Nope, I am trying to build a custom case to fit her. I have a lot of trouble assembly her into the base too, it was a pain in the butt. I actually got her for a lot cheaper thanks to Buyee 20% coupon, and credit card reward. I ended up paying more for the shipping cost than the figure itself.
You joke, but I've actually seen ads for sex dolls that look real and they can make them look like any anime character and it doesn't have the uncanny valley effect surprisingly. IDK if it's a scam but I can see it being real as two decades ago they used to have figurines with "lifelike" boobs that squished and had "real" texture and stuff. So for $1k you could get your waifu IRL instead of a plastic statue. Which TBH, think about how much money you spent dating your wife, the sex doll cost is like nothing in comparison. Probably would be cheaper for a single guy than even a few one night stands, lol.
Gives rise to branches and new or old companies splitting off, some of the big names are Animester. Bearpanda and Elcoco (branch of Design Coco) Design coco has a bit of a name, they are the ones doing the 1/7 Gawr Gura Hololive scale.(although Kotobukiya would've been nice too as they've already got some of them) Bearpanda and Elcoco has some "prize" scales from anywhere at 2800 yen to 9000 yen, crazy right? Edit: They are OC though, no licensed names.
It does feel like there are more 1/7ths and 1/6ths being made at a higher quality, but when they're all like that, it really looks like prices just keep going up.
I canceled my pre-order for this figure because of the first production version figure that I saw on my Spring trip to Japan, it was on display at Kara. All the same issues that you pointed out, were there in that version.
Honestly very valid advice for this figure; she is just not worth it and hopefully your wallet is doing okay especially with all of the recent Arknights figures and the delay for the Skadi Corrupting Heart figure getting delayed... I have also got a few bnuuy figures recently and they are all nice but I do agree with Freeing being the only 1/4th figure manufacturer to be a bit rough. Hope that cut went well I too hate blister packaging a ton.
Thanks for showcasing her! Yeah, honestly, FREEing didn't really live up to the expectations and price of this one. I was hoping their inflated price would yield higher quality, but that's not really turning out to be the case. I still like her, and she's incoming, but she's not all she could have been which is sad. I have a lot more confidence in APEX's NJ oath and future Mimeyoi 1/4 offerings, and my confidence in FREEing has severely dropped.
That pole will put a lot of stress on her arm, base on how you need to flex the pole just for it to go in the base, I recommend you change out the pole for some more flexible metal to not run into risk of her arm get sheer off
I love how you are warning us about things when putting the figure together as if any of us will ever have the money to even dream of getting the figure lmao
I don't even know why youtube is recommending these sort of videos to me I have no need for this I'm just getting click baited by the "this is the best figurine" and "this figurine is so expensive"
I could never buy a figure that's 700+ and it's literally ONLY a bunny girl figure. For that price I would want all the battleship gear that's iconic to Azur lane. Should also be absolutely gigantic like god damn.
I’ve been waiting for this video. 😅As someone who also bit the $700ish dollar bullet for her. 100% agree with everything. Mine has damage to the hair where here pony tail comes out but thankfully the hair piece flat out hides it. I wanted to like that figure and I mostly do, but when you pay that much money for anything it needs to be completely flawless and this one just isn’t. $700 would be a holy grail figure for almost any collector. Instead it sits on top of my detolf because I don’t even have a great display for her 😂 Great video as always Ken. Here’s to a year where hopefully our wallets suffer less
The only time I've ever thought it'd be worth it to pay that kind of price was for the Ghost Bride figure by GSC and Fuzichoco. That thing looks jaw dropping, practically art given physical form. Not a giant figure of a shapely woman posing provocatively in a play boy outfit that looks like a hundred other figures. But then again, I love traditional East Asian dress, specifically kimonos, so maybe bunny girl fans would love this one instead. For shipping, I've just been going surface, whichever is cheaper. I'm not in much of a hurry to get them, and can spend the extra money on more figures.
i am not into anime figures but i really liked the quality of the video, your set-up, edition of the video and the way you comment, it was really entertaining
A very fair evaluation for an incredibly expensive product! Personally i am delving into the Chinese resin statue side of things as they seem to be getting really popular in the past year and i am seeing very good models pop up (not sure about the physical product 😅). It looks to be a good time for collectors ahead as prices moderate to more sane levels again, cheers Ken (And i really do hope the resin statues turn out as good as their renders look 💸 lol)
Nice review as usual Ken. I've become relatively selective when POing figures now. The prices have become astronomically higher than ever before and the quality level has been stagnate in my opinion. I've currently got 6 POs but I'm planning to cancel one of them. Also with figures been mass produced and over supplied into the market, figure values tend to drop in the aftermarket these days, so unlike the early days when if you don't PO, you'll never see them ever again, figures these days tending to be binning. So it basically makes POing worthless and might as well gamble in the aftermarket. Sometimes I even forget figures I didn't PO and then when it comes out into the market, I don't even feel the need for them to be in my collection, even with their discounted price due to binning. It's a pretty weird and chaotic period in the figure space I feel currently.
i watched a documentary about figures like this one in general and there was one professional that told the people doing the research for the documentary movie that the process of creating these figures is actually raising the chances to get cancer dramastically.
I had no plans to buy this figure but I saw it on display at Amiami in Novemeber during my trip to Japan and I knew I had to buy it. Got it second hand and it was much cheaper at around $400. For $400 I think it’s kind of worth it considering most bunnies now are in the $300 range.
I sniped it off the pre-owned section on amiami for $550 total after shipping. Definitely im glad i waited the 2 months for her to pop up on the second hand market.
You can actually buy these for a cheaper prices if you have someone you know from Japan or a Toy Hunter, you can ask them to find these specific figures and buy it for you. They can ship it thru cheaper ways too.
Man, I definitely would have gone with Surface on this one. FREEing quality is meh most of the time. Thanks for taking one for the team. I'll use your Buyee link next time to help.
I skipped this one because I cannot justify the price. I can't wait for the APEX wedding dress one tho, hopefully that one turns out as great as the prototype!
I love New Jersey, partly because it’s my home state but seeing how the Snow-White Ceremony version looks and is priced I’m going with that one as the quintessential New Jersey figure.
OH LOL you right, i did forget about that. i don't remember how much i paid import/customs for it. Must have erased it from memory due to traumatic experience for my wallet.
I picked this figure up on sale a month ago, and its even cheaper right now @ 50% off (33,000 yen). The foot not touching the pole 100% bothered me, and the pole is a very tight fit. I didnt look too too close into the details of her hair but i do have very loose bunny ears, to the point that i prefer not to touch them. This was my introductory 1/4 figure and i underestimated just how much space it takes up. Theres no space on my shelving that can accommodate her, so i have her placed on top of the shelf in a space i was reserving for my beach figure collection. All that said, i do enjoy the figure. Maybe id prefer a 1/5 or 1/6 scale instead but at least atm, thats not an option. I did just preorder the FREEing 1/4 scale bunny rupee as well. I hope for 50,000 yen i have less issues but everyone elses comments kinda has me not expecting too much, but the waifu is a must buy so we'll see.
Nothing worse than an expensive-ass figure having an annoying assembly process, though damn this feels like the most you've dug into a figure's flaws. Not really surprised though considering FREEing's track record
Yeah most of the time i don't really dive deep into any figures that much since i don't really consider my videos "reviews" per say, just showcases/unboxing videos. And i feel most of the ones i collect are pretty good and I don't have anything negative to say about them. But considering the price for this one, i felt the need to judge it more than i typically do xD
Yeah, I still can't get over the fact that the foot is just hovering there. I opted to display her without the giant hair, because I lack the space. I think she still looks pretty good without the hair being attached! Wished the wedding version popped up prior. I would have just gone for that and not this FREEing one 😮💨
Not only has Freeing raised prices without much to show for it, their Quality Control has actually gone down since the pandemic. Nowadays everyone I talk to to who as a freeing bunny from 2020 on has said that there is significant QC issues. And it sadly seems like NJ was no exception. It's wild to think they raised prices and expect us to be satisfied with subpar quality. Either way I love her face and I always look forward to your videos, Keep up the good work!!
freeing is just not worth it to get now with their prices, its definitely be better to spend on Mimeyoi or Alter.. even Apex Toys price are cheaper with way better qc
Got mine from HLJ for about 500 euros(including shipping) and its………something alright. I agree about it being somewhat overpriced and I certainly won’t go for products with that price again but I’m still happy with the overall figure for what it is knowing that, when compared to your’s, my anime figurine collection isn’t that big anyway so she fits right on top of my bedroom shelf. 8 out of 10.
Already knew itd go down in price when i first bought it, i dont feel as scammed since i mainly got it for the video and the video did pretty well but anybody else definitely should lol
My brother got her for 700€. Honestly, even so I'm not a big fan of New Jersey and 1/4 scale figures, I still think she's overpriced. It feels like FREEing is trying to push the limits just to see how far they can go before people stop buying their figures. Also, about the colors difference between the photos and the actual figures. I think that's because promotional photos are modified to give more saturation, so the colors appear more vibrant. If you pay attention you'll noticed that it's not just the hair but the entire figure. It's particularly visible with the skin.
It's a nice and well-done figure. Dont get me wrong. And I know just how hard it is to make and mass produce these things. But I don't think it's worth the $770 price tag tbh. Sure, a lot of work has been put into it. But yeah...
It's a great figure but that price just ain't it. I do agree with you, I love the pole aspect of the figure. In the most undegenerate(?) way I can say it, I do wish there were more non nsfw night club/dancing figures. Just every time I see them, I really like them. Also, your complaint about the foot not touching the pole is totally justified imo. I just got the Sundress Utaha from Phat and in every promotional picture, her hands are holding her hat. Mine doesn't. No matter how I place the hat on her head, the edges will not reach both of her hands. If I place it a certain way and angle the figure, from a distance, you can't tell. But it still bothers me a lot. But to beat a dead horse, shipping prices... what the hell are they doing? I just had to pay $75 (EMS, DHL was almost double that) for the 1/6 Lingerie Chizuru figure that released last month. I've had to pay high shipping before but that was for Belfast Oath which is a large box so fair enough but that was $90 DHL last year. I'm newer to the figure collecting scene and there are so many figures that I want but almost all of them, I'm just not ordering in hopes that they'll drop down in the aftermarket so I reasonably afford them.
Shipping has definitely gotten worse since the pandemic, and i dont think we'll ever go back to the good ol days 🥲 but yeah i always recommend never preordering now a days since figures typically bin by a little to quite a lot depending on the figure, and of course going preowned is always an option.
@@KenKen004 Just an update as I hope others will see this too, that Chizuru figure I ordered. EMS as I said was $75, and DHL was like $130ish. I had originally chosen EMS but I reached out to AmiAmi (They were closed for the holidays when I contacted them, took a long time to get back to me) to see if they could put my figure in a smaller box. They said they would be willing to refund me, I had already paid cause I got the warning that if I didn't, the order would be cancelled, and then sent me a new payment invoice. EMS came down to $55 and DHL to $61. So, never hurts to try and ask for a smaller box I suppose.
@@turbosnail6119 Has Good Smile not resumed shipping to the us? like i always pre order and buy there and they have a flat rate of 2000 yen for shipping in selected countries Mexico where i live is one of them, that's why i never pre order bunnies for any other site because of thaty flat shipping rate.
I have this figure but wanted to watch your video for your take on it but mainly for your beautiful cinematography. And I was NOT disappointed. Great work as always. And YES this figure was a pain in the ass to put on the base with that pole. I thought I had a defect but ended up doing it exactly how you had it My figure also has an issue her right arm being very loose, to the point that if it’s bumped or just over time it will fall out
Wow, you're unsually calm about that scratch on the $700 figure's hair! If it were me I would have been hyperventilating! 😬 Also Freeing seems to be getting very deceptive with their proto photos which would make me distrustful as a buyer.
Its on a portion i dont see unless i look underneath the figure so im not too peeved about it, and its something i did myself. If the figure came like that tho id be a lot more mad haha
For her right foot if you want it to fit properly and don’t want to mod the base all you have to do is take the left foot out of its support and everything will shift forward.
FREEing makes some real cash-grabs nowadays. Especially their bigger pieces. The level of detail and texture can't hope to compete with the likes of Gecco in that price range and more often than not they fall short even of Goodsmile's premium stuff. But bunny girl and other sexy stuff is always bound to be overpriced, so no surprises in that regard.
thank you, for always taking one for the team 770 dollars + import taxes for this.. honestly sounds like a bad deal xD considering the issues you pointed out, it's almost kinda rude they want that much money for it, and I also agree, the base could have been done A LOT better the damn figure is 600 bucks, the least they could do is just make it a custom base xD it can't be that hard i picked up their rereleased ten count bunnies, and honestly FREEing just ain't it I mean, I did get very detailed back, shoulder and cleavage sculpts, which I can appreciate, but considering the hair sculpt and paint job, I dare say I own prize figures with better quality xD
Ah, Freeing production quality... They continue to have warping issues with their moulds, leading to difficult assembly and poor fits. I have the Kaguya Shinomiya bunny, and whilst I love the sculpt, the hands are meant to be touching fingertips in front of her, and they just... Don't. It's an issue that apparently effects about 90% of owners of that figure. The sculpt just warps in production and moves the hands further away from each other. For the cost of these 1/4 figures they absolutely need to sort out these issues.
I always keep figure boxes for when I need to sell them. Its easier to just reuse the box packaging when you need to ship things off or want to store a figure because you don't have anywhere to display it. If you think you'll keep the figure forever sure, but I can never be too sure. I alway inevitably want to rotate older figures for newer ones and I have limited space.
I too bought this. and the other 1/4ths (waiting for all of them very excited for Brem and Kashino), the wedding one of New Jersey is gonna be wonderful, I don't recommend buying this one either unless you can get a heavy discount, she's definitely a wonderful show piece and is great if you love her, but she reminds me when ALTER made a figure of Prinz Eugen, I ignored that one due to the price at the time - and the idea of her shipping price despite liking her, yet I for some reason bought this one, basically doubled - again both good figures, but prices are comically absurd now all around for little inconsistencies that may ruin them for you... But I can't say much, I'm thankful that I am able/can buy a massive amount of figures myself, prices be damned (wouldn't mind if they let up a bit though haha)
Mine is worth it. I cancelled my order from AmiAmi one week before she was set to ship. Found her on Buyee two weeks later with a 20% off coupon new in box. I paid around $520.00 with shipping. I forget but it was either DHL or EMS. I don’t use the extra bases but her hair does require that support so I have her surrounded by other Freeing figures and her hair is supported by the bases of those figures. I’m using a Sixth Moducase and can fit her plus two other 1/4 figures in a Sixth98. Probably even a fourth figure depending on the pose.
YES! when you said NJ wedding skin figure! I was gonna suggest people get that too! So far my experience with Apex has been good! So I have faith they wiil do great!
That might be the way to go. Unless I really want it (Ayaka for instance), or gauge the public interest to be high enough (Wakamo is an example), I might only preorder under 20k yen.
@@SirthOsiris If I add up the total savings I could have made by cancelling orders it’s around $630 as I have to pay import cost for anything over 23k yen. It’s the reason why I stop order anything over 18k yen.
@@joshnator1 I don't think I've had any issues with an import cost other than one figure that ended up being heavier than I would have thought (Surface was 9k yen). But I also think all my other preorders are under 18k anyway.
Can we have Ryan Semanski do an unboxing for one of these? Somehow it just feels right for the curator of Battleship New Jersey to narrate an unboxing of New Jersey.
i just mine today . i bought it for $515 usd thats with shipping and tax included and brand new of course. i got really lucky because the seller dropped the price to $521 shipping included and i had a $10 coupon and i had a paypal discount of $50 which pretty much almost paid for all the taxes. end total was $515.01 usd
must agree on all the facts you stated especially with the price and quality but as you mentioned still happy because im a huge new jersey fan and the wedding dress version is already pre ordered.
yeah i grabbed her on yahoo auctions for 46k yen and less than 10k yen to ship to the UK. costing me a total of £320 not including import tax yet ofcourse. so closer to £400 i recon when she arrives. My favourite ship as well so had to get her really
i collapsed and kept her box but threw out the blisters, but when collapsed the box doesnt fold into the box it came in from amiami so folded it in half one more time and it fit
I don't know if you still check the comments on this but surface at least to Ontario is only like 1-1.5 months in my experience with it this year so its pretty worth it for the savings but guaranteed to get taxed with customs
I'm sure she will drop in price. I might get her at 35-40k. In the mean time, my wallet is getting ready to pre-order all the Mimeyoi 1/4 that they have planned. I've also started buying statues, 1/3rd. 1/2 scale. That's the next evolutionary step, so prepare yourself.
finally got to build her. thanks for the tipp with the pole. That was scary as hell. But with the foot it seems i was lucky since it doesnt touch the pole. But damn for that price they could have done better. Their lucky that i like new jersey so much.
Glad i watched this im gonna wait for alters figure i just havnt been wronged by them when it comes to sculpt and quality and like you said for 700$ the mistakes are unacceptable imo.
Wedding dress is most likely because of the base. It's 1/7 but with the base everything including the dress, it'll have a factor of being something like a 1/5 or 1/6 (due to measurement counting that bunny ear). Not to mention replaceable faces? Good god that new jersey is leagues better but in any case, the 1/4 freeing has something extra...the butt, I've noticed it with a couple of 1/4 freeing that I own. I wish I could afford any of this though, I have my money set on some Hatsune Miku, so the nendo new jersey will suffice as well as playmat, deck box, and sleeves for the art of new jersey. (not to mention I'm one of the few giving Bearpanda 1/4 a try as that's coming very soon, pretty insane to have it cost only 9800 yen for a 1/4)
I was planning to get her but once it got closer to the release date i decided to cancel and just get a resin instead. Lately i feel like buying pvc figures isnt worth it anymore, especially when you pay for full price and the aftermarket price tanks or you overpaid just before they announce a re-release or its just not up to quality as you hoped for. Its happened to me so many times recently, i might as well save myself from the disappointment and just move on to resins. 😅
My first 1 I got from amiami her arm was snapped off in the packaging . luckily I got it sorted but with how much it is you'd think that wouldn't be a problem. great figure tho Your review with the lighting makes the figure look even better
Great video, i think if you look at the arts of this skin and pose, the "pole" is actually curved, i think freeing had kind of the right idea in what they were trying to do, but if the pole was meant to be curved like the source material i think it would actually fit in the hand and with the foot, as well as the socket on the base Probably an area of improvement for Freeing in the future where they could bend the pole a bit
Very new to anime figures, typically do these have one "printing" and then its all after market sales? (not specifically this one just generally) Made a pretty big recent purchase and still adjusting my budgeting but id like to start getting random stuff to decorate with and figures seem like a good "go to" but im not sure if i would need to find a specific month they are coming out and buy it then or if its more like a traditional product that once its "released" you can just order another one months later?
The systems usually run based on preorders, so they make whatever amount is ordered from retail stores and then release it. Any stock that is left over is usually from cancellations. Now a days the market is pretty over saturated so depending on the series/figure there could be a good amount of left over stock which causes figures to "bin" in price sometimes since the stores need to sell them to get rid of the space they're taking up. So i don't recommend preordering at all as of late since evrything is pretty obtainable, before the pandemic if a figure was a good figure and you didnt preorder it, you wouldnt be able to find it in stock on retail stores since there wouldnt be any left and would have to go find them second hand from resellers.
@@KenKen004 damn dawg that was quick, much appreciated the info. As an uncultured bald eagle who can only speak and read in FREEDUM where would be a good place to find the schedules for upcoming figures? Ive watched a fair bit of your videos and you seem to heavily imply theres a ton of stuff out there on the horizon, far too much for you to cover it all.
I dont really know of any places that have schedules per say, for upcoming stuff i just keep up with events from manufactures that happen like every few months such as wonfes, by using social media like twitter usually use hashtags and pictures are posted from people who attend and take pictures. But what i would recommend is just checking retail stores to see whats new every now and again, and using myfigurecollection.net, and going to character pages to see if theres any figures in the works for a chracter you like.
i was about to buy this figure too but then i saw the price and said, "'hell nah." Other 1/4s i bought were always like 250-350 USD, sometimes 400. This one was 650 or 700 USD thru amiami. I love New Jersey but this figure was not it.
o7 to your wallet. It ain't much but I hope my like and viewership helps 😭😂 Ngl I'm so happy my hype for freeing's 1/4 left (would still like own a Lucy Heartfilia bunny someday tho), cause for $700 I'd expect top tier QC 😭
Damn I'm sorry to hear it's dissapointed you. Like it overall looks really BIG and impressive, but with all the little things you mentioned, I'd be ready to pay 250€ MAX for it
@@KenKen004 Well, I dunno if it helps, but in your shelf it's gonna look great! Just don't get too close to it, or look at it from certain angles, so u don't see the ankle not touching the pole.. T_T
i dont play the game, but i got her anyway cuz i rly love her smug face so much and the whole dynamic scene, she is kinda hella cute for me... (I WISH NOT... considering the price and flaws) but yah, ... it really was mainly the face & overall scene but god do I wish Mimeyoi would have done her... (or a smaller scale) that box def could have kept smaller in my opinion, if they had tried a bit more to save space between the blisters.
I so agree with the pricing argument with FREEing, after 2021 i went from being FREEings biggest shill to its biggest hater. I also think their quality has actually dropped since the ngnl figures. I remember when they showed off both the Marin and Ai Hayasaka ones in colour I audibly said to myself, "atleast i save $1000.
CA$770? Wow. To me, she looks nice, but not $700+ nice. I will always aim to buy figures of gacha game characters second-hand because of their high probability of bargain-binning in the aftermarket. The extra bases look pretty ridiculous. The amount of space this figure takes is equally so. It needs to be a masterpiece centerpiece given its space and price. And it isn't even perfect. Hey, if KenKen's masterful presentation can't make the figure justify its cost, then that is definitely a no-go for me. ;) Thank you for the review!
That one has been delayed indefinitely by Mimeyoi due to the factory audit in China. She will be released once they sorted out the audit. I am waiting for her too.
Oh and no, it won't fit in a detolf of course xD
Nope, I am trying to build a custom case to fit her. I have a lot of trouble assembly her into the base too, it was a pain in the butt. I actually got her for a lot cheaper thanks to Buyee 20% coupon, and credit card reward. I ended up paying more for the shipping cost than the figure itself.
I think someone did fit her into a detolf, but you had to remove a base or two to do so
Detlof dreams are over after that sentence lol
I was able to to fit Rengoku 1/4 in the detolf by making a smaller square base, and having him on the bottom
If there was a fire what 10 figures you saving?
If I spend over $700 on an anime figure, it better come with an irl counterpart of the character
LOL
ill take the entire stock!
I’d pay 7k for that
i agree

Very detailed and great review. Yeah, I ended up passing on this one.
In some ways I feel they know they can push these prices knowing how much people are willing to spend in Gachas

It looks to be a good time for collectors ahead as prices moderate to more sane levels again, cheers Ken
(And i really do hope the resin statues turn out as good as their renders look 💸 lol)
To image that this figurine cost 90% of my pc with good spec is astounding...
For $400 I think it’s kind of worth it considering most bunnies now are in the $300 range.
almost 100k subs yay! well deserved 👏
I sniped it off the pre-owned section on amiami for $550 total after shipping. Definitely im glad i waited the 2 months for her to pop up on the second hand market.
I’ve started to get into Gunpla and it’s so cheap by comparison. You could buy several Perfect Grades for less money.
Yeah no surprise there lol
You can actually buy these for a cheaper prices if you have someone you know from Japan or a Toy Hunter, you can ask them to find these specific figures and buy it for you. They can ship it thru cheaper ways too.
Well, thanks for the financial advice Ken. I’ll wait until she goes on sale XD
I still don't understand how they can't mke the packaging better for that price.
I love New Jersey, partly because it’s my home state but seeing how the Snow-White Ceremony version looks and is priced I’m going with that one as the quintessential New Jersey figure.
pretty sure actual pole dancers come cheaper than this
KenKen casually admitting he didn't pay import taxes^^
All I heared was it was stiff, not pushing the pole in all the way or it gets stuck and much more... interesting. I need this figure.
@@KenKen004 Yeah I getcha. She def deserved a bit of a roasting lol
Either way I love her face and I always look forward to your videos, Keep up the good work!!
freeing is just not worth it to get now
with their prices, its definitely be better to spend on Mimeyoi or Alter.. even Apex Toys price are cheaper with way better qc
That figure is $400 now you definitely got scammed.
I thought I had a defect but ended up doing it exactly how you had it
My figure also has an issue her right arm being very loose, to the point that if it’s bumped or just over time it will fall out
Wow, you're unsually calm about that scratch on the $700 figure's hair! If it were me I would have been hyperventilating! 😬
Also Freeing seems to be getting very deceptive with their proto photos which would make me distrustful as a buyer.
Its on a portion i dont see unless i look underneath the figure so im not too peeved about it, and its something i did myself. If the figure came like that tho id be a lot more mad haha
bro your video quality is insane, new sub for you
For her right foot if you want it to fit properly and don’t want to mod the base all you have to do is take the left foot out of its support and everything will shift forward.
waifu figures are the worlds greatest creation
FREEing makes some real cash-grabs nowadays. Especially their bigger pieces. The level of detail and texture can't hope to compete with the likes of Gecco in that price range and more often than not they fall short even of Goodsmile's premium stuff. But bunny girl and other sexy stuff is always bound to be overpriced, so no surprises in that regard.
thank you, for always taking one for the team
770 dollars + import taxes for this.. honestly sounds like a bad deal xD
considering the issues you pointed out, it's almost kinda rude they want that much money for it, and I also agree, the base could have been done A LOT better
the damn figure is 600 bucks, the least they could do is just make it a custom base xD it can't be that hard
i picked up their rereleased ten count bunnies, and honestly FREEing just ain't it
I mean, I did get very detailed back, shoulder and cleavage sculpts, which I can appreciate, but considering the hair sculpt and paint job, I dare say I own prize figures with better quality xD
Thanks for the video Ken.
No problem 👍
But I can't say much, I'm thankful that I am able/can buy a massive amount of figures myself, prices be damned
(wouldn't mind if they let up a bit though haha)
I got Alters Prinz and while you could say it was pricey, atleast the price to quality ratio was leagues better than this one lmao
No one asked tho
YES! when you said NJ wedding skin figure! I was gonna suggest people get that too! So far my experience with Apex has been good! So I have faith they wiil do great!
Kinda risky buying a second hand girl figure 💀
Where are you even gonna find a jar big enough for it
Multiple stands for hair is something I’ve personally never seen. I agree a big/oval one would have been better.
I can see why now that she dropped to 45k yen, I have started to cancel figures that are over 18k yen as they drop in price on the after market.
Yup smart way to go.
For that price, it better be a secret cast off or just a cast off in general. Only way to justify such an insane price.
Im so glad I got her for 450! All in, even VAT. (Europe)
yeah i grabbed her on yahoo auctions for 46k yen and less than 10k yen to ship to the UK. costing me a total of £320 not including import tax yet ofcourse. so closer to £400 i recon when she arrives. My favourite ship as well so had to get her really
i collapsed and kept her box but threw out the blisters, but when collapsed the box doesnt fold into the box it came in from amiami so folded it in half one more time and it fit
She was like 40% off on Amazon jp during one of the holiday sales, probably only time it’s worth it
facts
I don't know if you still check the comments on this but surface at least to Ontario is only like 1-1.5 months in my experience with it this year so its pretty worth it for the savings but guaranteed to get taxed with customs
They could have done an tapered angular type base to cover the area, like the Franxx Wedding Dress figure base
I canceled this so fast when I saw that Alter is making a figure of her too.
I’ve specifically been waiting for your video on this one. Cheers Ken Ken
finally got to build her. thanks for the tipp with the pole. That was scary as hell. But with the foot it seems i was lucky since it doesnt touch the pole. But damn for that price they could have done better. Their lucky that i like new jersey so much.
still a better investment than a ps5 pro
Glad i watched this im gonna wait for alters figure i just havnt been wronged by them when it comes to sculpt and quality and like you said for 700$ the mistakes are unacceptable imo.
Eventhough it's only a small paint scratch on the bottom hair, it still seems very painful for a 770$ scale
You couldve bought so much chewing gum with that money
You couldve given that money to me
My first 1 I got from amiami her arm was snapped off in the packaging . luckily I got it sorted but with how much it is you'd think that wouldn't be a problem. great figure tho
Your review with the lighting makes the figure look even better
Great video, i think if you look at the arts of this skin and pose, the "pole" is actually curved, i think freeing had kind of the right idea in what they were trying to do, but if the pole was meant to be curved like the source material i think it would actually fit in the hand and with the foot, as well as the socket on the base
Probably an area of improvement for Freeing in the future where they could bend the pole a bit
Cons: price
Pros: NEW JERSEYY
@@KenKen004 Hell yeah brother, thanks for everything, be well.
6:10 seems like a major oversight, like did no one actually check this beforehand?
i was about to buy this figure too but then i saw the price and said, "'hell nah." Other 1/4s i bought were always like 250-350 USD, sometimes 400. This one was 650 or 700 USD thru amiami. I love New Jersey but this figure was not it.
o7 to your wallet. It ain't much but I hope my like and viewership helps 😭😂
Ngl I'm so happy my hype for freeing's 1/4 left (would still like own a Lucy Heartfilia bunny someday tho), cause for $700 I'd expect top tier QC 😭
Before I watched video a question popped up instantly:
Was it worth it?
Damn I'm sorry to hear it's dissapointed you. Like it overall looks really BIG and impressive, but with all the little things you mentioned, I'd be ready to pay 250€ MAX for it
i knew it wasn't gonna be worth it from the start but wanted to get it anyways for the video. xD
I got the figure too and i tried to set it up but the black peg isnt going into her foot socket and its ruining the paint job at the bottom. Any tips?
I so agree with the pricing argument with FREEing, after 2021 i went from being FREEings biggest shill to its biggest hater. I also think their quality has actually dropped since the ngnl figures. I remember when they showed off both the Marin and Ai Hayasaka ones in colour I audibly said to myself, "atleast i save $1000.
Oof welp their loss, they're losing a lot of customers now a days i feel, but i dont really see them backing down on their prices
Completely unacceptable for that price tag. You could literally buy a PS5 for less than that.
Only justification I see for myself if I were to purchase this figure is being a fan of New Jersey
Now don't mind my wallet crying
CA$770?
Hey, if KenKen's masterful presentation can't make the figure justify its cost, then that is definitely a no-go for me. ;)
Thank you for the review!
700$ Azure Lane figure Vs 700$ Dekka Fumo
New Jersey fan here, pretty much confirm I'll buy all her figureine. RIP wallet-kun
Such soft hands buddy
I am ordereing all of Mimeyoi's 1/4 but Freeing is crazy with these prices and overall quality.
66.000 yen is an insane price for such a figure ...
Wheres the crowd at thats been waiting on the Scorching Hot Summer Bremerton Figure to finally ship? Been waiting a little over a year on her now lmao
That one has been delayed indefinitely by Mimeyoi due to the factory audit in China. She will be released once they sorted out the audit. I am waiting for her too.
"Nice!"
Dont feel so bad. Shes sooo preatty. Its a fantastic figure. If she was more coverd, i would looove to have her😮❤😊
