- Path of Exile 3.24 Necropolis introduced a new life stacking body armour in The Apostate, a rare Uber Cortex-exclusive drop. This new unique body armour makes maximum energy shield gained from equipped armour items be gained as maximum life instead, which turns some previously ignored items into interesting options. This video explores synergies with this new body armour in regards to the helmet slot in particular.

If/when I find the affliction amulet in SSF, I’m making a life stacker.
Sitting at level 83 and about 18k HP with a very poorly rolled adorned (50% gang). Relic Of The Pact is probably my favorite unique and I can comfortably say I'm sitting pretty at about 6.6m dps at the moment, with plenty of room for improvement, projected PoB has me at about 30k hp with a 126 adorned (my next upgrade hopefully), and that'll set me up to about 66m dps with impales, and a juicy cull from taking a slayer forbidden flesh/flame

I love those gloves, they are so good
I’ve only found one set of phrecia corpses and it was before they changed the corruption implicit corpse to be unable to brick the item. And, of course mine rolled bricked.

Maw of Conquest has been pretty damn serviceable with my Apostate settup while I had Petrified blood. Massive recoup, very respectable life boost and unaffected by poison.
Maw is an interesting one for sure, I think it's particularly strong with Dissolution + PB combo where the Recoup and unaffected by poison stats have massive value

Played one of those combos basically last league with warlock of the mists. Was a healthstacking berserker with mask of the spirit drinker that used flamelinks on slashing horrors, lasthitting with culling strike power syphon. Would love to give that build another try with the buffed spectre helmet and the new link support gloves. Probably on scion (was never sure if rage eff3ct on slashing horrors tripled, i think not)
Sadly slashing horror spectres are gone i think.
It makes me think of those Crucible'd Emperor's Vigilance shields with preposterously high energy shield. Surely that must be something that happens in Standard?
I would be interested to see what kinda of ridiculous amounts of life people are able to achieve in standard with legacy gear
only sad thing is bloodthirst applies to weapon attacks, not shield so sst and stuff can't be scaled with life :(
personally the most fun for me with this thing is just making a build in standard with a heap of legacy ES gear which i think i have glove\helm\shield\boots that ive keep up to date with legacy crafts since ES gear mods went legacy. as a degenerate collector I just kept a set sort of really nice and like when harvest came back i perfected the suffix etc
I'd love to see how much life you can reach with legacy gear
Only ever seen relic of the pact full sending with red sockets to maximize health stacking else most build seem to be using the chest + defiance to provide "tankiness"
You can safely corrupt all items with a 30% beast if they are still a thing.
One caveat on the video : necropolis crafting is not crafting, it's gambling
Most crafts tend to range from 1/2 to at worst 1/10, that can be achieved at around 10 to 15divs a pop, it so much cheaper and deterministic than any other crafting I’ve ever seen

This is cool and all, but what main damage skills would you even use with these setups? Curious
Some options include Relic of the pact(blood sacrement), Dark pact, Burning arrow of vigour, any spell with sacrifice support, any spell scaled with rathpith, attacks w/ bloodthirst support
So Pob doesn't have the item as an option for w/e reason, second dissolution of the flesh (unless poe is broken for it) doesn't work with the apostate
Yeah I'm not sure why Apostate hasn't been added yet, but you can manually import it, the modifier is active in PoB since Affliction's Warlock had it. PoB is likely broken with Dissolution as it's removing ES baseline - the reason that it works with Apostate is because the modifier isn't ES to Life conversion, it's gain Life instead of ES, unless 350+ characters using that combo on poe.ninja are cooked, I believe it works
Did you ever make a build for the last video?
I talked about that at the end of the video - I ripped my 2nd char of the league whilst farming gear for it but realised it needs some pretty high end gear to be good(like synth max charge rings which are ~100d in HC trade) so I'm rerolling a different build and may get to making it later in the league

I dont get why would you want Malachais vision with Apostate when you dont have any ES to regen? What am I missing?
Unlike Crimson Power from last league, you can still actually have ES with the Apostate, so you can use Corrupted Soul to gain a huge amount of ES scaling from your life total

Does reduction to mana cost behave differently than other reductions? 100% reduced should be half and 100% less should be 0. Quite weird since they are usually strict with the wording. There even exists a less mana cost modifier in Sactuary of Thought
100% reduction is the same as 100% less, the difference being that reduction is additive(with other sources of the same stat) and less is multiplicative, so less naturally cannot reach 100% unless it's 100% less gained from a single modifier. You may be thinking of mechanics such as reservation efficiency or cooldown recovery rate? Those mechanics are designed specifically that stacking is providing diminishing returns
I think you may be getting mixed up with how reservation efficiency scales (100% increased efficiency is 50% of the normal reservation). A net value of 100% reduced will always make something 0.

My choice is crown of the inward eyes, it have some ES which is converted to flat life, increased life, and of course the increased dmg scaling with increased life you have. seems pretty good, granted that it's not as much life as other choices
This is a decent option for attack builds(likely playing with bloodthirst support), otherwise it's not great since transfiguration of body only applies its damage increase to attacks

New build idea, Elementalist + burning arrow of vigour. I'm looking for an alternative to the burning arrow of vigor skill, but I can't find anything that scales with life.🥲
Yeah it's pretty much just that, Dark Pact and Bodyswap. You can scale other things through life stacking though via Bloodthirst Support or Sacrifice Support
