Metroid Prime, Mega Man Collection vols. 1&2, Mega Man X Collection vols. 1&2, Mega Man ZX Collection, Mega Man Battle Network Collection, Samurai Shodown Collection… None of these were released in 2024, but they make the Switch an awesome retro console. Castlevania Collection(s), TMNT Collection, Contra Collection… I could truly play the Switch until my fingers fall off.
I expected a light year full of ports and remasters until the Switch 2 came out, but then it turns out the Switch 2 was supposedly delayed. I expected a horrible year at that point and February's lack of a Direct made me pretty concerned. Things turned out better than expected though. The TTYD remake was everything I hoped for, and we still got some great new titles like Echoes of Wisdom, Mario and Luigi Brothership, and the best Mario Party in years. Plus we also had Princess Peach Showtime, Emio The Smiling Man, and remakes of Mario vs Donkey Kong and a remaster of Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Game wise, it was pretty decent. Marketing wise, this was a pretty frustrating year. We only had one Direct all year, and even though it was a great one and we FINALLY got Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, it still frustrated me to see no Direct in February and September. Especially September because they could have filled that Direct with updates for Zelda, Mario Party, Splatoon 3's Grand Festival, Mario & Luigi, Donkey Kong, Xenoblade, and Nintendo Music. Plus they've really been dragging their feet on the Switch 2 reveal. On top of all of that, Pokemon STILL hasn't said anything about Pokemon Legends Z-A after nearly a year. Its been a very frustrating year on this front. Overall, I'd say it was an okay year for the Switch. Better than 2020 and 2018, but nowhere near as good as 2023, 2017, or 2022.

I noticed you didn't discuss my personal favourite Nintendo thing in 2024, the NSO Playtest Program, although I don't blame you as with the restrictions on discussion of the experience you'd literally have absolutely nothing to talk about in relation to it 😆
It was totally fine, there were a good number of games from Nintendo and most of them were good, it's just missing a GOTY caliber game that most Nintendo years have at least one, but that doesn't make the other good games not matter or anything. And also third party on Switch I'd say was quite strong.
First year my switch collected dust besides maybe 2 games, PS5 was my main this year. Understandable since we are on the verge of a new console reveal.
Mortal Kombat 1 is leagues better than it was at launch, they've improved it dramatically since then. I wonder if when Nintendo acquired Shiver, they shared some insider knowledge to help improve the game. It's a little misinformed to say that it's still terrible, guys.

Not Nintendo's strongest year. I mostly replayed old games. My top played were Final Fantasy, Hades, and Story of Seasons. I did like Echoes of Wisdom and I'm playing Brothership now, and both of those games are fine, but also, not the strongest offering in those franchises.
They didn't put an age rating on Palworld even though it's too violent for children, because they think it's like Pokemon. Yet they put an age rating on Balatro because they think it's like Poker, man.
Between 2024 and 2025, I'd the Switch wasn't worth it for me cause I only got my Switch just to enjoy arcade and rhythm games, not to mention Persona and Danganronpa games as well. All this Nintendo stuff is too much kid stuff for me... at least that's why I'm no longer a Nintendo fan, Mario fan and Sonic fan cause it's all too damn true. I may have a couple years left with my V2 Switch before I move on to PS5. And don't even think about me getting a PC or Xbox cause I'm not interested in buying either one.
2024 wasn't the best for Nintendo because it was the best for PlayStation, but maybe this means that 2025 is going to be the best for Nintendo. In my opinion 2024 was just good for Nintendo with these nice Switch exclusives and Switch games that are on other platforms too: Prince of Persia the Last Crown, Penny's Big Breakaway, Princess Peach Showtime, Snufkin Melody of Moominvalley, TMNT Splintered Fate, Paper Mario TTYD HD Remake, The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Antonblast and Sonic X Shadow Generations thank you for a good year of 2024 (Fearless year of Shadow), merry christmas and a happy new SWITCH 2 year 2025 everyone: Here we goo WAHOO! 😊❤

Another Code Recollection is a remake of the 2 Another Code games. I never play the first one on DS, while I played the sequel on the Wii (Another Code R) and enjoyed it, it was a great experience and I know the game-design is quite different from the first game (side scroller instead of top-down view, heavy on wiimote gameplay, the visual novel style dialogues more stylished...). I'm quite dissapointed with the remake, mostly because how they reworked the second game. By making 2 games in 1, they cut a lot from Another Code R's narrative. Cutscenes from the original Wii game are missing due the story being different. I didn't enjoyed the plot twist about Ryan, if it's was to avoid to have a "Bill 2.0", this is dumb. The thing I did enjoy was the gameplay to play Ashely in a 3D environnement, this was so great but so much limited, it would have been greet to have more locations than just the ones from the original games. About Mario Vs Donkey Kong: It's fine. Not the remake I was hoping, but this is the first official entry and the most popular I guess. The only thing is being a 1:1 remake now just in 3D, it may sound boring. I was hoping for a remake of Donkey Kong 94, the true first entry to the Mario Vs Donkey series on the original Game Boy. It would have been perfect since Pauline is now a Mario-established character along side Rosalina. Endless Ocean Luminous is a joke. Like Nintendo gave no budget to Arika to make this game, when the Endless Ocean Wii games are way way way more ambitious (story with actual characters and original locations to explore). Otherwise, Nintendo's 2024 lineup was OK-tier, but not the most interesting for sure. About third-part games, Unicorn Overlord is my favorite Switch game of 2023.
Maybe because I never played the original games, which is why I like Another Code Recollection but while I liked the story of the first game, I didn’t like the second one as much when Ashley was older, it just felt half arsed and didn’t have much of a flushed out story, I like Mario vs Donkey Kong which I know is another remake as well as Paper Mario I was gonna get the Luigi‘s mansion 2HD remake but I don’t think I’m gonna bother getting it now and I haven’t played my switch as much since I’ve got a PS5 now.

Very few people are using Nintendo music, this may be shocking, but most people don't want to listen to Nintendo music in everyday life.

I'm so tired of ppl talking about a stupid card game
Heck naw
