highlights to narcissism that is at the core of this issue clearer than anything else I've ever previously heard or seen.

A better choice would be to mandate that any trans individuals should compete in the male division. Also why not open the male division to allow women to compete there too if they want to give it a try. I don't have any problem with anyone trying to compete in the male division as I think that if there is a woman out there who can compete at the male level then they would love to gain the financial benefits associated with the higher viewership.

Just make a trans-men sports league, and a trans-women sprots league. Have your weight divisions in each (where it's necessary to subdivide by weight) Its not a dishonour to trans people to give them their own platform... We just cant rob others of theirs to do so.
I don't agree. There simply isn't enough of a base of trans-athletes. The solution is simple, have sports be based on biology. Biological males play with biological males, biological females play with biological females. Gender has nothing to do with the sport itself apart from the physical differences between males and females. Whatever you "identify" as shouldn't matter when it comes to sports. This is the simplest, and correct solution.

For me it is hard to understand how people cannot take responsibility for their choices. We make choices everyday and we have to grow to take responsibility for our choices. Riley Gaines took the responsibility of sacrificing her social life for performance in sports. What message do we send to our young children if we let Thomas unpunished for public exposure and harassment? That if you are an under-performer and a looser, you can always leech on somebody else to get in front, in this case, young women. It is absolutely insane. I don't mind transgender people, I don't care what they do in their private lives. But I cannot accept having my daughter being exposed to male genitalia without her consent. It is absolutely insane. And the comparison with unisex toilets is absolutely outrageous. You can lock that unisex toilet and have privacy, nobody will see you while taking a dump, no matter what you are on the gender spectrum. But having a naked male together with 40 naked women in the same room without those women's consent it beats every dimension of common sense. I understand the LGBTQ+.... community is being harassed and discriminated, but there is absolutely no reason to pick on the whole population. Every person in this world was vulnerable at some point in their life and it is part of life, but being resentful on those who don't have the problems that you have is sickening for the whole society. Advocating for acceptance is one thing, but advocating for having young women sit naked next to naked men without their consent is horrible.

Our school board voted 2 years ago that we would not allow anyone not born a girl to play on our girl’s sports teams and we will not play any team that allows boys to play on girls teams. We do not care what a judge might say. We pay for the teams and the girls are our children. Hence we make those decisions. Three of our surrounding counties have followed suit and we will not be forced to do that which we know is morally wrong. Not by anyone.

This is a great display of true equality. It's not about discouraging people based on gender or identity, but acknowledging that we are different and that there should be parameters for us to work and compete on equal footing. This also goes to show the little preparation trans activists have. The people here don't take a side and refuse responsibility. "I'm not X professional" shouldn't even be an excuse in a hearing. It’s the way things are done though. In order for a minority group to feel equal everything has to be about them. It’s an interesting mentality don’t you think? Like no one asks my pronouns, orientation, or anything else and I don’t volunteer it. I just go about my day and treat everyone with respect. But some people’s life story has to be part of their introduction when you meet them.

As someone who has been sexually assaulted by a man, the last thing I want is men in female locker rooms, bathrooms, or any safe female space for that matter. I just wrote on this as I finished watching the video and I'm reading the comments now... it was do demonic for me, that he said, protect hers and (by that women's rights) on account somebody else's, "we have to find other way", when in reality he and this group of people are taking hers rights and women's rights on for somebody else! That they are doing it the other way around. And in this case as it was already women's rights, they don't have the right to mess up with it for somebody else and have to fing other way for the other group! The problem is, that trans want the women's rights and don't care, that women are losing it.

I kinda felt lgbtq people had just been living their lives but then suddenly a couple years ago, they made themselves a target for pushback and the legislation getting passed now. They did this by turning their attention on exposing children to things they are not ready for. They pushed all ages drag shows that are NOT appropriate for children. They push for gender affirming care without question for children who are completely incapable of understanding the lifelong implications. They whine about a book with explicit sexual content being banned from schools. They think it’s ok for teachers to have sexually inappropriate conversations with their students (akin to grooming). It’s not the entire community obviously, but far more members of that community need to stand up, speak up LOUDLY and fight back because these people are taking the normal ones down with them.

Around 1:41:00 The point was raised by Harleigh Walker that she wouldn't feel safe to play in a boys team, and that's "even more scary". This is perhaps the most important response of this hearing for me. It highlights that for this trans-person she is willing to place her discomfort above and as more important and more intense than Riley's (and other women's) discomfort. There's no way she could know that would be worse, she herself admits she is not an athlete at all and doesn't have that experience. Because of this, she is saying that for this to be fair she must be able to be on the woman's team. So rather than a single person being discomforted, many people should be for the sake of that person.
This, to me, highlights to narcissism that is at the core of this issue clearer than anything else I've ever previously heard or seen.

I don't agree. There simply isn't enough of a base of trans-athletes. The solution is simple, have sports be based on biology. Biological males play with biological males, biological females play with biological females. Gender has nothing to do with the sport itself apart from the physical differences between males and females. Whatever you "identify" as shouldn't matter when it comes to sports. This is the simplest, and correct solution.

For me it is hard to understand how people cannot take responsibility for their choices. We make choices everyday and we have to grow to take responsibility for our choices. What message do we send to our young children if we let Thomas unpunished for public exposure and harassment? That if you are an under-performer and a looser, you can always leech on somebody else to get in front, in this case, young women. It is absolutely insane. I don't mind transgender people, I don't care what they do in their private lives. But I cannot accept having my daughter being exposed to male genitalia without her consent. It is absolutely insane. And the comparison with unisex toilets is absolutely outrageous. You can lock that unisex toilet and have privacy, nobody will see you while taking a dump, no matter what you are on the gender spectrum. But having a naked male together with 40 naked women in the same room without those women's consent it beats every dimension of common sense. I understand the LGBTQ+.... community is being harassed and discriminated, but there is absolutely no reason to pick on the whole population. Every person in this world was vulnerable at some point in their life and it is part of life, but being resentful on those who don't have the problems that you have is sickening for the whole society. Advocating for acceptance is one thing, but advocating for having young women sit naked next to naked men without their consent is horrible.

In a Senate hearing to discuss potential legislative changes on such a huge and complicated issue, the Democrats seriously used a 16 year old and used the testimony of “transitioning is hard,” as an actual attempt to sway their side of the argument 🤦♂️
Are you seriously saying that the experience of a transgender teenager isn’t relevant to the conversation about transgender people being discriminated against? Trans youth are being targeted by governments all over the country, of course they should have their experience represented.

It’s an interesting mentality don’t you think? Like no one asks my pronouns, orientation, or anything else and I don’t volunteer it. I just go about my day and treat everyone with respect. But some people’s life story has to be part of their introduction when you meet them.

It is insane to me that we are even having this discussion. The fact that women have to fight to not be exposed to male genitalia in a female space is absolutely sickening! As someone who has been sexually assaulted by a man, the last thing I want is men in female locker rooms, bathrooms, or any safe female space for that matter. This whole trans movement has been nothing but a slap in the face to women.
Just when I thought that I could finally overcome my anxieties and start going out into the public alone again, this ridiculous misogynistic movement proved I couldn't. I can't go to the gym and feel safe, to the pool and feel safe, a public bathroom and feel safe, or even express why it makes me feel unsafe without ridicule.
As a mother of a daughter, I refuse to stay silent on how damaging all this is to women and young girls!

This shows exactly how disingenuous some of these people testifying are, let this sink in.. a medical doctor, one who went to a lot of school and did a lot of studying and who works in a hospital is unable to say whether men have a biological advantage over women when it relates to sports.. let that sink in. In my opinion, that alone shows me that you're not there in good faith, rather to further some agenda. I would have had so much more respect for her if she just admitted the obvious truth. Instead, she said she's not a sports medical professional.
That's what really disappoints me with these types of hearings. How smart people are unwilling to state obvious truths and dodge questions just because it may go against their agendas. If you're unwilling to confirm the most basic of truths then that makes me question your entire testimony. It really shows just how much your agenda will skew what you say and how you say it. For a medical professional, that is seriously disappointing.

Lastly, I find it ironic the transgender side claims the right of the parents to provide such life altering procedures to their children while also claiming parents don’t have the right to control what schools are teaching their children. Sad times in which we live where the left:
1. Advocates for men to invade women’s spaces as “transgender” while actively working to deconstruct “the patriarchy”.
2. Advocates for life altering permanent medical procedures to performed on children that are elective.
3. Advocates for protecting one class of people while that one class of people commit hate crimes with impunity.
Parents speaking with doctors to decide on medical care for their children only affects their children. Parents trying to get schools to conform to their political agenda affects all children in the school, far beyond their own children.

The doctor explains gender affirming care as if it were such a normal thing. They always sugar coat it but what they really mean is "we chemically castrate the child to help them with their transition".
Which by the way, those are kids, they haven't figured therselves out and you want to go along with this. These kids need a proper psychologist, not consume chemicals that will affect them forever.

The Dr. on the panel doesn't deal with any mental issues children may be having. She just accepts what they are telling her at face value. Kids can be greatly confused during adolescence and may need physiological intervention.

I just wrote on this as I finished watching the video and I'm reading the comments now... it was do demonic for me, that he said, protect hers and (by that women's rights) on account somebody else's, "we have to find other way", when in reality he and this group of people are taking hers rights and women's rights on for somebody else! That they are doing it the other way around. And in this case as it was already women's rights, they don't have the right to mess up with it for somebody else and have to fing other way for the other group! The problem is, that trans want the women's rights and don't care, that women are losing it.
This is just ridiculous. The fact that there's even a hearing about this. America has gotten too comfortable and wealthy that they actually argue about this. If we ever get put into a situation where surviving alone is a struggle like in 3rd world countries, this'd all go away.

As an LGBT person, I stand with Riley Gaines. I believe there should be a separate category for Transgender individuals regarding sports.
