Congrats on the new dig's Doug! A lifetime ago we lived in the (then) northern part of Tucson, off North La Canada Dr just north of West Magee Road. Back then the golf course a bit northeast of us was brand new and the Foothills Mall was brand new too. Told you, a life time ago! LOL Glad your settled in enough to make videos again and the chicks are still with the family. Enjoy the new Amiga Studio!!!! Again, congratulations!
Foothills mall is not even recognizable now. They tore the main mall down late last year, and are making it an outdoor complex only. La Canada and Magee is about 5 minutes from my house
@@10MARCWOW, sure a lot has changed, normally we visit to see the place every few years but not lately as the in-laws moved from Chandler to Payson and most of my other siblings left Phx so we don't go out as much now. To narrow it down we lived at 1300 W. Dawn Dr. the back 1/2 achre were corrals and such for horses at the time. Good times living there, only thing I don't miss is heat and rattlers that would visit often. 😉
Nice to see you in a video again, healthy and happy. 😄👍 Seeing the ST in the dumpster made me laugh out loud - so funny! 🎉😂 Looking forward to your next video! I am sure it will be exciting and fun! 👍
Oh yeah. Watching you walk out of the house, I knew where you were headed. Classic! Even my wife, who isn't into retro computers, chuckled! Great to see you back! VCF Midwest is coming up in Sept. They just moved to a larger venue. Think it is time you made an appearance!
SAME!!! You two are so very lucky to each have a good size bedroom for your retro rooms!! I live in a TINY house and wife has the 2nd BR which is crazy TINY as her crafting room, and I have one 17-foot wall in what should be our dining room as my retro area.
Glad to see you back online and in a nice spacious studio! You know, you could always leave the Atari machines at the old place for the renters to enjoy... ;)
HUGE CONGRATS on the new house! Great to see your face and hear your voice again, Doug. You've got a very impressive collection and super cool setup now. Must feel great to finally have your own dedicated Commodore Studio! Really happy for you. May 2024 continue to bring you good health and prosperity. OH! And that might be one of the best looking mini-computers I've ever seen. ;)
I had videos planned in late January and early February, and then something new would come up that would take up all my day. Quite frustrating, really.
Wonderful studio and happy come back, just yesterday I was wondering, what happened to 10marc, nice to see your passion is still high and it is going well!
Yes, the passion is high but time is so limited! For some reason I cannot get myself to shoot videos in the evening after work. I am usually hanging out with the wife then
Welcome back Doug. Up in Phoenix and no beer:30 call? C'mon man! hehe... but i hear you on being busy! Glad you are finding a little more balance again!
Yep. I get to Phoenix several times a month and it is always "drive two hours there, do a half dozen jobs, and try to get home before 10 PM" it is far past time that we all meet for a beer, though. I have several Amiga-buddies in the Phoenix area and we all need to get together.
The cool thing is that I have decided to keep my old studio, too. We still own the other house and are going to rent it out, but I am renovating 1/2 the garage including my old studio for my use. Eventually I will film some things from there, too.
I have two A500's still at the old house. One original Rev 5, and my Rev 6 motherboard is in my Checkmate Case for Stephen Jones. I often take that one to shows. The A2000 is so big, especially since it is my Toaster system requiring a gazillion monitors, it is hard to find room to keep it up.
Looks like the beginnings of a nicely set up home. Lots of space, but I live in the UK so space is a totally different concept for most of us here :-D A assume you have to make sure the turtle doesn't get stuck in the pool too? I hope you find him.
Yes, normally Reginald the Tortoise is totally enclosed so there would be no way to get in the pool. He does love the water and spends much of the summer lounging in his water bowl. He can't swim like a turtle can, I think he would sink to the bottom rather quickly.
Nice video. Do you have a link to the stands that your plus/4 and Atari 400 are sitting on. I just got a 2001-N and I need 1 or 2 of those stands if I'm going to be able to still display all my different Commodores. TY. LOL on the Atari St storage. Whay the love for 400 and 800 and NOT love for the ST? I know almost nothing about Atari and only have many Commodore 8-bit computers and an A1200 in my retro collection. Is it that the 400/800 have a MOS 6502 in them?
Yes, I will send you the links on another platform since Youyube goes nuts with links in the comments. The Atari ST is actually fine for productivity software, and was dramatically better than the Mac computers of the same era, but it was a HUGE step back for gaming. No sprites, horrible scrolling and audio worse than the Atari and Commodore 8 bits. On its own it is fine, but compared to an Amiga it lost the race before it even started. Still, being number two but still ahead of PC's and Macs of its generation is something to be proud of. I just have fun with the old "ST vs Amiga" playground battles
I own my own business and also subcontract out to two other companies. Some weeks there is so much work it is hard to juggle it. I have some 14 hour days, and some six hours days, actually.
I know it is! Remember that one awesome game with the great audio, smooth scrolling and responsive action? Oh... Wait... I was thinking of the Commodore 64... ;)
Atari storage, lol! :D New place looks sweet, nice to see you´re doing good.
Thanks so much!

I'm volunteering to rescue that poor ST!
Congrats on the new house! Thanks for the tour. Love seeing other people's collections.
Thanks! This is about 70% of it. I have quite a bit more

no more shirts hanging the closet?! no more AC wall unit!? I kid I kid.. this is great Doug!! Congrats!
Oh those shirts (and my daughter robe she outgrew 9 years ago) are still hanging in the closet at the old house! I will move them... Eventually.
Yesterday I realized you havent posted in 2 months, got me a bit worried there. Welcome back! Now to watch the video :-)
I could hardly believe it myself. I usually feel awful if I miss a week! more than 6 weeks has been driving me crazy!
Thanks so much for showing us around! Love your retro collection, house and animals. All the best and enjoy your upcoming holiday...
Thanks so much!
Glad to hear you are still making vids Doug. Grats on the new house and the new studio!!!
Thank you my friend!
Congrats on the new home, Doug! Good progress on the studio so far! Looking forward to seeing more!
There is always more to do. I did forget to show my software shelf! Maybe a part two will come when I am totally done
Glad you are back Doug! Miss the tutorials and reviews etc… 👍🏻
Thanks! It's good to be back.
Nice new studio space and new home Doug 👍
Thanks so much!
Glad to see you back online and in a nice spacious studio! You know, you could always leave the Atari machines at the old place for the renters to enjoy... ;)
I want to keep the renters, not scare them away.
Congrats on the new house and new Retro room..
Thanks so much! There is still so much to do, but things are finally feeling normal again.

Your sticker fits perfect on there. I think I put it on the first week I got it!
@@10MARC ♡
Congrats! I noticed the pause, glad it's good news!
Yes... so many times I was just getting ready to make a video... Then there is a cabinet to put together or a desk to relocate!
Good to see you back Doug!! :D

Hey we're gonna do a SX-64 Pool Picture too, bought the pink shirt today
Oh nice! Looking forward to seeing it! If anyone is keeping up with the Commodore, it is you.

@@10MARCYes we do! Sounds good!
Doug, You need a "Shop" lol. Maybe if the back yard is large enough, a 10x20 Tuff Shed. Congrats on the House!

Nice to see you again! :)
I hope Reginald turns up soon. He probably misses you.
Reginald is a great tortoise with a fun personality. I miss the little guy
good to hear from you and congrats on your new home. that studio is retro heaven. omg that poot Atari st LOL hope you get your tortoise back.
Yes, I worry about my Reginald every day, and look for him all the time. I really do think he buried himself and will come out when it is warmer
Congrats on the new house, Doug!
Thanks!
Glad you are back Doug
Thanks so much!
Doug, where are your Amiga 500's and 2000's?
This is why we have been in our home for almost 34 years.
Congrats on the move. Love the Atari ST storage solution.
Thanks! I appreciate that. Poor Atari ST...
Doug love your new home hope Reginald turns up have a great trip safe travels.
Thanks for the kind words!
Congratulations, 7yrs is the average most people spend in an address. You've made the right move in the ongoing adventure of living well.
I have heard that, too. I think the longest I have had one house is 12 or 13 years, so that tracks
Congrats Doug & family on the new house👍
Thanks so much!

Enjoy your new home!
Truer words have never been spoken.
That supplementary computer storage solution is absolutely cromulent.
Tee hee hee!
Welcome back! I missed seeing new videos from you.
Well, even 6 or 7 weeks is a bit more frequent than you have been! It's been a year, buddy! ;)
@@10MARC haha this is true. Maybe I’ll produce something this year.
Doug is back! Wolf pak is back! 😁👍
Good to be back, actually.

Now that mystery is solved... Back to finding Carmen Sandiego...phew! 🤔👍
She ran off with Waldo and nobody has seen them since
The ST in the bin, lol. The only place this computer should be !!! Well done !!! :p
I am quite naughty.
Blasphemy treating an Atari like that! Congratulations on the move and new house.
Thanks!
hahahaha I laughed so hard at the ST.
Thanks! That was fun...
How can anyone be surprised that a guy that has no idea how long 10 minutes is, considers "a hot minute" over a month for the rest of us lol😂
Hey! I resemble that remark! ;)
When in China, see if you can find one of the Chinese Amiga clones made in the 1990s.
Really? I need to look that up. Never heard of them!
How is it even legal to be working 50 or 60 hours per week?
I own my own business and also subcontract out to two other companies. Some weeks there is so much work it is hard to juggle it. I have some 14 hour days, and some six hours days, actually.
@@10MARC you deserve a break then.
福 means luck, blessing, fortune, wealth...
Awesome! I am sure my told me that at some point. I guess I should listen to her more!
Atari ST storage, LOL!
Thanks!
What did that trashcan do to deserve an ST.
Don't worry. I cleaned and sanitized the garbage can after I took the Atari ST out of it.
So THAT'S what happened to your ST 😂
Well, I also occasionally use it as a boat anchor, or as a wedge to drive up when when I change the oil in my car. It is quite useful!
NERY NAUGHTY putting the Atari ST in the bin, its a great machine!!
