See Pete Porker and his collection vintage old school BMX, the world's largest and most complete collection of Quicksilvers including the infamous BBR and Helium.
I had a 1979 Reliance Trakmaster. From the age of 5 until my late teens. That bike copped alot of abuse. Took me on many adventures. Never let me down.
Wow that brought back a lot of memories I had 2 PK rippers they were known for the frame cracking I cracked both mine I had also had a redline RL 20 II , hutch trick star and a CW Z frame I so miss those days!
Back in the 80s i had a full cro-mo dp firebird freestyle frame with gt bars,tuff-neck cranks and stem, mx brakes and skyway mags man i wish i still had that bike!!
thanks a lot man!i live in greece so old skool parts are not in the market anymore!i own for many years a mongoose supergoose which i made it a bmx bandits movie replica.all chrome with blue rims and parts!i haven't ride it since 1996 but i found it in my garage and now i want to restore it!
I had a powder blue SE PK Ripper, Cooks Brothers Racing, California Mongoose and other bikes in the 80s. I've always wanted a Hutch Trickstar, Haro Freestyle and a Skyway TA. Tried to shop for an old Trickstar to hang in my man cave, but those things run for big bucks.
I still have my old bmx bikes in my attic. A Robinson, a Supergoose, and a Thruster. Boxes full of old araya rims, a uni seat ,red line cranks etc. Glad somebody thinks this stuff is cool. I raced here in Miami Fl back in the day early 80's- Nelson Chanady era.
Yeh, I liked that PK Ripper after a while. At first I was scared of the Aluminum and the giant welding, thinking that was somehow not strong. I thought Torkers were funny, had no friends with Torkers. I had a Redline and then a Hutch. Still have the Hutch today, want to give it to a son or daughter if I ever have one. The only sad thing is that I could not afford Hutch Pedals or Cranks or Hubs! I have the Hutch Forks, Neck, Handlebars. Great video....thanks.
back in the 80's i had chrome framed bmx with plasic moulded blue wheels.. i wish to god i still had it! i must be greatful that ive still got my red reliegh grifter... hoorey!!!
Yeah, those days were really fun, bikes were great. I had mixed feelings back then about he PK Ripper and the aluminum but what I know now, about aluminum and welding, those bikes were to bomb........I did love SE colors, the baby blue and the camoflauge, and the light browns.......really neat. I had Redline and Hutch however, Still have my hutch in great shape.....wish I had the pedals and the cranks however.
I really want a mongoose. I saw them from the movie Bmx Bandits. Love them, tho they cost alot. So time to start saving 👍🏻 just like the one at 1:04 but made by mongoose
Best bikes over all CW, Hutch, RedLine, National Pro, JMC and number 1 over all a VDC (Voris/Dickson) The last 3 you can't touch those bikes. On the track and in the wallet then and now. If you can find any of the last 3 your lucky if you get one for under $5,000.
I don't think p.k.ripper was first box made out of aluminum, maybe in Australia. Here in usa,I had fmf,g-boy.those where aluminum I had them back in 1977 -78..But s&e had very nice frames.Jmc,cook bros should i stop..the first bikes are still the best..i have the first model Patterson nickel plated got it in garage sale 13 years ago for 20 $...i scored

@moms house - I have a beam affixed to the wall and just normal bike hooks hanging the bikes. Pete.

The rim snapped at the end?
I don't see it. They may be old but those rims where designed to cop abuse.
Does anyone know how he has the bikes hanging on the wall? Are those just hooks holding the wheels?
Not true. The "Foiler" was out before the PK Ripper.
