Parker, I appreciate your knowledge and history on chevys, I was an origional terrable towel waving steelers fanatic in the late 70's and a pirate fanatic I sang we are family every chance i had.t. My home team, the new orleans saints were called the 'aints and fans wore paper bags on their heads so it was hard to be a fan when your teams record is 1-15, Plus the pirates hat was unique from all other mlb teams hats. Your hat reminded me of some great memories, WHO DAT LOL

    I had a 65 Chevelle SS with a 327 4bbl and a 4 speed from 1967-70. Loved that car!

Super cool. Beautiful car. Used to own a Canadian 66 Malibu SS, 327, with a powerglide. Sure wish I still had it.

1965 Chevelle Super Sport came with 283 Small Block Power glide a 10 bolt rear and factory AC. I had one all original 40 years ago .Swapped it for a 66 Impala SS Convertable 283 with a power glide. Wish I had kept both of them

Be nice to see it all fixed up. Sorry about his dad. I almost got a used 64 off a Chevy dealer in Pgh 50yrs ago. Turquoise color (common color) something fell thru, not sure. I DID get a used 71 Malibu ten yrs later, w/a 307 but made it look like an SS. So u can fix to your own pocketbook/taste! 👍

Front grille must have been replaced somewhere along the line. SS grilles were blacked out on the top and bottom with just the center section left as chrome.

You're confusing that with the big block model. Factory SS 396 had the blacked out grill.
