As many colour and visual cues as possible with definitely help that mental connection between what's on pc screen and what's on the electra screen. Defintely a good idea! Do you have any videos on how it works in Ableton Live?
Hi Jürgen, this controller seems to actually do what I initially wanted the Faderfox EC4 to do (which I never managed to make work like I wanted - now collecting dust). How responsive is the Electra One in terms of a) screen/touch), b) the encoders?
Both work nicely. However, as I mention in the video the knobs are currently only absolute. But support for a relative settings should be there soon (then I can also add a setting for the speed of the knobs).
I've the electra and it's wonderful. But I've found it often hangs with Bitwig, though that is with a different controller script to yours. I will definitely get your script installed!
How does it perform with recording automation? And maybe even more important: How does it behave editing existing automation? (Fighting the faders, touch sensitive)
Touch automation is actually a problem since the knobs currently do not transmit their touch events (thanks for reminding me at this issue). Besides that it works fine.
@@audiunt The knobs have touch but the events are currently not transmitted. Will be hopefully added soon. The screen is clearly a touch screen if that was the question.
Hi! Thanks for this. I love the Electra One, so installed your driver. Unfortunately, I get very large delays when changing mode. It can 15+ seconds after touching the button combo until the patch changes. I have the latest driver installed. I suspect its because i have a version one unit, though I did buy it about 18 months ago. However, if you've other ideas on how to getbtge device responding well, I am keen to know. A huge thank you for your work. Your videos on how to develop bitwig device patvhes are also gold!
I also have a Mk I (there is not yet a Mk II). Did you install the latest Firmware? Currently 3.2. What is your operating system? It might be also worth to check the Script console in Bitwig to which I log the received button combinations and page changes (Press Ctrl+Return, type "console" and execute the command).
It seems great. However, I noticed that the virtual knob in Diva (OSC 2 volume) goes back to 0 before moving in the right direction. Could you please confirm that the current value of Diva parameters are not sent from Bitwig to the Electra One? EDIT : can you also tell me if it's easy to add whatever REAPER action as a button to the Electro One main page?
@@mossgraber Thanks for your message. It was more a question on the E1 than of the Diva preset. I will ask on the official forum to be sure. Okay for REAPER actions. I guess I need to create my own preset to trigger actions by MIDI commands.
Fantastic. Please can we automatically load a configured preset linked to that the selected (in Bitwig, or on the E1) device (e.g. select Diva and the Diva editor preset loads)?
That's on my list of things to think about. Not fully sure when exactly you want that to happen. E.g. if you switch tracks you do not want it to jump straight to a different preset. Ideas welcome.
2 approaches to consider: Pin current preset button - auto switches to reflect bitwig selection unless you pin it. Once pinned, it points at that instance of that plugin. Or Whatever device you select it shows a “switch to selected device” button and selecting that loads the appropriate preset etc.

Does this nice controller also support Ableton? I think Mr Moßgraber only codes for Bitwig, not Ableton, so Ableton users will not be able to enjoy Electra One?
@@mossgraber haha yes, i m thinking about changing sides, but also not so hopeful about getting what i need in Bitwig (loopstation functionality). Bitwig support said they added my wishes to their list, but who knows when it will come. And just recently i found a m4l plugin for what i need called "one button looper" , so sticking with Ableton for now. Willing to change anytime Bitwig has a great update for me.

You need to check back with the author of the Diva template. No, you cannot add Reaper actions.
